Yeah I've had quite a few in my lifetime. When I was younger those kind of dreams were the ones that contributed to me having wet dreams a couple of times.

There's a thing or group amongst African American males called "The Down Low" It was mentioned on Law and Order SVU and then my sister mentioned it because one of her friends when she was living in Atlanta is a social worker and she's heard about this from black men. The downlow is these groups of married black men that get together for like a poker night. They play poker from what I've heard but they also have sexual relations with each other. When it's over with they go back to their normal married lives and they do this on these poker nights from what I've heard. I guess it's called the Downlow because being gay is so stigmatized in African American culture and you're raised to grow up to be strong as a man and to get married and be a father and these men don't speak of it they keep it very discreet. So I do agree that in general African Americans keep things quieter in terms of sex atleast what they actually do behind the bedroom door. I also agree with the OP that the disparity between AB/DL males and females is probably the biggest factor. There are few enough white females as it is in the fetish which means fewer African American females because they are in the minority population wise already.

I think you just have to leave him alone with the diapers. Most likely it's just a phase that he'll grow out of or he could be into the fetish itself. Either way you should allow him to experiment in his own privacy and allow him to buy them. If he wants to get them badly enough he'll either steal them or even worse experiment with used diapers that are already in the trash. I would just leave him be since most likely he's already embarrassed that you know anyway he just probably had to get it out because it was just something he needed to get off his chest. I believe some things about Freud's theories. He was a smart man that didn't have much research to base his theories on and came up with ideas that no one even thought about and still some of his theories are used by some which I think is remarkable in and of itself. I agree, let him wear them if he wants to. He's not hurting anyone. I would just let him wear at home but if he does wear in public, obviously make sure you all are discreet about it. If he's repressed the desires will be that much stronger later on down the road. It might just be a phase as well, let him wear them and he might actually get tired about it.

Hmm these are interesting thoughts. What I've always wondered is what if the parent had no desire to dress up or act like a baby and only liked to wear diapers just for the hell of it? I mean if the parent just liked wearing them sometimes when they felt like it or if they chose to all the time, would it still be inappropriate?

Convenience is the main thing, toilets are terribly inconvenient. Another thing would be to rebel against society and the stupidity that is established by society like that adults and older kids shouldn't wear diapers. They are also cute and comfortable and I think since you did join that you probably do actually want to wear them and you'd probably like them. I'd say go for it if you think it would make you feel better.
