    I liked this story as much or better than the inspiration story. Different twist on it, and was enjoyable to read. So often, these inspired stories are simply a retelling of the original, but this one was good on it's own. Well done.

    Just caught up on this story, and really have enjoyed the realistic business aspects and interactions and can't help feel that Avery is just a small fish about to be caught in a huge net.

    Enjoyed that Hazel seems somewhat amused by this, but it might be a relief to know why her son is not progressing as she had hoped.

    He really has done it now. We all know that he is caught, but wonder if / when the mommies will figure out he took the laxatives. He is likely to be in a royal panic when they show up early and/or the laxative shows no sign of letting up. The tension is palpable at this point.

    This has turned out to be one of my all time favorites - shares some parallels with other favorites of mine such as BabyDoc's The Baby Business. In fact, one can almost imagine this story coming off of that same storefront...So much control and such wonderful attention to detail in the writing, looking forward to reading more. Zack is in for a long summer, by the way things are heading.

    One other root cause of later training is likely the diapers themselves. Disposables don't feel wet and uncomfortable as quickly as cloth do, so there is less incentive from the child to want to be potty trained. The benefits of disposables being pushed as baby-dry etc., have a unintended consequence of later potty training. Though as I type it, perhaps it is not at all unintentional, as it would mean a lengthening of the revenue stream for every baby. An extra year or so in diapers means a lot more sales for the diaper companies...

    Interesting exchange...seems wife to wife communication is better than at least one wife to husband...

    why do i get the sense, that we have not seen the last of lauren. Will Mommy bump into her on her way out? Perhaps she is still on the phone discussing the scene she just witnessed with our hero?
