Kari
Are these bigger than Pampers 7 ??? Why don't they make them any more? Super Duper cute and high in demand. Link to comment
DailyDi
Haven't measured a "7" but it seems these would fit up to a 28" waist without modification. Link to comment
square_duck
At the time when these were produced, I believe they were larger then the currently available size 6 disposables. Being European, they were sized a bit bigger for some reason....and also held a lot more and performed better then what was available domestically. They were targeted as a "high end' fashion product aimed at people who could afford such things (naturally) and as such were more expensive then pampers or luvs or what ever, and they worked better as well. Why they stopped making them??? No clue...other then maybe the market dried up (no pun) or they could not turn a profit on them....*shrug* or maybe just limited demand. There is a site that still sells them, so I guess they are still made in Europe/ Italy http://benettondiapers.tripod.com/ http://daddytypes.com/2010/07/04/introducing_benetton_diapers_the_worlds_first_designed_diaper.php http://www.adisc.org/forum/diaper-talk/8366-benetton-diapers-still-being-made.html Thats all I can find... Kari
Haven't measured a "7" but it seems these would fit up to a 28" waist without modification. I keep a package of the first Pampers 7's I saw on store shelf's. With one missing for measurement (and other reasons)... I got 14" on each band waist as well. Basically meaning they were about 10-15 years too late to fit me as a 17 year old. Size 5 was the biggest available when I was that age. That was even b/f Pull Ups and Goodnites. I wore plenty of Goodnites in the 90's only to leak them after one wetting. A real diaper like this would of done the job. Unfortunately thin has been in for some time Link to comment
dmavn
Been going on in all industries lately really, getting more bang for your buck went out the window and it is now about getting more money for less product. Would have loved to have had something like that when I was growing up. Wet the bed every day till I was 19 and my parents tried everything except diapers. Guess they believed the doctors about just being lazy. Which is a load of bs since it is a heck of a lot easier to just go to the pot the have to change a bed every day. When I was about 13 I found an old insulated vest that I wore with my legs through the arm holes, worked pretty good and barely leaked. You know what they say, necessity is the mother of invention.
