  1. angie's list is a rating service, craig's list is to whore your stuff
  2. The show was so fake/cliche representation of multiple personalities it irritated me in the first ten minutes. The only reason I put it on was to watch my roommate(Diapered witch) who is one of 9 in her system have a complete coniption fit over it.
  3. Personally I believe that no relationship can survive on secrets and I'm glad you told her. It is definitely not an easy discussion and I for one don't look forward to it myself, hell I won't even come completely clean with my therapist. Left it at age play.
  4. I've learned just to accept who I am and work on those things in which I can change while not dwelling on what I can't. I have shame in what I do, however when I see my goofy self in the mirror with a diaper and pacifier, yes I have to chuckle.
  5. One thing i will chime in with is that there is a difference between "different" and psychotic. I've been friends with those who are a little special and I've had friends who were straight up psychotic and a danger to those around them. Hell I pressed charges against one(later dropped because he ccomitted a greater felony) and had to have a no contact order on the other. not every case of being different is okay and should be accepted. there are instances where people do need medical attention if they are to be allowed amongst the relatively sane. that beimng said, the eccentric and the different aren't amongst that group, there is a clear difference. When the voices in your head are louder than the voices outside your head then yes it's time to see a doctor.
  6. Well if some psych students want to join in on the chat that is perfectly fine. I will point out far more interesting and bizzarre fetishes you can check out, i.e. Voreism and Balloonism. Seeing as I know a little psychology, I'd like to point out that in the DSMIV that Fetish and pariphanalia are not a disorder unless they cause funtional impairment. Welcome to the site, pull up a chair and enjoy.
  7. Stanley please don't do this. *edit, never mind too late* For all fo you complaining that someone doesn't represent you, volunteer or quit complaining
  8. I have to agree it's a luxury and right now I'm little stuck with my own medical expenses.
  9. I started the opposite, from a DL who grew into the AB role. I've been on a purge pretty much all week, however I am still more of a DL than an AB but that is probably more out of neccessity. I'm sure in the right circumstances it would be different.
  10. Sounds more like she just gave up. Kudos either way, just make sure you are doing something out of the ordinary for her.
  11. Shock and awe sells, look at the media and look at politics. Hell I get bashed for being a Christian because you know we're all intolerant savages, it's not the small minority that they keep showing on the news(Die in a fire Fred Phelps!) and the media doesn't portray kinksters all that positively either. I understand why both religious people and kinky people get mocked, both behaviors are outside the nonexistent norm and people don't like being reminded that there is no such thing as normality. To be normal is to be abnormal, it's a subjective term. As for your radio interview have fun with it, don't be afraid to crack jokes back and definitely have them leave out identifying information. Direct people to Stanley's site if he comes up or mention Rileykilo and her appearance. she managed to be very calm and collected about her lifestyle. The key is demonstrate that while being an age player or a diaper lover we can still live completely "normal" lives.(i.e. we can still abide by the societal contract)
  12. I've heard of parties bouncing off the walls just not up them.
  13. When I want to rage fit I dust off some old school punk.(Nofx, blackglag, penny wise or bouncing souls)
  14. Depeche mode was a darkwave band from the 80's.(New wave but with darker melodies and subject matter) http://youtu.be/MzGnX-MbYE4
  15. Actually i have witnessed far more bigotry by cisgendered women in general that has absoultely nothing to do with religion, well unless you are willing to be honest and acknoweldge extreme feminism for what it is. Both the left and the right use people's fears and misconceptions to manipulate them. the left uses the term intolerant as if it has any actual bearing and the religious right screams hell at everyone with the same assumption that it has any actual bearing. When you realize how pathetic and hypocritical both sides are, you realize they are just two different methods at accomplishing the same goal of control. The simple truth is people don't like change and fear what they don't understand. Transgenderism is still a fairly new science and not everyone is at the same level of understanding or agreement on it's validity. There are those who are intelligent enough to live their own life with a differing opinion and then there are those who aren't intelligent enough and need to impose their view on others. This concept isn't unique or new to modern society but has been a thorn in civilization for ages. The extreme left and extreme right are two sides of the same coin and I've read more brain dead bigotry in this thread from some of the so called open minded crowd that I could've sworn you are from westboro baptist. When you live outside these extremes you realize how completely shit it all is. Do as you will and respect that others do not have to agree or disagree with you, regardless of what the "What" you do is.(Religion, science, fetish, orientation, it doesn't matter). I had a differing view of the transgendered community prior to getting to know a few and through the course of seeking knowledge and understanding I've learned a great deal. I left my preconceived notions and prejudices at the altar and decided to approach people as people and not as a label. I am not perfect and I have principles on which i stand that aren't the most popular, however, I will always strive to have an honest discussion with people and agree to disagree whenever possible. Somewhere in all of this there is a depeche mode song that fits perfectly.
  16. Personally I look at what we do as a fetish, sexual or nonsexual it is a deviatyion of what is considered normal. I don't feel I have the right to impose this upon my friends. now if they call me out on it, I will be honest with them as a friend and if they can't handle it then screw them.
  17. The problem I see with the left and being open mided and I have proved this point out repeatedly is that many who claim opendmindedness are only open minded within the confines of what they agree. It's open minded to be pro gay marraige however to even attempt to understand where someone who is against it is coming from is immediately close minded ir ignorant. the progressives like to throw racist or ignorant around as buzz words to discredit opposition while the religious right wingers use hell and the overzealous secular right wingers use socialism and communism, likewise a liberal will throw marxism and facism as buzz words. I simply do not understand any government thta needs to dictate to the people and businesses under it's jurisdiction what thye can like, what they can't like and how do run their day to day lives. If you don't believe in something then don't practice it, likewise if you do believe in something then do so. the problem is when either side decides they need society's approval for whatever act they wish to partake. I had a discussion with an individual who attacked libertarianism due to open business practicies, citing the usual extremists argument of "What if a business had a no homosecuals sign?" simply put the correct answer to that question is I wouldn't shop there, nor would I a business that openly mocked my faith, eventually free market would reign in and either the business will collapse or change their mantra. Government enforcement of togetherness doesn't remove hatred or poor ethical practices, people being allowed to let the free market dictate success and failure does. There are obvious exceptions to every rule so I don't think this statement neccessarily should be allowed to apply to the public sector, however public sector is not relegated by free market anyways.(i.e. hospitals or anything federally funded or supported.)
  18. Ron {aul is more of a Consitutionalist which is what our government was supposed to be based on. Most of his beliefs are based on the 10th Amednment which delegated things not covered by the first nine to be dlegated to the people, state and lasty the feds.
  19. I watched it last night and it's the 1970's equivelant to Birddemic. It's a low budget, 1970's b-movie where a social worker steals a grown man who is mentally a baby from his family because they're abusing him, only to do the same damn thing. Watch this movie is if you are a fan of MST3K because the Fetish jokes alone make this amusing. I reccomend at least watching it once in the same way people reccomend the Human Centipede; it's so bad that it is amusing.
  20. meh I got my fill of beatings in already, though an occasional spanking might be fun.
