  1. While every community has it's bad apples, it seems as though the nut-job ABDLs will always dominate public opinion on the topic. And why not, what would a newspaper get from running a story on the tens of thousands of well-adjusted folk who enjoy this privately, safely, legally and with consenting partners. As has already been said, if you really need this so badly, you can buy this service straight-up. Even in the US. There are providers everywhere who'll change your diaper and treat you like a baby for $200 or so an hour. Just save up a little more, and don't dupe people into satisfying your sexual desires pretending to be genuinely disabled. As someone with genuine medical incontinence (read my profile if you want to know how / why), it serves to make makes a difficult life even harder. On top of dealing with a socially awkward physical disability, you've got to worry that it is construed by the general public as something perverse, and people wondering if you're "doing it on purpose". Ironically, it seems that you can't get away from that accusation no matter how old you are, or how many MRIs you have, and how many times you beg your doctor for a clinical trial or experimental procedure to regain control.
  2. +1 to that. For some reason (that i won't bore you with the chemical explanation of) talc based baby powder will kill the odor quite quickly. For those that believe that it remains on your skin, or enters the sweat glands, there is partial evidence for this, however only if you're in it a long time. The absolute BEST solution to these problems is to use a good barrier cream like Sudocrem or Nappy Goo before you put on your diapers. These will keep the poop from ever actually touching your skin at a microscopic level (even though it still feels like it) and makes cleanup a lot easier. Therefore, once you manage to wash these greasy and polymeric lotions off your skin, your golden. Note: they are not easily soluble in water, and further polymerize with alkalines like soap so for that I use a weak acid like vinegar to remove them, then apply fragrant soap. As always, I hope I helped, and i hope you learned something.
  3. Sorry to bring up an old thread... but GLOVES man GLOVES. I thought this was common knowledge but maybe not. Buy a pack of surgical gloves from the pharmacy and whenever dealing with something messy, put them on, and dispose of them afterwards.
  4. This is certainly true if you only leave it for 24 hours or less. The ammonia which forms with even the slightest amount of oxidation results in a strong smell of "stale urine" which is quite pungent, and often more obvious than a messy diaper. I've been caught more often due to the smell of urine (if circumstances force me to wear for a long time) than the smell of poop. Bear in mind, Urine is a complex (but usually sterile, unless you have an infection) mixture of chemicals. Stale urine (once oxidized) is more complex again and among other things was used to first isolate White Phosphorous, as well as in the early development of gunpowder. So whilst quite versatile, stale urine will develop a very strong chemical odor after a few days. Believe it or not, human urine was a critical component in the development of modern chemistry over the previous practice of alchemy.
  5. Totally true, my assumption is based on some level of privacy. I've lived in share houses before, and provided you are willing to suffer some sleep deprivation and clean up while everyone else is sleeping, and as Spanky said, use an airtight bag, it's possible. I just wouldn't recommend cleaning up with wipes alone for a first timer, and even then a common mistake is to remove your diaper before getting into the shower, which can result in a small mess to clean up in the bathroom. One of the advantages in Australia is that the toilet is often co-located in the same room as the shower. Meaning that a spray of air-freshener and a towel to cover your bag when leaving the bathroom will lead most people to the inexorable conclusion that you used the toilet prior to taking a shower, accounting for any lingering odor. As I've said before, I'm fairly lucky as the overwhelming majority of my poops are solid as a rock, and honestly don't smell too much (independently verified by my partner, and a few close friends who know about my condition). This isn't a result of any dietary trick, or any supplements like Nullo, but due to the fact that I've been on opioid pain killers for years, due to chronic orthopedic pain, which do lead to fairly solid stool with less live bacteria by the time it reaches my bowels.
  6. It's not really as hard as everyone says. It's just a matter of being careful, and as with everything, practice makes perfect. I wouldn't recommend anything less than a long shower after, with a washcloth that you don't really intend on using for any other purpose again. My method is to bring a garbage bag, and some wipes, then remove the diaper in the shower and slowly lower it to the ground. Then take some wipes and clean off the bulk of what is still stuck to your bum, placing it inside the dirty diaper. Don't worry so much about getting it perfectly clean, but remove sufficient material that what is left will dissolve in the water, rather than clog the drain. Then roll up the diaper as you would a wet one, tape it up and put it in your garbage bag. Place this outside of the shower and forget about it while you take a long relaxing shower, using plenty of soap and your washcloth, paying careful attention to your diaper area. Afterwards, perform your regular shower routine. Get out and dry yourself off, and if you did it correctly, there should be no poopy residue on your towel. If there is, machine wash on cold with regular washing powder and an oxy / enzyme based stain removing additive and an anti-bacterial. If you're really concerned about germs, wash it a second time (after the stains are removed) on the "infant care" or "antibacterial" cycle. Take your plastic bag, then throw it in the trash and it's all over and you're ready for a fresh, clean diaper.
  7. I generally find that a liberal application of a good quality rash cream (i.e. Sudocrem, or Nappy Goo), as well as a talc based powder can stop you from getting rash, even if you've gotta stay messy for a long time. I'm fairly lucky in that I have mostly solid stool, but it isn't bacteria that causes rash (unless you stay messy for more than 24 hours), but rather acidity, and the amount of contact it has with your skin. The same can be said for rash from being in an overly wet diaper for a long time, that's why most diapers try and keep you dry, so there is less acidic liquid in contact with your skin. Talc powder works best to neutralize acid form both pee and poop as it is a chemically alkaline substance unlike the corn-starch based stuff. Sometimes I'll mix Bi-Carb soda with talc based baby powder (not recommended for everyone, so test it with a small amount first - as it can cause rash on it's own if your skin doesn't like it), as it is even stronger in terms of neutralizing acid from urine of feces.
  8. Hi Guys, While I've got quite stash of my own, these are my favorite diapers for nighttime, and It's now been 3 months since they've been in stock in Australia, and the situation seems to be the same the wold over. Are they ever going to restock these excellent diapers? Or is it a temporary supply issue. Anyone with any inside information would be great if you could post.
  9. This statement couldn't be more true. It can be hard to get used to in all situations, but once you aren't in control any more, you have to be ready for it to happen anywhere... So yeah, make sure you've got your supplies with you, and even a change of pants, just in case your diaper leaks. Overall though, make sure you keep focusing on enjoying the sensation and freedom, otherwise it can sometimes get you down.
  10. Was kinda potty trained by 4, but at age 6 i was knocked down a concrete staircase and suffered a spinal injury which is with me to this day. After that I started wetting and pooping my pants uncontrollably at first, but they expected it to improve.... It didn't,. So for a few months I was just at home recovering, but still wetting and soiling myself every day and in nappies at night. After a while my parents just put me back in diapers and said "just forget about going to the bathroom, at least you won't be fighting a battle you can't win". And I've been in diapers ever since. Admittedly, it's not all by accident, sometimes it's convenience, and sometimes it's just cause "I'm in a diaper, taking it off to poop will be a pain, may as well poop my diapers, plus that way i don't have to get up and can just stay in bed, or on the couch"
  11. I've been pooping my diapers or pants since i was 6 (had a bad fall down some stairs which damaged my spine). At first it was a bit tough, and i felt like a baby, but my parents were really good about it, and i got used to pretty much any situation you can name where I've wet or soiled my diapers or pants. These days, it's just a part of life, I enjoy the feeling when i do actually get to push one out on purpose, but other times it happens of its own accord, and you develop strategies to deal with it. The way i see it, if you feel more comfortable using diapers or your pants for your toileting, then just do it. Otherwise, use the potty at your leisure. In this day and age it really should be up to the individual's choice.
  12. Over the many years I've been in messy diapers, I've found the "lingering smell" after a thorough washing to be somewhat psychosomatic. Even if I think I can still smell it, I will ask my girlfriend, who every time has said that there is no trace (and she's not just being polite), and has a better sense of smell than I do. One thing I can attest to is that putting on a fresh well-powdered diaper afterwards is a good remedy, even for the parts that are just in your head. Also, ensuring that any messy diapers are disposed of in a sealed bag (and immediately thrown in the outside trash bin) makes an actual difference to smells which may linger in your home.
  13. Hey fellow Melburnians, I'm a 33 y/o AB/DL living in Melbourne's inner north. My partner is a switch Mommy / Little Girl from the US, and since moving back to Melbourne from the US, we're really keen to meet other littles, mommies and daddies who are close by, and possibly organize a regular meet up. Before moving to the US a few years ago, I recall a fairly vibrant "scene" here in Melbourne, and would love to hook up with others who share our interests.
  14. Hey there, I'm a little boy from Melbourne's Inner North hoping to make some new little friends, and perhaps organize a group or regular meet-up. I live with my girlfriend, who is a switch little girl / mommy, and after living in the US for a few years, we can't seem to find any littles groups back here in Melbourne, so if anyone wants to get in touch for some little fun, we're definitely down.
