  1. The weather is getting cooler here in the deep South so I figured it was time to break out my stash of plastic backed ATN's (size large).
  2. First I'd recommend trying an Assurance (Walmart brand) "Guard" pad in your regular brief style underwear.
  3. I use male guards all of the time in my McKesson Ultra diapers.
  4. I was in Atlanta a few months ago and dropped by Diaper Depot.
  5. Due to my BPH I often have severe leakage and also some urge incontinence.
  6. Yeah, quality and value-priced really don't go together very well when it comes to diapers so your original post was a bit confusing.
  7. I can second what everyone above has said but would like to add that you can always add a Male Guard (i.e. pad) to an inexpensive diaper to really up the capacity if you feel you might need more capacity for a given situation.
  8. I'm IC so not if I want to keep my pants and bed dry!
  9. When I add a booster pad (usually only to a lower quality diaper) I like to use either an Assurance (Walmart) or Depends Guard pad.
  10. Sorry I didn't respond to your post earlier but I have to say the you've described my (earlier) situation exactly.

    ABU

I heard that the ABU Space hold a huge amount but that they can have some press-out problems.
  12. Hey PlstkBakdnghtnday: She would probably love the Always Discreet pull-ups, you might want to suggest those to her.
  13. I dropped by the Diaper Depot store in Stone Mountain, GA Saturday and OMG what a great experience!!!! I spoke with Helen for over a hour about the various premium diapers they are stocking and what I was looking for. She was super easy to talk to and TOTALLY non-judgmental. She asked me a lot of questions about my incontinence and wanted to know my experiences with the diapers I've used. You'd think that it might be embarrassing but she just put me totally at ease right from the beginning. Even though I told her I wasn't AB she just couldn't help herself and pulled out a sample of all of the AB and premium diapers they had. She then laid them all out on the counter so we could compare and discuss them. It was actually fun, yeah I just said it, diaper shopping in person was FUN!! I ended up buying a bag of Tranquility Top Liner pads, a sample pack of two Abena L4 Air Supremes (i.e. cloth sides) and she even talked me into a two-pack of ABU Space diapers. I know, I know those are AB diapers but she is quite the saleslady and told me I just had to try them since they were so absorbent and that the space themed print wasn't really all that babyish. I'm still not sure how I'll explain the printed Space diapers if my wife sees me in them. However they are super thick so I guess I can always go on the premise that they are one of if not the most absorbent on the market.Anyway, if you are ever in the Atlanta area you have just got to drop by Diaper Depot and talk to Helen for yourself, you won't regret it. I know I'll be stopping by whenever I'm there.

  16. I found that they have fairly good capacity but not in the league with an Abena level 4.
  17. I've been wearing Gary ActiveWear PUL pants, size XL (40 waist) over my disposable diapers for a year or so and have had good luck with them.
  18. You might want to check out a local
  19. Yes, if you are concerned about being embarrassed then a medical supply store is for you.
  20. Brilliant advice dlnoir!!
  21. Since it doesn't sound like you are a bed wetter just get some inexpensive cloth backed diapers and give them a try.
