  1. It's one of the reasons I really like reading your stories... its like good wine, it takes time to develop, but the payoff is so worth it.
  2. You could always work from home... then it's like you never leave....
  3. Awww... I was really hoping to see another chapter this week... oh well, just raises the anticipation for the next one <Grin>
  4. Lol it took me a moment to realize that you had an alternate ending. ? All in all, I prefer the first where she regains her height though I think making her 7ft was unnecessary. Especially given how good she was with both math and the inherent knowledge of the nanites... remember you can't make matter out of nothing. Other than that I loved your wrapping up of the story and really... truely... wish you would write more in the genre. Thanks again!
  5. Yay! Love seeing new stories from the two of you. Really looking forward to the ride to come.
  6. I really like the foundation you're laying... taking a different direction too I think which I really appreciate. So, if I'm guessing, I'd say that the school is solidifying behind him and that sometime in the future someone in authority is going to come in and shake things up? Maybe a new principle... or a wealthy mother who thinks that her influence is more important than the rules... or could go a completely different direction... a little liberation front could have infiltrated the classes and is trying to take revenge on Clark for being a helper and the teachers work together to save him from their advances... Whatever the case, I look forward in eager anticipation to the next installment.
  7. Personally, I love the struggle and successes of Clark. I love how he is the able to survive in an insane world; how he can do the impossible. And I think that's what makes him so interesting to read about... He is a little version of Gattaca, in that one slip up and life as he knows it is over... the diaper dimension world is one of my favorite to read about and I think you have one of my favorite storyline foundations
  8. I love hearing about the "why" of things, especially in this world. It always leads to a "why not" or to a "because"... but it also leads the mind to how to change. I LOVE IT when the paradigm shifts and it is well thought out
  9. This could also go very badly... I'm thinking of the religious camps that may or may not still be running that would pray away the gay type thing... Being taught to conform is one thing, accepting conformation is another, and being forced, well... would you ever force a Hindu to eat beef? Please don't get me wrong, I am enjoying the story, especially as I get to voice my opinions as to why a fantasy can have dark roots into our psyche. But more importantly, how we can overcome those as well.
  10. It's sad, but higher education is no longer about the impartarion of knowledge but the learning of how to function in a high stress, impersonal environment. Most, but not all, skills for a job can be, and are, taught on location as every business does things slightly differently. It's just another sign that the old ways are no longer valid and that ways of thinking need to be updated.
  11. You know... it just occurred to me that Holly is probably going to get to use her skills at the daycare... nothing drastic, maybe like the heimlich maneuver or something... but something pivotal enough that it makes Ivy question things. After all... no one else will
  12. Nothing wrong with small doses... just means we get to talk about things as they come up instead of all at once... I like it this way as it makes me pace myself
  13. Out of curiosity, have you used the dictation feature on Word yet? (Assuming of course) I've used it a few times when I'm writing introductory emails but never to the scale you work at
  14. It was wonderful to get that foundation. Thank you again!
  15. I would think so as they send them back after 10 years... right?
  16. Oh I'm liking where this is going... to have academia studied from the perspective of the studied... could bring on an entire new perspective. Maybe a new graduate field... after all, it should drive academics nuts not knowing something about themselves like the why of their attitudes towards littles... especially on the other islands
  17. Not that I'm biased... but... that would be AWESOME!
  18. I love sci fi. The world of infinite possibility... it's a shame that more don't write in the genre. And thank you again for a great story.
  19. Longing may be the word, but it can’t be, not if you have the thing you long for and yet long for it still. There was no word that she knew for that feeling. Bonded is one of my favorites. It has so many meanings and can sum the way someone feels about another so completely.
  20. Somehow... I get the sense I've walked that road recently.... ?
  21. Isn't the cannon that breastmilk has properties that cause littles to lose control? I mean if it's like some of the drugs we have it's going to be in his system for a while... and given the fact that he splits his time, I dont think he's going to get much of a reprieve
