Mark, i had exactly the same problem with baby/todler pacifiers. my teeth hurt after sucking on a baby paci. i ordered an NUK5 and my teeth have never hurt since. ive been sucking my paci for years and years and years now and ive goto the dentists every 12months, my dentist has never once talked about movement or damage to my teeth - not that she knows i suck a paci, but dentists would notice some kind of damage/distortion with teeth (you'd expect) and ask you what you doing/eating to cause this, if you have pain/infections etc... they would want to know - or i'd hope they would anyway! so since ive changed to my NUK5 ive never been happier if you havent already mark, order an NUK5! you'll love it

I used to sleep without my pacifier and i'd get a good nights sleep, 95% of the time undisturbed so i'd sleep right through, wake up feeling refreshed and awake the next morning, i had a really good routine (if you could call it a routine) , that was before i had my pacifier. ive had DL tendancies since i can remember from being young, but its only since ive grown older that ive been able to act on them - such as buy nappies/diapers (im from UK!) and to be honest ive never been happier! i started getting the feeling that i wanted a pacifier one day, and a short time later i ordered one of the internet. i was quite happy with my paci during the day, but at night when i was using my paci i'd get a restless nights sleep, waking up repetitively, getting a bad nights sleep on the whole. i'd always lose my paci out of my mouch by the time i woke up - maybe i'd lose my paci and then because i'd lost it, subconsciously my body decided it was time to wake up to find my paci? i duno, seems feasible since this happens to most babies who use pacifiers at night. (when id lose my paci i would find it in the bed somewhere and put in back in then fall strasight back to sleep) after about a week of this i started getting full nights of sleep like i always used to get. id hardly ever lose my paci and i'd wake up in the morning with it still in. after that, ive rarely slept without my pacifier, but the nights that ive not used my paci have been restless and waking up every couple of hour or so. so now i use my paci every night and i get much better sleep, and i feel much better in the morning for sleeping with my paci. i feel theres a small difference between my sleep before and after my paci, but the transition time between using and stopping using my paci definitely affects my sleep. i feel i get a better nights sleep with my paci, but if i lose it during the night i do usually wake up - although i hardly ever lose my paci anymore. i duno if its becasue i actually LIKE using a pacifier or its just been a long time since ive slept for a long timefame without my paci that i feel i get better sleep. im not sure but theres one thing i know. there's few feelings as good as sucking on my paci and gently falling asleep.

After messing my diapers, i clean-up in the shower, give everything a good wash and scrub and get out to dry myself down. its at this stage when im drying myself that i realise my bum cheeks still smell a little bit even though its clean. as far as i know its not noticable by anybody else and not noticable im in wearing clothes but when i touch my bum with a towel or my hands, they then smell ! ummm what im trying to say is... my bum cheeks seem to "absorb" some of the smell and i cant get rid of it! - again its only noticeable by me but i wouldnt want to run the risk of anybody else catching a whiff! does this happen to anybody else and what, if anything can i do about it? thanx!

it took me 2 years to tell my gf, although i wish i had done it sooner! (becuase shes fine with it and loves me even more than before i told her) i wouldnt tell her gf on the first date (but some people decide this is the best way) i would tell them BEFORE we got too serious, for example, moving in together, people develop their own relations at different speeds, for example, some couples meet and are living together after 2-3 months, me and my gf have only just started talking about living together after 2 years! so depending on your relationship i think the time could vary. i told my gf when i thought it was the right time, when we loved each other (enough that i thought she might understand) but when we wasnt to envolved that we was living together/had children/married etc. i'd suggest always tell them before you get live together, get married or have children of your own. i think this would be too far and a bad reaction would wreck everything, espically if children are envoled in the relationship, they might suffer the most from a break-up. sorry 4 long post!, hope that helps!

oh, i forgot to mention, along with great service, the pacifiers are good quality (in my opinion, havent ordered any tohers to compare though) but i did order a NUK5 (original medicproL) and a modifed one with the baby-style guard. both good quality but i must say, the NUK guard seems to sit better on my face, so i think i'll be sticking with the coloured NUK guards for a long time until i find something better. i love it!!

i ordered two pacifiers from inner-child (UK based), i ordered them on the monday afternoon, they was dispatached first class tuesday, delivered wednesday afternoon, couldnt be happier! i am now addicted to my paci..... hehe

i wish stores in the UK did sell them, sometimes its very hard for me to order online and be agurenteed to be at home for when they arrive (i live with my parents) if they accepted large packages while i was at work, they might start asking questions (what did you order) lol! the majority of companies order very descreetly, although some companies send diapers out in large boxes (or cases). Once i got an order in that had two fair sized holes in the side of large cardboard case (so you could carry it easily) and you could see what was inside, (if you looked though the hole!) They delivered while i was at work but luckily i got home before my parents to accept them!

I totally agree! i dont want to "act" as a baby, (if u can call going to bed with a paci not acting like a baby) but yeah its weird, theres probably some AB in most of us somewhere, some are more than others. come to think of it, ive been getting some really great sleep this last week while using my toddler 18m+ paci, i sleep like a baby, literally, lol. I found it funny last night, i woke up and the first thing i thought of was "wheres my paci" (it had fallen out), i found it just next to me on the bed and as soon as i put it back in i was asleep again, easilly within 5mins or so, unless it was some very realistic dream! ive only been using a paci for about 1 week or so and i have a reaction so strong already?! anybody else experience this in the early days of using a paci?

i havent even recieved my nuk 5 yet (obviously, i only ordered it yesterday, but i want to order another one! a blue one with a teddy picture on it, oh and a paci clip as well so i dont lose it!!! what do you think? i should order another?

Merry Christmas! thankyou again for the replys! much appreciated, i definately agree, the 18m+ paci rests on my front teeth, not any further in, so maybe a nuk5 will solve the problem i know myself theres no reason to fight my feelings, to be honest a few years ago, (when i was experimening with diapers) i decided it was "wrong" (i cant really explain) but i convinced myself that i shouldnt be doing this, adults dont do this etc. a few months later the feelings came back, i repeatedly tried to forget and ignore them, but i couldnt. i dont see any reason to ignore these AB urges, im gona do it eventually, lol just ordered an nuk 5 from inner-child, a nice blue one i know its xmas day but they will be working again by new year ouuh ouuh!
