incondl
I think I'm done with Dry 24/7. They just can't seem to get it figured out. In business or out of business. Make up your mind. Cannot tell you how many of them were ripped at the standing leg cuff. Wide tape works well then you get a more narrow tape that didn't work well at all. Went back to the SecureX with the Total Dry booster after using a foley for a bit & while the Secure X has tapes that are not as good as they should be they are working somewhat & when I needed stock they've been in stock. Ever talk to them... or should I say email? Personalities of a rock! Gary at XP medical is much better to deal with & is real fair however he is pushing the Abena's & they are horrible for me. square_duck
As much as I liked dry 24/7's I don't bother waiting for them to get what ever act they have together I just use my old standbys, Abena M-4's and the total dry xplus, both great products on their own. Either those or Bambino bellisimo and molicares are a good substitute..but I also wear cloth, so the 'shortage' of these doesn't bother me much. sure dry24/7's are nice, but there are other comparable brands out there that are just as worth while.... rusty pins
Typically, when a company decides not to produce their diaper anymore and some other company buys them out or takes over the line, they feel they have to "make changes" or "Improve" on them. Link to comment
incondl
I'm not sure I'd be willing to even give the "new" 24/7 another try. Not at the prices they charge. If I'm going to pay a premium price I expect a premium product. XP Medical in the past has had to send me many replacement packages due to tears. I only hope he was able to recover his money as it sure wasn't his fault. Nothing worse than needing to change away from home, opening the diaper to find it ripped & that's the only one you have with you. I want..... NEED a product that is dependable. The total dry line is good but when you add the ultimate total dry booster now yo have a product that becomes amazing. I can miss my normal change time by hours and not even worry about it. That gives me a much better sense of security. Link to comment
Letluvsrool
Bought a bag of Dry 24/7s a few years ago and unlike most other people I wasn't too happy with them. They absorb a lot of course, but they don't have leak guards! Most high quality diapers have a leak guard inside of the elastic leg gathers that really help contain poopy messes. It seemed like with even a small/normal sized load I would have diaper blowouts from just a little 'enthusiastic' diaper play. I always have a blanket or something to act as a barrier in case of blowouts, but it seemed like it was way more common with 24/7s then with Abenas, Bambinos and other high quality diapers.
