  4. Lived in many places during my lifetime and settled in California just north of Sacramento. Been in diapers most of my life as today I am 54 years young.
  5. I have been in diapers for longer than I would like to admit and going out in public wearing them is a normal fact of life. I wear thick cloth diapers and plastic pants under baggy shorts but they are still noticeable as the short shrink after repeated washing. Not one person has stopped me and asked if I was wearing diapers. Many have probably noticed but
  6. I agree with many here who use the standard baby diaper pins. They work well as long as you do not try to pin through too many layers of material. Never had a problem with the pin coming undone and putting a hole in my plastic pants or sticking me. They easily attach to my medium and large diaper twill pre-folds.
  7. CTDC has two styles of adult pre-folds and the only difference is the thread on the short ends. BT identifies the diapers with blue thread and WT is for the diapers with white thread.
  8. I am very pleased with my prefolds from Changing Times Diaper Company. 100 percent cotton diaper twill and an exact copy of the infant Chinese prefolds sold through many online retailers of baby diapers. The diapers become softer after a couple of washes and take on a quilted look. They are extremely comfortable and absorbent. I have worn diapers made with flannel, birdseye, terry (nappies), and gauze. The diaper twill prefold is the most comfortable to date. Their new style has blue thread on the short ends but made to the same specifications as the style with the white thread. 4x10x4 design and the center panel runs the entire length of the diaper. No terry or other material used inside. Times are tough financially for some of us and it's worth checking around for the best price. I have compared prices and CTDC prices cannot be beat by any other online source for adult cloth diapers or Gary vinyl pants. There is only one other source I have found for the diaper twill prefolds and they are in Ontario, Canada. Prices are good but shipping adds to the final price. Adult Cloth Diaper, Fetware, LL Medico and Baby Pants to name a few all sell the same Gary Manufacturing pant but again, CTDC has the best prices. They offer a 10% discount on the purchase of four or more diapers and/or vinyl pants. Bottom line, well worth a try if you are looking to save money and have a diaper which is comfortable, absorbent and long lasting. Check them out : https://www.changingtimesdiaperco.com/ .
  9. There are several on-line suppliers of cloth diaper and plastic pants and everyone has their favorites. I would suggest Changing Times Diaper Company as they have diaper twill pre-folds which are very comfort and absorbent. Prices are not bad either compared to the other sources. https://www.changingtimesdiaperco.com/

  12. You may want to try the Lang original vinyl pants from Changing Times Diaper Company and directly for the manufacturer - Lifestyles Emporium. These vinyl pants began as a competitor to the Gerber baby pants back in the 70's. They have changed little over the years and the only noticeable difference is the pants are now higher waisted. The pants still use the original vinyl formula and the only difference is a chemical which is basically a "poison" was removed for the current formula. Well worth a try. You can get fast, friendly service from https://www.changingtimesdiaperco.com/ . You can use any search engine to find the web address for Lifestyles Emporium. They are located in Sonoma, California.
  13. Hi pax87, Changing Times Diaper Company ships very discretely. The return address is CTDC along with their post office box number and location. They will use the USPS shipping boxes or plain envelopes. Only persons who know what is inside the packaging is the company and you. I believe you could have them sent to General Delivery at your local post office. Something worth a little investigating if you do not want a package sent to your aunt's place. I can highly recommend their products and the company will stand behind what they sell. Their prefolds are the best value on the market today and you will not be disappointed. I would recommend trying one at first along with the snappi diaper fastener to make sure they will meet your needs. The Bumkins adult pants are awesome and identical to the infant sized products. The waterproof polyester is very comfortable and the patterns are not the standard nursery prints. The Lang vinyl pants have been one of my favorite brands since the 80's as they are nearly identical to baby pants I wore as a child and later into my teen years. Inconbob
  14. Hi quicktip, You might want to try the prefolds from Changing Times Diaper Company. They are made with diaper twill and extremely comfortable - even when wet. The prefold is an exact copy of a Diaper Service Quality (DSQ) diaper and a 4x10x4 design. Five sizes are offered and the prices are hard to beat. A 10% discount is offered on the purchase of four or more which will keep the price under the $20.00 each. Also offered are the Lang plastic pants which are a favorite of mine along with Bumkins Finer Baby Products adult diapering garments. You will not be disappointed in the products or service. https://www.changingtimesdiaperco.com/ Happy Thanksgiving, Inconbob

  19. Hi darboy, I make my own diapers using the 21" x 40" baby diapers purchased from Granitesmiths Diapers on ebay. She purchases them from a company in China and they are very similiar to the old Curity 21" x 40" diapers. I developed a technique where I combine 4 or 6 diapers to make one about 26" x 40". An additional flat diaper consisting of 4 or 6 are layed on top of each other and sewn around the edges. These two diapers are combined with 2 or 3 Gerber prefold diapers for extra absorbency. It took a couple of attempts to get the diapers a perfect fit. Nothing beats the comfort of gauze cotton. My daytime diaper consist of the 8 flat diapers and 2 prefolds. Nightime diapers are 12 flat diapers and 3 prefolds. I have yet to have a leak as they absorb extremely well. The diapers wash and dry very easy since they are layered. I have found the adult prefolds available from several sources take an extrememly long time to dry. I have about 12 gauze and birdseye prefold diapers, but prefer my homemade ones for comfort, absorbency and ease of washing. I normally use 4 diaper pins to keep the diaper tight. I have a large selection of Gerber and Dritz plastic head pins. I am also fortunate enough to have obtained some larger nappy pins from England made by Boots and Newey before they were discontinued. My plastic pants are from VIP, Gary, Edley (Lifestyles Emporium), KINS and Bumkins. I still have a pair of the Comco disney print pant and several other styles which are no longer available.
  20. Freshly washed plastic pants.
  21. My choice is cloth diapers and plastic/waterproof pants anytime I am not at work. Gauze cotton is the best as it is more comfortable than flannel or birdseye materials. The diapers are easily washed and dried at home. I have a large supply of pants from VIP, KINS and Gary. There is a new waterproof pants which recently was introduced and becoming a favorite of mine. It is the Bumkins Finer Baby Products adult waterproof pants and it is an exact copy of their infant pull-on pants. They come in colorful prints and are extremely comfortable and secure against leaks. It's about time one of the manufacturers of baby diapering products designed a product for us adults. They are available from https://www.changingtimesdiaperco.com . Don't be surprised if many sizes and prints are soldout, but more are on the way according to the site. They even come with the Bumkins Baby label just like the Gerber Babywear special size pants did back in the 70's and early 80's. I have attached photos of an infant and adult size pants. My choice in disposables is the Abri Form X-Plus for its absorbency and fit. This is a great brief and definitely better than most US brands. The Tranquiliy ATN and Tena Supers are also favorites. I do not take any chances with leaks and will wear a plastic/waterproof pants over them for added security.
