gbw_dl Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 man i really hate this season, my nose is always dried with dried boogies and when no one is watching i will pick them so i breath out of my nose, and half of the time my nose will spontaneously bleed, usually when I'm out in public, thats not embarrasing. anybody else know where I'm comming from? Guest little_jonny Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 been there and it sucks ass! my nose would get dried on the bottom of it that i would have to take a wet wash cloth and rub it to get the dead skin off.. just make sure you carry those small pack of tissues with you Link to comment
fideliuscharm Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 vaseline is your friend, After you get out of the shower/done washing face in the morning take a dab and rub it into your nostrils, rub it up and in just a bit, - that will help with the dryness there- as for the rest of your nasal passage - drink more water, and don't pick it, blow gently. Also - consider using a humidifier in your bedroom at night. Link to comment
sarah_ab Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 umm blow the boogers out of your nose before they dry, then use the klenex to gently wipe off inside the nose.. not up deep, just get the extra snot out..... but as for spontaneous nose bleeds yeah they suck! i got one last month at work, wasn't quick enough getting the tissue and it dripped all over my keyboard, well i mean it came gushing out!!!! basically, they came with gloves on and a hazmat bag and took the keyboard away! worst part though i got blood on my shirt... at least i had a sweater with me i could wear Link to comment

If you smile when you pick your nose, is that what they mean by "Picking and Grinning"? (jk) Really, if your picking is causing the bleeds you need to fix it at the source Find whatever the cause is and get it fixed so you don't need to pick- it may be as simple as a dab of Vaseline or there may be an issue with mucus production. See your Doctor and if he can't help, go to a specialist. Most people with this problem can be helped. Often it's caused by too little humidity in the air and then a humidifier or nasal spray works wonders Good luck with the cure - and get your finger out of there til you do! Bettypooh Link to comment

I no longer wear synthetic materials because of that. I've had some pretty mean discharges. Very likely above 20kV. Link to comment

steve in diaps Posted January 27, 2011 Share Posted January 27, 2011 As said above try using nasal saline spray or the nasal gel. It takes a day or two for improvement. Using the gel or vaselin with a Q-tip helps also. But be warned not to stick it in tooo far, Och or the lose of some brain cells ? Link to comment
