  1. I'll donate more once my second paycheck comes in, first half of the month is always the hardest for us.
  2. I think if I had to pick one superpower it'd have to be the power to transform. This would essentially give me any ability that any living creature had. If I wanted to fly, I just transform into a creature that could fly. If I wanted to be invisible, I'd just pick a creature that's so small that no one would be able to notice it. Etc...
  3. Nope. My health issues allow me to live a care free life. My wife's job is one where she works by taking care of me through a state program + we get disability money. It's so much better to deal with the inconveniences of my health condition than to deal with the stress and struggles of a normal life.

Tags are used differently on this site, filtering by tags will most certainly filter out a large amount of content you want. I personally use the search feature and search for content of the post, this is more reliable than doing a search based on tags.
  5. I don't think this story will be continued any time soon. I haven't had the urge to write in a long time, literally the last update to this story was pretty much the last time I did any real writing. I could see a future where I reboot this story and change things around a bit, as I'm not very happy with it as it stands. But If it does come back it would not be in the form of a continuation and instead be in the form of a reboot of the entire thing.
  6. Sorry, I do remember reaching out to you, I just didn't recognize the name. I think you might misunderstand the point of the post, listing authors and their terms. It's not to skip through the communication process, it's more so it get a very basic understanding of the author and advertise that they are, in fact, available and taking commissions. It was a response to the very messy "is anyone taking commissions?" posts that I would see pop up here and there. I figured it'd be easier if authors had one place where their basic rates as well as terms and conditions were up for everyone to see, if they were looking for someone to commission. However, if you have ten separate commissions going right now, it would seem you might be more burdened than anything by having your information on the Writers & Their terms thread.
  7. I do not generally reach out to authors to find out if they take commissions (I did for the initial post, so I had some authors to start with), but usually, I let the authors come to me. The page is pinned to the top of the Story & Art Forum, so I assume if people are interested, they'll reach out.
  8. As Brian mentioned, try to keep an updated list of writers who are currently taking commissions and their terms over at: However, I understand what you're complaining about. I commissioned someone a while ago through Email, spent over $200 on commissions with them, had the first commission go on without a hitch, then on the second commission I was ghosted after a chunk of it was written. After a year, I emailed the person back asking for a refund and still have not received anything. I'd never do a chargeback or anything like that, and the circumstances for this specific individual are a bit special. However, I totally get where you're coming from, it really sucks to have a commission paid for and for it to not be completed all the way through, especially without a refund or at minimum a heads-up. I have had nothing but positive experiences commissioning @Elfy, so I can vouch for him as far as quality and reliability are concerned.
  9. Happy Thanksgiving all! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
  10. The bike feels like a better choice in my opinion.
  11. Got it. :3 Thank you.
  12. Might I request that you make the background transparent? It looks very bad when viewed on a dark theme.
  13. Doing the lord's work.
  14. I once accidently completely formatted my 2TB Harddrive with absolutely everything important on it. I had no backups, nothing. Thank god HDDs don't actually delete their data right away, they simply mark the zones as "free space" to be written over later. I was able to recover almost everything, with only 1 non-important folder having corrupted data. This reminds me I need to do a backup project I've been putting off. My goal is to have 1 off-site backup, 1 backup at home and 1 (possibly 2) encrypted backups on servers that I control.
  15. Got a new AI-generated Icon.

I would agree: nice avatar change! Every once in a while I like to change mine also, and the last time I changed it was prior to our old posture being reassigned to a new church. He took that picture, of me surveying the outside during an outside sail, after I came upstairs to check on what was going on, after being in the thrift store.

It's always good to change stuff up after a while. I've even changed my cover photo: as you see, both of you can see how happy I am, however you may not be able to see my eyes, because they seem to be closed regardless of how hard I try to keep them open, because I'm trying to make it look like I'm not a dork: during this photograph the new pastor had simply asked me for a picture because he wanted to place it on the website: little did I know that he next turned around and asked me to become the associate Webmaster for the church's website! When he told me that, it made me feel so good that I was showing both thumbs up I was giving it all I had, and I felt like somebody had just said I had won $1,000,000: it's almost like when you get exactly what you want, or when you eat something that is so awesome, that you cannot get enough of it and you just let it envelope your entire body

another way to put that is if you are in a situation where you really like the situation that you're in, and somebody really really wants to take real good care of you, and tells you to let her handle you or handle it, then she ends up giving you the most exciting interaction, where she takes care of your every need, very gently very lovingly very calculated, hitting every single one of your sensors, making it feel real good, placing you in a position where you feel like you're on cloud 9 and nothing could hurt you, similar to how it feels when they pump you full of pain medication and you feel like your body just wants to go ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Well, in that picture I felt like I was on cloud 9: I felt I deserved it because over the last six to nine months, it just seems like everything at work had been taken away from me slowly, and I misunderstood the church's intention: I knew that they liked what I did, and I knew that I do a good job, and I knew that they would take care of me, some way, but when you are in charge and have been since 2017, and they come in like a steamroller, and tell you that you can't open yet, and they're trying to figure out what they wanna do, that made me nervous: thanks to this new pastor, and his new approach, it makes me feel like we are both on the same page, and that the site that we are building over there, is the same type of site I would build with my own two hands on my own website domain, and I'm so glad that I stuck it out: because now I got what I want, and me being happy in that picture above, says about all I have to say without even opening my mouth other than to smile!

I hope you are doing well my friend: I know that sometimes it can be hard, but sometimes as they say good things come to those who wait, and I wish you all the best! May you always be in the best possible health you can be, and hopefully you will be able to be happy whatever you're doing, wherever you are: it is always the best policy to try to be the best you can be, and now that I have been given the responsibility I have, I feel like I have earned the respect the admiration and I have earned the right to proudly state I made it! Throughout all of the tough times and all of the things that I have gone through, I know that life is hard, but I don't try to look at the positive as a negative, but I also try not to always think everything is negative: there are always a positive in every negative, you just have to find it. I think I just did!

      Take care my friend!

  16. They have some temporary partnership going with some flea market, that's where the real adult happy meals are coming from right now. From my understanding atleast.
  17. I've only ever had internet bullies. This has caused me to grow the habit of having different usernames for everything, so if I get a bully, they can't follow me across the web. I do it for privacy reasons now too, but that's how it started.
  18. That was my favorite Bob's Burgers Episode in a while. I wasn't a huge fan of the last couple of seasons, short of a few episodes here and there. That last one (Episode 2 of Season 13) felt like it was a good earlier season episode. In my humble opinion.
  19. I shop in the alley behind the Walmart.
  20. I use a service which allows me to create disposable per-service cards. I set the cards to have a $1 limit, which makes them just deny any transaction over $1. I don't have any service that knows my actual card number. If a card was to get stolen, I just disable it and make a new one. No actual personal information is lost.
  21. The PC I had before this one lasted from like 2008 - 2020 and would still be kicking to this day, if we hadn't made a mistake when trying to move it to a new case. I wouldn't worry too much about it, especially if you take good care of your computer (dust it a few times a year, try not to let it overheat, etc...) I think what RustyPins suggested is probably the best course of action, invest in an external hard drive or SSD that you can use for semiregular backups. This way, if something does go wrong, the most important thing is safe, your data.
  22. When I was younger, I used to go to church, my mom and dad went to different churches, I usually went with my dad, but sometimes went with my mom. There were some cute girls around my age at my mom's church, who I had a crush on. They never really gave me the time of day. Occasionally, one of the church members would bring in their baby or just have a baby and bring it in. For the entire day, these girls I had a crush on would spend all day doting on this baby. Whenever this happened, I'd get EXTREMELY jealous of that child, I genuinely didn't understand what was so special about that baby. I didn't get it, I was more interesting than it was. Why couldn't these girls pay attention to me instead? Why wasn't I the one they were doting on? Being married now, I barely have this experience anymore, except on occasion, where I will see a mother being exceptionally kind/compassionate towards a child of theirs, but it's not nearly as frequent as it used to be. That might just be because I don't see many situations resembling the sort that I get jealous over. But yeah, you're not the only one.
  23. That moment when you ask for the butter, but they think you need to go to the BUTT E.R.
  24. Gotta love that "tolerance and inclusion, until it's something we don't personally agree with/want to include" mentality.
