  1. Changing brands might help, though I think Baby Brian tried that also, and still had discomfort so might not help so much.
  2. Cheers, Being down this end of the world, they just take a while to catch up. Getting rid of the elastic is probably the best thing they've done. The breathable sides are a little interesting as well when I wear at night. I actually get sweatier, as I use plastic pants over top. But I guess they weren't designed for this. Cheers for the feedback, I wont give up on these yet.
  3. Just got a couple of bags of the Super air actives. The tapes are awful. I'm going to need a roll of duct tape to keep them on. The elasticy bit in the tapes just keeps breaking. I broke two just putting one on yesterday. Really disappointed, not how I remember Molicares at all.
  4. Hi Brian, I had thought that the issues with the Botox might have been with the application, as your results differed so much from what was promised. I can understand you not wanting a repeat of this. They're so different to what you anticipated that it sounds like your urologist deliberately misled you. I had issues with the Coloplast catheters as well. It got to the point I'd have to wait ages for the bladder neck to go out of spasm, so i could get it in the last inch. I prefer Lofric if you can get them, but everyones different. I'd agree that if your going to keep them in, you should get a foley. It'll be a lot easier, and you've got to avoid that straining. Im really not a fan of intermittent catheters. Things were much easier when I had a foley while in hospital and could drink what I liked, instead of planning out how much I could drink. I hope things pick up soon.
  5. Dear babyLee75, my comments were directed at Iweardepends, as they were the OP. I guess I could have been clearer. Sorry. I've got no issue with wearing diapers. I do frequently. It is much easier cleaning those up then wet pants. Iweardepends seems to have an issue, and surely trying switching beverages is a plan with less risks then taking medication, for something that could be an easy fix, or at least worth a try. Sorry if my first post seemed a little preachy, that wasn't the intent. Im busy writing stuff for Uni, and it seems everything I write at the moment ends up with a certain voice, soz. You obviously took what I said the wrong way, and thats my fault. Im glad your lending support to Iweardepends. Thats the best part about this community, and the internet. Knowing that we're not alone, there is someone else going through the same experiences. Your right, wearing diapers isn't the end of the world, and its a much safer solution then taking a med that can mess with other things when there is a much easier way. All the best, Puggsley
  6. I've bought from their site, as I couldn't get shipping to NZ from their ebay easily. I still used paypal, and I got airmail for free. Id recommend them, I've been happy with everything I've received.
  7. Hi Brian, Are you going to try the Botox a second time to see if they can give you the results they promised the first time? What type of cath are you using? I'll second what Thomas said, different caths can make big changes. I had big problems with one brand, but the type Im using now is excellent. Just goes in every time without any issues.
  8. Id try changing to a non caffeinated pop, and see if that helps. I've had to give up my morning coffee, something thats been very hard for me, otherwise Im rushing to the toilet very frequently and often wetting as well. I was fine with coffee until something else medically cropped up, and now Im in this situation. I know its hard, but giving up the diet pepsi might be the easiest solution... Its worth a shot.
  9. Vodafone here in NZ have finally realized that help desks in India don't help with their brand satisfaction, and have relocated their call centers back to where people are calling from. Best move they ever made. Pity for them that I'd already changed to another provider because of the rude response I got from their call center in India before they moved it... It just makes good sense to have your calls answered locally. Its the most contact some people will have with your brand. Best luck with your third printer DailyDi!
  10. Hi Brian Sorry to hear that this didn't work out as expected, but Im glad to hear that the painful urges have dissipated. It does sound like you've found another person trying to "cure" your incontinence. I'd have a good talk to your urologist, and see if they can meet your expectations next time. I know you'd done your homework, but what you got wasn't what you were promised. Best of luck!
  11. Hi Foundout. I've changed brands of catheters once. I was using a speedicath brand while in the hospital, but after a couple of weeks of no issues, I had problems getting them in, and a massive blood clot up there. The lofric catheters Im using now just slide right in. I did have a couple of weeks where I had of a little blood down there, but thats passed now. I dont have to reuse the catheters, though I've heard of some people who do. It just seems like too much of a gamble for it to be worthwhile. My insurer even pays for baby wipes to clean your hands and penis as part of the self catheterising process. Im hoping that things will start to head back to normal soon. Im managing to pass around 150mls now, but only when I get the urge to tell me that Im full, out of a total bladder volume of 450-500ml. Im still retaining a fair bit, but its been the positive side of the UTI's. I started being able to pass more around the time I first got a UTI. Not that its a good reason to get one of course, but heck. Everything has a silver lining. Puggsley
