  1. Yep. There was calendar on held on the fridge with a magnet. I got to put a gold star on it if my diapers were dry when I went into the kitchen after I got up. I thought there was something I put on it when I was wet or wet during the day but can't remember. It wasn't a motivator and kind of embarrassing. Heading into the kitchen in the morning in wet diapers and plastic pants was like an announcement that I was still a toddler. I had many accidents - and they usually ended with having to get a diaper - but they were not on purpose.
  2. I had some older cousins from the city that came to visit at Christmas and other family events. Of course they knew I had a wetting problem. They were arrogant aholes and I'm guessing they still are. Anyway, they used to hold me down and tickle me. Of course I'd wet my pants. Then they'd tell on me or I'd have to go home wet. Either way I'd get put in a diaper. I remember standing on a changing pad while Mom took my pants and underwear off, then having to lie down to get cleaned up and diapered, then tossed outside to play. Those cousins knew I'd end up coming out of the house in diapers and plastic pants and thought it was too funny. I didn't think that!
  3. Little late to this party...by only 6 years LOL! I'm a horse trainer. I got in a wreck with a horse I was starting 5 years ago and busted a pelvis and burst my bladder. Not really a fun day. 5 weeks later I was out of the hospital but needed diapers because I hadn't used those muscles in so long. So if you haven't found out already, riding a horse with nappies is not a problem at all. In fact, it's some extra cushioning if you have a hard saddle LOL!
  4. I was put in diapers at night for years. Once in a while we'd do a long trip or start off really early. Sometimes I'd be changed out of my wet diapers into dry ones when I got up and back into PJ's to sleep in the car. In any event, I'd have cloth diapers and plastic pants on for the trip. When I started getting older, I didn't like having to wear diapers out of the house, let alone use them. So I tried to 'stay dry' so I wouldn't have to wear them anymore. If I could go back, I'd just let it go like I did when I was a younger kid. Then they'd have kept putting me in diapers lol.
  5. I had a supra-pubic catheter (tube in your belly right into the bladder) for about 5 weeks as a result of a massive infection after I 'popped' my bladder and busted my pelvis in an accident. After those weeks, I could probably 'hold it' for about 20 seconds. But within a couple of days that was up to minutes and within a couple weeks it was almost normal but made sure I had protection or a bathroom near by at all times. Fast forward a couple years and no problem. However I've found that wearing for a while or a couple of days results in the dribbling the OP described.
  6. There are pictures of me wearing cloth diapers and plastic pants at 4. I have an old picture where it looks like I've just been pinned in a diaper and I'm standing beside a changing table - that I remember in the living room - and on the changing table is a package of new cloth diapers. I'm guessing the ones I have been wearing were getting small or used too many times. I remember also being put in diapers for night when I was 6 and feeling very babyish about that whole event. I wore them at night until in my 10th year and then on occasion after that until I was about 13. Cloth diapers and plastic pants the whole time.
  7. Was put back in cloth diapers and plastic pants for night wetting when I was around 6. I was put in diapers during the day a few times too (naps, long drive, etc). I wore into my 10th year and the odd occasion after that "just in case" a bathroom was not available. It was embarrassing at first but got used to the diaper routine before bed and it was much better to pee in my diapers than it was in my bed. After I outgrew the bedwetting, I felt naked with out them. Sometimes went to bed with a towel as a diaper, etc. Mainly just for the comfort back then.
  8. I'm right handed. I was in cloth and plastic pants for night until my 10th year.
  9. As a kid, I wore cloth diapers at night until I was 10. After that I missed them. When my aunt and uncle adopted kids, once in a while we'd have to babysit so there was a box of large pampers in my parent's closet. Once I took two of them, taped them together to make them big enough and wore those around in my pants. My mom came home early and I freaked out. I ripped the diaper out and put it under my bed, but I didn't realize when I did that the the 'back' diaper was still in my pants and sticking out visibly. Mom made a big stink about that and got some of my old night diapers out and made me get down on the floor for a 'diaper change'. Back into my old nappies and plastic pants. And I had to pay out of my allowance for the pampers I'd wrecked LOL
  10. Yeah, they're neat memories. Most of the time after a nap, I'd have to get down on the change pad, get the soggy nappies off, cleaned up and get back into underwear and pants. On a few occasions - and I honestly can't remember the circumstances why... - but after I was cleaned up I remember having to 'lift up' for a dry diaper. Pinned back up and plastic pants pulled on. I don't know if it was because I'd wet my diaper or what. I remember feeling a bit humiliated then. I think that was when I was older and my little cousins were in diapers all the time.
  11. Many, many times. I was back in diapers at night at 6. I'd get diapered before bed, and in the morning, the wet diapers would be taken off. Cloth diapers and plastic pants in those days. As far as 'changings' go, there were a few times that I can remember, between ages 6 and 10. I stayed at my aunt's place a lot when my bro was in the hospital and everywhere I went, a diaper bag came with me. She made us take naps (which my mom never did). Because I peed in my sleep, I had to get a diaper on for the nap. That usually started with, "Let's get your nappies on." It was weird getting diapered in the day because I'd have to strip down. Then get on my changing pad. The obligatory, "Lift up" for the diaper and plastic pants. Although I hated the naps, I always fell asleep. And always woke up with a wet diaper. I remember waking up and walking out of the bedroom and my aunt saying, "Looks like someone has a soggy bum!" Sometimes she'd just take them off in the bathroom, and sometimes I'd get asked, "Should we change that nappy?" In that case it was the normal diaper changing routine she used with her own kids. Once I was on the changing pad, I'd lift up my knees so she could pull my plastic pants off and she'd have some comment about how wet I was. I didn't really have to be given instructions because I was used to wearing diapers.
  12. I don't mind the feeling of a saggy wet cloth diaper. But it can be inconvenient. When I was diapered as a kid, I wore coveralls that helped keep my diaper up. Do the same thing today.
  13. I was never forced. Then again, it wasn't an option either. I was dry until about 6, then started wetting at night. Wore diapers at night until I was 10. I remember having a discussion that day that I was going to be put in diapers at night. My mom and dad took the time to show me the diapers and plastic pants (cloth in those days) that I was going to wear that night. After my bath, it was onto the changing pad for the first diapering in years. I do remember feeling like a baby, lifting my feet up to line up with the leg holes in the plastic pants.
  14. "Looks like someone has a soggy bum!" or "How's your bum?" I had to wear diapers at night and the odd occasion until I was 10, so these were said to me lots. So when I hear them today, brings back some memories!
  15. Lots. I use my ATV on the farm almost every day. Like someone said, if you're really soaked, then the pressure of sitting on the seat can cause a leak! Lots of horseback in diapers, too!
