Plain and simple: CAPITALISM. And you will never get the government to control prices--not since Jimmy Carter had a wage-and-price freeze during his administration If the prices are caused due to a shortage, then blame the people driving gas-guzzling SUV's and large pickup trucks when they don't really need to. A car that gets 35 miles to a gallon will get you there just as well as a gas hog that gets seven miles to a gallon.
I believe it was Nixon that first set wage and price controls. My father was the first to bring it to my attention. They found a simple solution. They started calling items by other names like hambuger meat vs. ground beef. When they called it something else, they could increase the price. I was in middle school at the time.
To take the pinch out of fuel cost, I bought a Prius. It is a small car but on long trips I prefer my SUV. On a good day, the SUV gets 25 MPG. The Prius worst case is 50. I don't like the government dictation what kind of car to buy but the Prius didn't cost more than an average car so I bought it. I've had the Prius for a few years and was pleasantly surprised by the low maintenance cost. On a negative note, the high voltage battery is $3000. The HV battery has a 100,000 mile warranty.

Cloth diaper, plastic pants and a tee shirt.

I have a slop sing in my utility room. The faucet is equipped with a sprayer. I can spray the nasty stuff away. Wash the diapers in HOT water. Never use fabric softener or bleach.

I thought people were exaggerating! I have less than one roll and every store is sold out!
My wife scored a few days ago at Walmart. She came home with 2 packs of Charmin.

I have a rash on my groin (thought I'd get that out of the way first). It's been going for several months now and I'm starting to feel a bit frantic. The obvious advice would be 'see a doctor' but here's the problem; I've seen 3. I have another appointment booked for next week and I feel at this point things need to be escalated. So any advice on what I should be asking for, as well as what I can do in the meantime, would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the UK and doing this on the NHS.
So far I've been prescribed:
Dactakort and Lotriderm (both anti-fungal creams with steroid)
5 day course of antibiotics (will be taking the last one today)
and I've also been using an antibacterial scrub
I had a bad rash post chemotherapy. I was told by my doctor to place warm wet washcloths on the affected area twice a day for a week for 30 minutes. Then after drying off I was instructed to put Miconazole Nitrate 2 percent on it. In the US it is marketed under the name of "Zeasorb".

If you have a septic system I wouldn't flush wipes. Then you want paper that breaks down easily when it hits the water.

I am in the process of acquiring a new plastic pant based on the CURRENT design of Gerber PEVA panties. Trying to get a gauge on how much I should stock in each size, so please give me your waist size if you fall in the offered range. Sizes are limited right now, but if the line is adopted I can get larger ones.
I am so big I have my pants custom made. That bunch in BC does a wonderful job.

I take a prescribed drug called "Lasix". It is a diuretic. I have issues with edema so the medication helps.

- Gary makes a pant made of polyurethane. It is clear and has a feel like rubber. It is a bit pricey.

Real cotton gauze diapers along with plastic pants.

Having been in hospital I can tell you that the hospital supplied diapers are a joke. Bring your own and the orderlies will love you.

I am a big guy and I have my overpants custom made. I like a lot of room. Gary pant 5XL fits well. I like the pants to blossom to accommodate air circulation

I've just bought my very 1st adult diaper/ nappy.
I opted for a modern cloth contoured design with leg gussets & some elastic at the back of the waistband.
Love wearing it!!... but a major concern is the loud noises velcro fasteners make when I pull them apart or do an adjustment for comfort. Sound travels where I live & the neighbours can be nosey & ask awkward questions.
I'm wondering about the different fastening arrangements which are available & the pro's & cons of each .. Please, could you help me?
Most of us old times will recommend pins. Velcro is problematic in the laundry and it doesn't hold together well. Typically, the diaper outlast the Velcro.

Generally, I wear a BetterDry to bed and that actually works well most night. As a side sleeper and someone that tosses and turns a lot at night they work but can really fail if I have more than a small leak within a period of time. I usually wear a pair of training pants/light cloth diaper and PUL pant over it and that helps with any problems. My other go to is ABUs and those have a cloth sheet inside that I find wicks urine out the top readily and are horrible for my use at night. They rock the day times when I am upright though.
I am finding that within a few hours on nights of trying cloth diapers, I wake to a large wet spot on the bed. I have some great cloth diapers from Babykins and Changing times that are able to absorb and spread the wetness well. What I am guessing is the hem line of the pants I am wearing over it are wet and this is from wicking out the urine as I toss. It is possible it is also getting twisted and causing a gap from where urine presses out if I am on my stomach. I am going to try to wear a fixing pant over the plastic pants next to see if that helps, but I was wonder how to do those wearing cloth diapers to bed prepare yourselves?
In reading other posts tucking the waistband in to the diaper has come up, but that is not really reliable and comes out almost as soon as I sit down on the bed.
Do you use plastic pants with "encased" waistbands?
Which models of pants do you find the best?
Do you go up or down a size from what is normally comfortable for day use?
What about bloomers? I got a pair to try, but during the day any leaks just pool at the leg bands - man that is awkward!
I would love to hear or see any suggestions on how best to prepare for bed in a way to keep me dry.
Use a thicker or second diaper. If the pants are wicking, the diaper isn't doing its job. You can get no-wick pants but they are really uncomfortable. No-wick pants put the plastic right on your skin with the elastic inside the plastic.

Prefer gauze here. Flannel wind up on the dryer screen too much.

Probably to test for UL and CSA safety standards. I am sure it fries the port. This is done because there really are people, who will find a way to connect their USB port to an electrical outlet. The object is to be certain that the computer will not catch fire upom misuse .

You want one while under extreme chemotherapy. They see it all the time.

Back in the 50's Christmas was pretty modest. I was curious about the television in the corner that I saw in the photo. I saw that same TV in a photo dated 1951. Since I am a TV buff, I looked up the cost of that TV. It sold for $149. I could only think what that would be in today's dollars.

I know all about pain. With Cancer, I deal with it daily. Now the popular rhetoric of the day is to bash the drugs used to relieve pain as well as making those drugs harder to get.

Get some pins and get it over with. I tried Velcro and went back to pins as well.
Do you change right away or enjoy the soggy feeling?
