  1. My mom put me in diapers for pooping in my pants after I was officially potty trained on a few occassions. I remember coming home from playing with messy pants and immediately being put back in diapers.
  2. I was very late to potty train and one of my memories wearing diapers happened when I was 5 yrs old and we went to the beach as a family. We were near tide pools and I wanted to explore them, so my mom took off my pants exposing my bulky cloth diapers and plastic pants. I went exploring the tide pools wearing a tshirt, diapers and my sneakers. I got so caught up with the crabs and other sea creatures that I didn't notice another family with kids joining us. The other kids were around my age and wearing swim suits, while I was obviously diapered. I remember feeling embarrassed and ran back to our beach camp and played in the sand. I got all sandy and my mom took me down to the water to wash off all the sand. She took off my shirt which made my diapers more obvious and splashed water on my legs and plastic pants. I had to sit on the blanket to dry off in just my diapers and I remember how bulky they were as I sat there air drying. Of course, they probably weren't dry inside ;-).
  3. I am getting my Dry 24/7s today via Fedex - a great day.
  4. A potential Investment candidate? ABDLs have spending power.
  5. I consider myself an ABDL and enjoy both diapers and feeling of being a little, albiet without much of the baby stuff that goes along with it. When little, I am more of an older toddler still not potty trained.
  6. Dry 24/7 tonight, Bambino Teddys tomorrow, alternating with Dry 24/7s through the week, and my latest order of Bambino Classicos later in the week when they come in. A great week for diapers!
  7. I was diagnosed with IBS as a child after numerous tests that were inconclusive. It caused fecal incontinence in me for the longest time so I potty trained very late as a result. My mom's answer was to keep me in diapers until I could gain better control coupled with a change in diet away from rich foods, milk, etc. Even after I was potty trained, I would go back in diapers during the times my IBS flared up bad as a child. My mom would diaper me and keep me home from school until it settled down. As I got older I learned to manage my IBS with the diet and to learn my body's signals when my IBS would flare up.
  8. Barona is one of the better large casinos in the area and is located about 25 miles east from Balboa Park and the San Diego zoo. It is a little off the beaten path and up in eh mountains off of Wildcat Canyon road - not too hard to find, but you will be off the freeway for the last 10 miles. I would go in the daytime since Wildcat Canyon road is curving with inclines. Once at Barona, it is a large casion with lots to do including an excellent golf course. Others to consider are Viejas (off Interestate 8 30 miles from downtown) or Syacuyan (closer than Barona but not directly off the freeway inbetween Alpine and El Cajon). I prefer Barona to Viejas, but have yet to visit Syacuyan. Let me know if you have any other questions about San Diego and enjoy.
  9. Listen to rusty pins, these are words to live by to make your lifestyle the most acceptable and tolerable among those that don't understand. It would be great if everyone was so accepting, but part of the excitement of being an ABDL and wearing diapers, is that it is a bit taboo and I feel naughty doing it. Expand your network of ABDL friends to gain acceptance and don't try to force this on others that will probably never fully understand our needs and feelings.
  10. Bambinos or Dry 24/7s are my favorites
  11. It amazes me that things that happened so long ago as child - 30 plus years, have such a profound impact on my feelings today. I still remember many of my childhood experiences being in diapers and having such mixed emotions about it at the time. I can remember during the later stages of my diaper days, wanting so desperately to be out of them like all the other kids my age. Soon after I finally graduated to big boy pants, I found myself yearning to return to diapers and even had accidents that got me back in them on more than a few occasions. My mom didn't have a problem using diapers on me and it made such a huge impact. I sometimes wonder whether it would have been better to not have any of this happen and never have a desire for diapers - I can't change the past, however, and will just embrace who I am and what I like - wearing diapers!
  12. I am sure my childhood potty training struggles and having to diapers as an older child are not only a factor in me being an ABDL but have also shaped other parts of my personality ala freud.
  13. I am glad to see I am not alone with my late potty training and diaper connection. I really think that being kept in diapers so late in childhood made a huge impact on me and that the needs for continually wearing diapers even today were imprinted from those childhood experiences. I remember liking the extra attention I got for wearing diapers and yearn for that today. What I find ironic is that I also yearn for the embarrassment I felt for being in diapers as an older child and like returning to that embarrassed little boy when I put on my diapers now.
  14. Thanks for sharing. I found these podcasts were outstanding and I look forward to being a regular listener.
  15. I wonder how many ABDLs were how difficulties during their potty training stage like me. Apparently, I was very difficult to potty train as a child and ended up wearing diapers relatively late into childhood as a result of my resistance to the potty. According to my mom, she tried to potty training me multiple times, but I would always have accidents that resorted to her giving up and keeping me in diapers. I stayed in diapers until I was 6 years old. I remember during this time I had a mixed emotions to wearing diapers, but eventually grew attached to them and started having feelings toward waiting to stay in diapers. I attribute this to my ABDL feelings today and would like to know if other ABDLs experienced anything similar with potty training.
  16. I think my childhood difficulties with potty training and being a bedwetter have everything to do with why I am an ABDL today with such a strong attraction and need to wear diapers. I didn't fully potty train until I was over 6 years old and wore diapers up until that point. My mom tried to potty train me a few times before that age, but I always ended up back in diapers soon after each attempt and got conditioned to wearing diapers. I remember having very mixed feelings about having to wear diapers as an older child, and at some point I started to grow attached to them. I remember not wanting to give them up even though I was extremely embarrassed to be in diapers around other kids or in public. After finally potty training, I wore diapers at night for bedwetting and remember enjoying being diapered by my mom each night. I loved the extra attention I got with my diapers. After my bath, I would go to my room and my mom would put me in my diapers and pjs and I got to stay up a while longer before bedtime. In the morning, I woke up in my wet diapers and during the weekends watched cartoons before my mom got up. I used to like to stay in my diapers as long as possible during the weekend before being taken out of them for the day. As a teenager, I started buying diapers and wearing them again. I thought I was the only adult to like wearing diapers until I discovered the ABDL community on the web in the 1990s and have been active in the ABDL community ever since.
  17. Pampers Thick wipes work great with clean up and getting rid of odors.
  18. Living in San Diego and LA, we go to Disneyland all the time and have had annual passes for the past five years - it never gets old. You have great advice on the reply posts so I will only add a few things from my experience. Since you are staying 7 days, try to break it up between Disneyland and other Southern California attractions, including a must drive down to San Diego. Stay at the Disneyland resorts if possible and I highly recommend the Grand California Hotel which is situated adjacent to both Downtown Disney (for shopping and restaurants) and California Adventure. Get a 3 to 5 day park hopper to get the full experience of both theme parks. You can get a full experience in 3 days depending upon your pace, but may opt for 5 if you want to take your time. The weekdays are the best time to avoid crowds and I would travel on Sunday and start the parks on Monday. Early is better for the popular rides and those staying at the Disney resorts usually get early admission. Use the Fast Passes when possible on the popular rides - Indiana Jones, Soaring over Californai, Splash Mountain.... Break up the day in the parks with periodic trips to eat in Downtown Disney and go back to the hotel for pool time and finish the evening in the parks. Make sure to catch the evening light shows - they are spectacular! As fas as Southern California attractions, it all depends on your preferences. If you like the beach scene, there are plenty of great beaches in the LA area or head down highway 1 into the beach communities of San Diego. Stop at the Belly Up in Solana Beach to catch a good rock and roll show. The San Diego Zoo is great for the day and the GasLamp downtown is where to spend your nights. Let me know if you would like more information. Have fun and be little...
  19. I was potty trained relatively late and stayed in diapers fulltime until I was 6 years old. I had mixed feelings about being in them at the time, but it obviously lead to my attachment to diapers later in life and an ABDL today. My guess is that there are between 250,000 to 500,000 ABDLs in the US today based soley on gut feel and memberships to various ABDL online communities and boards.
  20. Bambino Teddy, before that a Dry 24/7 - tough choice between two great diapers, I'll just continuing wearing both kinds
  21. After a long day's work, I come home and put on my bambinos or Dry 24/7s and spend the evening in thick disposable diapers. I wet through the night (front, back and middle of my diapers) and wake up in a swollen diaper almost too thick to walk. That is my perfect thick diaper day.
  22. I was a late potty trainer and remember wearing pampers, as well as cloth diapers and plastic pants, well beyond the normal potty training age. I have very distinct memories of wearing pampers in early-mid 1970s and how much they crinkled and their unique smell. I was wearing diapers during the time period where cloth diapers and plastic pants were being phased out in favor of disposable diapers. My mom usually kept me in cloth diapers and plastic pants for bedtime and around the house and I wore pampers outside the home and at daycare. Since I was prone to accidents, I was also put back in diapers on numerous occassions past potty training to help manage my lack of control issues. I remember having very distinct memories of my emotions during my time in diapers running the gambit of embarrassment, security, confusion, frustration and even liking the extra attention that being in diapers brought me.
  23. I am back in Bambino Teddys again after being in Dry 24/7s for the last two months. The Bambinos are a nice change of pace and I am really enjoying their softness compared to the Dry 24/7 brand. Not as thick, but still very enjoyable.
