  1. I can't put my finger on anything particular that you said, but there is just something from your tone that makes me feel like you have already decided to tell her. If so, then no amount of caution from us is likely to dissuade you. So go for it already, if that's what you decided to do. I agree with the others - I think there is a high risk of unforeseen pitfalls, and that moving forward may be something you should reconsider. But if you've decided to do it, then go do what you want to do. There will be plenty of people to talk to here if something bad does happen.
  2. I think you've already gone above and beyond the level of support that most of us have found. Good on you for being so open to new experiences - I think there are a great number of partners who could enjoy our experiences as much as we do, if they were as open to them as you are.
  3. In my experience, Dry 24/7 is the most absorbent, and the Bambino brands are not far behind.
  4. I found these to be definitely above average in terms of absorbency, but significantly short of the performance of premium diapers - much the same as others have said in this topic. However, I actually liked the unusual fit that others have mentioned. The manufacturer's site advertises the large size (which I bought) as fitting waist sizes 36" to 46" and IMO the actual fit is truer to those measurements than other diapers are to their advertised fitting sizes. So kudos for accurate product description, I guess (at least as to size - I agree with others that it does not have the advertised capacity).
  5. I suggest that, despite her early enthusiasm, you take it slow in sharing your experiences with her. Sounds like she will be great, but you should avoid scaring her by overloading her.
  6. Large slits work fine for me, as long as I am very careful handling/putting on after I make the cuts. Go slow and keep the movements small! Sure that may seem like to much effort, but there's never any draining problem with large slits!
  7. In my office, where there is a locked file cabinet to which only I have the key. My co-workers believe that confidential files are in there.
  8. Nice sample/variety pack available from HDIS.
  9. Excellent work, Banter. If anyone would like any performance information in addition to Banter's excellent measurements, don't forget to check out XP Medical's Diaper Review and Testing page (although XP Medical does not test all the same brands that Banter did).
  10. I agree with everyone else. I have experience with the old packaging and the new. It's the same product - just a different bag.
  11. Just received some ATN samples that I ordered through cwimedical.com. They are plastic-backed. I don't know how their prices compare by the case (since I just got samples), but their customer service was good.
  12. A few indications on my usual stores' shelves (i.e., the shelves' emptiness), leads me to ask whether anyone has heard if Depends is discontinuing its max protect line in favor of its newer almost-max-protect "underwear" lines.
  13. Tried these for the first time recently - found them to run a little big in the sizing. The tapes were alright - not fantastic. Overall, I thought this was a good premium-brand diaper. I would try it again.
  14. Interested in female DL available on short notice in Cincinnati area for casual encounter. If you have any contacts, please let them know to post to this link, or please let me know and I will add travel info to this link. Thanks.
  15. Am in Cincinnati occasionally, on short notice. Looking for a female DL who is interested in just hanging out for an evening. If interested, please post as such, and I will update with travel info.
  16. My travel schedule is rarely regular. But most often it consists of a trip, on short notice, from Oklahoma City, through Cincinnati, to points east. Given my employer's schedule, that schedule most often includes an overnight layover in Cincinnati. Don't ask me why that makes sense - it just does. More importantly, I am looking for a strictly DL female companion in Cincinnati. Available on short notice in the Cincinnati area (CVG area would be great, but not necessary), for an evening of leisurely hanging out in diapers with adult beverages. Let me know of any interest, and I will post future availability.
  17. If you search my username, you will see that I have made several posts describing my experiences with premium versus doubled store-brand diapers (that is, one store-brand diaper with slits down the middle, backed by another store-brand diaper). I have made the argument that doubled store-brand diapers make better sense (in terms of performance) than premium diapers. I have posted on a number of premium diaper topics, and to be clear, the primary diaper that I was comparing to was the Depend Protection with Tabs (previously known by other names - and I agree with other writers that Depends should stop changing their product names - but regardless, Depends' max protect label). I continue to believe that doubled Depends max protect provides better value for the money (although I agree it is not exactly comparing apples to apples) than any premium brand that I have tried (although, as I have admitted in previous posts, I cannot buy premium brands in bulk due to my life situation, and so bulk buyers may be able to realize a cost advantage).
  18. I have been gradually been working my way through various premium brands (Molicare, Abena, Bambino, Dry 24/7), while filling in supplies with store brands (I am a DL who only gets to use while on the road.). The point that I keep coming back to is that doubled store brands (that is, one store brand diaper with slits cut down the middle, backed by a second store brand - as described by multiple previous writers) seem to provide a better value (per diaper) than premium brands. Yes, I fully admit and embrace the superior quality and performance of the premium brands. However - and especially when I normally have to buy "sample packs" from suppliers given my closeted home life, leaving discrete packages for traveling - when I compare the price of any one premium diaper (again, buying in small quantities) to two store brand diapers, I keep finding that the doubled store brands are cheaper. And given the price difference, I am willing to tolerate any performance difference that I have found between a premium brand and a doubled store brand. I am most interested in store brands that under-performed as doubled. Also, I am interested in your experiences with premium brands that did not measure up to doubled store brands. I am NOT interested in reiterations of the above-described experience of premium vs. store brands. Thanks. Oklahoma-Traveling-to-Cincinnati-Looking-for-Company
