  1. For one, it's smelly. Believe me, as someone who's dealt with constipation essentially my whole life, I know there's nothing quite as satisfying as pushing a big one out. That being said, the smell is undoubtedly a bit too much, and I have to change out practically as soon as I'm finished. It also lingers in the air even after you've changed, which can be inconvenient if you don't live alone.
  2. I'm recently coming to terms with the fact that I have a disability, and I consider incontinence to be the least "disabling" part of the whole condition. In fact, urge incontinence, enuresis, and constipation were the only symptoms I experienced until a few
  3. My boyfriend and I started dating back when I only wet a couple nights per month. For the first few months, I was able to make some bullshit excuses, like "Oh I can only get a good night's sleep if I'm alone in bed", but eventually I gave it up and started playing the risky game of waiting for him to fall asleep so I could go to the restroom one last time, then praying it'd be a dry night. The first time I did wet in bed with him, we had both drank a ton the night before, so he assumed it was a fluke and laughed it off once I cleaned everything up. When it became apparent that it wasn't a one-time thing, I leveled with him and opened up about my medical history. He was super comforting about the whole thing, and even put a cover on his mattress whenever I'd spend the night. I offered to wear protection, and his opinion was basically that if it keeps us both dry and doesn't interfere with cuddling, it's a valid choice. I'll admit, he did laugh a bit when he first saw that an Abena M4 was what I meant by "protection", but he knew I felt vulnerable about the whole thing, and promised me that it wasn't an issue at all. Now, fast-forward to where I'm wet practically every night and my daytime issues are in full force, and he's not fazed by it in the least. He does gripe
  4. It used to be absolute hatred. Bedwetting's been nearly a constant through my life so far, though it's varied from once in three months
  5. Typically I'll take off the one I'm wearing and wipe clean standing up, lay a towel on my bed, and use lotion or rash cream (using rubber gloves if what I'm putting on is plastic-backed.) Then unfold the new padding, put a booster in if needed, and lay it on the towel. Toss the gloves, lay back and shift around until the tapes are at just the right spots on my waist. Then, powder up, put on the tapes bottom-to-top, make sure the legs aren't bunched up, stand up and "poof" the front and back to make sure the powder is spread evenly. When I'm on my A-game, I can do it all in about 3 minutes!
