Most US hospitals buy the cheapest diapers they can get low bid. They are usually Medline Wings which are paper lined plastic cut out to fit a Standard Human. Those Medline's do come in ugly colors. Medline diapers are the commonly stocked diapers in the Veteran's Administration Hospital! Even then you have to have a doctor's order/prescription in order to get just the Medline's. To Get anything else requires the doctors to fill out a special order based on need (need being proven by abnormal Cystometry and or Rectal Manometry tests).

I suppose that could work biggest thing might be when through peeing if the cath is empty you could get an infection of some sort wandering up the cath. But sure seems like it would work.

Hi Tara I did catheters for a just over a year. Cath is not all that hard but there is a proper procedure to do it right. There is the kind you leave in and its hooked up to a leg bag or the other type you use to drain your bladder then remove and dispose of the cath. Biggest problem I always had was urinary tract infections after a while the doctor put me back into diapers. When you say use a cath to become incontinent I assume you mean to leave the cath inserted so you constantly drain out your bladder??

Withing six months of my return from the Persian Gulf I started having urinary & fecal incontinence. My diagnosis was made at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and later reconfirmed by the doctors at the National Naval Medical Center and they both performed every test possible. The incontinence was secondary to my multiple sclerosis. The doctor will issue a request for "DIAPERS"!! What you get is what they have in the pharmacy!! If you are remotely located they are shipped thru the supply line by the Pharmacy's Supply Officer. If at a Military installation with a hospital they are a common stock item (Medline Wings classic). If they do not have in stock or the diapers do not work for you then the doctor will reissue the Prescription for a product that will meet your needs. Also ask your Urologist or Gastro doctors as they are more informed what is available. The pharmacy supply has a catalog of products that they can choose from. If they still can't provide something that works then go to the hospital's patient affairs and patient advocate. I was military supplied diapers for over 6 years out of my 26 1/2 yrs before my multiple sclerosis got to the point where I could not perform my job and I was medically retired.

I would think it might possibly have to do with an idea by whomever that you might be thinking of them as becoming caregiver versus a boyfriend. girlfriend or lover. Going into a relationship with the feeling that you will constantly changing some one's diaper could be a reason for that person not wanting a relationship with you. And of course the odd chance that you two might be in public when that incident of incontinence occurs and results in an embarrassing moment. I know when my brother takes me shopping with him to get me out of the house it can be embarrassing when my urinary & fecal incontinence kick in and your standing at the cash register with folks looking around for where the smell is coming from. In those situations we always pick a line that has a baby in a shopping cart so everyone in the line will think the Lil stinker in the cart did it.

Dear Amphetamenace if he is "But he's curious, and consenting" of you wearing them have you tried asking him if he would like to try them? Perhaps as suggested above saying to him if he tried you would love to apply the lotion, powder and then then diaper he might try it as part of love making and want more. Just a thought hope it helps

Yes to #1 as I have my own nursery in my house Yes to #2 as a close friend also has a nursery in their house. But No yo a commercial nursery No to #3 I have visting nurse.caregiver that could do that

makes it look like the babies are having a pooping contest. makes you wonder what a toddler in potty training think when they see a commercial like that. aka Does it make them want to have a pooping contest in daycare to see who can out poop the other and win the prize.
