I've been actively training myself to wet the bed for the past 45 days, with the goal of achieving this regardless of whether I'm wearing a diaper. Initially, I followed a routine where I wore diapers every night for the first 30 days, stayed well-hydrated, and consciously let go of my bladder whenever I needed to before returning to sleep. During waking hours, I occasionally practiced urinating without a diaper to acclimate my body to the sensation.
After the initial 30 days, I began incorporating fully clothed bed-wetting sessions once a week, alongside wearing diapers on other nights. My strategy was to wet the bed while clothed in various positions upon waking, aiming to become accustomed to this scenario without relying solely on diaper use.
I faced initial challenges during these clothed bed-wetting sessions, finding it difficult to fall back asleep immediately due to the discomfort of being soaked. However, with consistent practice, I've managed to improve my ability to drift back into sleep while fully soaked.
To ensure that my bed-wetting experiences were truly involuntary and not just a result of forgetting, I devised a method using my phone. I place my phone beside me when sleeping and flip it over if I wake up to urinate. In the morning, I check the position of my phone to determine whether I wet involuntarily or consciously.
Recent observations indicate that my phone remains in the same position as when I fell asleep, suggesting that my body is indeed releasing urine involuntarily during the night without my conscious awareness.
Despite these advancements, I'm encountering a recurring issue of waking up with the urge to urinate later in the night, typically between 4-6 am. This may be attributed to factors like morning arousal or lighter sleep states. I'm curious to know if others have experienced similar challenges and whether this aspect of my bed-wetting journey will improve over time.
