well 6 months into a cathater no infections i can leave it in for a month. the key is cleaning the bag you attach to it or using the part of a bag that has the valve to drain into the diaper. if i take the cathater out i cant walk a foot without peeing. same in my sleep all be it i do think without the cath there is more in my bladder. with the cath in and no diaper just my panties and satin pjs the bed is so totaly soaked in the am and i can feel it leaking all night. of coarse that means cleaning everything in the morning. which canbe a pain. i may get some sort of rubber sheets or something. when i sleep without the the cath i pee freequently at night. if then i get up and put a cathater in then it puts a lot into the bag right away so i know im not empting the bladder completely without the cath. i use a silastic cathater they are harder to squeeze shut and smoother to use. i can no longer hold my bladder so have to wear a diaper when the cath is out. so if i go to the dr or what i have to wear the diaper.

earlier in the topic was about incontinent desires. i use a foley silastic cathater with a bag in my panties. you can feel it drain all the time. its 900 ml. no real chance of infection if done right. the cathater needs to be changed to a new one every 2 weeks to a month. after about 6 months now im incontinent for the most part. if i wear a diaper and no cath i cant go but a few minutes without wetting it. if i wear one at night i will wet it every few minutes. infection comes when you reuse the bag without cleaning it and the connection to the cath. bleech and antibiotic soap and then alchol on everything. especialy the part that connects to the cath. if you leave the the cath in the diaper then cut the valve out of one of the bags. you feel it running in your diaper. QUESTION bet wetting and diaper wear. HOW DO YOU KEEP FROM WETTING THE BED. that being all over the place and having to do a laundry every morning. no plastic pants i found keep it in.

its about letting go. no control and the freedom of feeling that loss of control and in general the overall feeling that you have control even if it takes letting go to do it.

I would have to say yes. after using a foley cath for I guess 3 months I find even if I cross my legs I get pressure and have to uncross them. I have a bilateral orchandectomy and do diapers a lot but the cath with a bag in my panties is use more now. I use a garter belt to secure it front and back and tube comes up and it sits in the croch. I don't have much left there since surgery. it feels very warm as it trickles in so you can tell. I do use the northern heavy diapers with or without the catheter. I can put it in or remove it at will. I use the silastic ones heavier cant crush don't kink. last night for example I had new panties so took out the cath and put on a diaper. I could walk and wet lay and wet and some was urge. did not have to think about it but probably a lot was urge even when I slept I woke up with a wet soaked through diaper. those are some heavy diapers so I had to change right when I got up because a little wet spot had started on my night gown. I vaguely remember rolling or moving over to let it out so id say im diaper dependent now.

update for those in this thread i guess. im using a 16fr going to an 18 silastic foley. they are heavier cant squeeze it closed even if you wanted to. go in nice and comfortable. i take them in and out at will, soak in antibiotic soap water then rinse with alchol and water and insert new one. i use a 1000 ml bag in the panties crotch section betwen the legs so you can feel the warmth filling it as it goes by. i do recomend if you do that or even a diaper a good fitting pants to hold it up. panties online custom made of nice satin charmeasue have a wide crotch for this where as others or pain underwear would fall down your leg. all be it that can cause some pain the heavier silastic cathaters dont break which is good. they also dont deform or pretty much wear. been using them for 2 months 3 months in. i cant cross my legs with my feet on the desk now because the bladder has shrunk to maybe almost nothing. have little to no retention ability in that short of time. i got new panties in and thought id try a northern heavy diaper overnight. late evening i put it on and needed to go a good bit periodicaly as i moved before bed. more a natural need but only a little comes out. woke up with a soaked diaper and i vaguely remember either waking or moving to let it out. but id guess thats close to incontenance. i feel preasure if i cant relieve it almost constantly as well as when i stand or even sit. its an interesting feeling to just let go i guess. i do have a bilateral orchandectomy so its small mtf and am trying to find shorter female foleys to use. i had also thought of going up in size but not sure. thought being stretches out the muscels even more. will see i run 2 alternating soaking in water. i empty the bag rinse with same bacteria soap and water and dry as i do the catheters.

blew up the first cath like someone else said it came out finaly. i switched to an 18fr silastic much heavier as well bigger. i dont tend to pinch it off as easily and its much firmer for long term wear. the silicone only ones i worried they were so light they would break. im thinking of moving up to a 20fr after i wear these a month or so. im thinking it stretches things to a degee. almost a month constant now. i have taken it out cleaned roated it in. mostly in my diaper but i have a leg bag i can put in my panties at night. the northshore diapers are great i can go 12 hours day or night with it in. still leaks sometimes on my side or on my back. usine the bag at night i wake up with a full 1000ml bag. i have found in that short of time my body wants it in as well as cant hold it long. i dont know what will happen after months or year of it and if using larger ones over time will make it more leaky.

i use a latex diaper cover. its more or less sticks to the skin. get them on ebay. not flawless they do leak so looking for something better. but i also have little down there since surgery. i wear a cath most of the time now. so its always dribblingin my diaper. when standing it does run down and fills up the back same with sitting or laying to a degree.

im a cd tg i guess. i wear bra panties all the time slip and other when i can. when i wear a diaper i still have to wear matching panties over it.

i tried the holes in the cathater thing which sounds good. but i did blow one up to much and it poped inside. most came out but not all not right away. it all did come out. the holes fine but i just use a cath all the time now with atn and a booster pad. can go about 3 diapers a day. i just use a foley and i can put it in take it out at will now no issue. over filling or bigger are not where you want to go. i do wish they made shorter foleys so if someone knows on that like to know. i have had an orchendectomy so i have some down there not a lot. but i just let the top of the folly in front and i can feel it trickle down all the time. when you lay down thats sometimes a problem because it wants to come out the top of the diaper. another problem is going to the bathroom with a foley in. right now i wrap it in sterile pad so not to touch the toilet or take it out. i keep them soaking in antibacterial after washing and reuse a few times. clean with alchol betadyne before use. i left one out the other night i had to get up and pee no less than 5 times then again in the am. my body is so use to it now. still searching for the best leak proof diaper covers as well.

been using a cathater off on for months. drains into my diaper. you can feel it tickle down and arround pretty cool. i take it out soak in water with anti biotic soap. pull it out rinse then use alchol to flush and reuse for a couple weeks. goes in easy. need to get a plug for the end so when you change it does not go all over. i end up with 2 diapers a day full with booster pads. my body seems to prefer it now after a period of time. im useing atn with a simple large quantity booster pad. change twice a day change each time. if i have to go poo i usualy change then and remove to put a clean one in. betadine wash of it as well. wet the be a few times even with protective cover. so usiing booster pads more the back to ubsorb what runs arround. thinking of differ diapers with more side protection.
