I think it may be time to get new specs! This thread's been running for almost a year and it's been on the front page for more than a week, but I came in here thinking it was a new thread called Rocky Horses! I think as you're the only one who knows your work environment and colleagues, the best person to decide whether or not there would be any repercussions from your dressing as an AB, is you, dandan. Since you feel the need to run it past us, I sense the negatives may outwegh the positives in your mind right now? If this is the case, I'd urge caution and suggest you wear something that's not likely to raise eyebrows at your work's party and save your AB gear to enjoy at your college Halloween celebrations where the atmosphere is bound to be less uptight and your choice of costume less open to misinterpretation Hope you have fun, whatever you decide D lly

Very scary indeed. Being able to smell it, taste it and see the smog and ash all around you must be horrendously unnerving. It's hard to imagine what it must be like to live in such close proximity to the fires sweeping such a vast area of inhabited land. I recently returned from Greece, where the aftermath of the widespread and devastating fires this summer is a frightening sight to see (and smell.) To make matters worse, apparently developers jumped on the bandwagon while the forests were raging and deliberately started fires around built-up areas (such as Olympia and Athens) to clear the way for building on land that was formerly out-of-bounds to them. Natural disasters such as fires, earthquakes (that's a terrifying description of your experience square_duck!) Tsunamis, etc, are a sobering reminder that, in spite of the scientists' historical and ongoing attempts to tame it, nature always retains the upper hand by biting us on the backside, often when we least expect it. My thoughts go out to everyone caught up in this frightening and devastating situation. Dolly

I think you'll find that it wasn't he who deleted his posts, as he started a new thread in here (Support) entitled "Posts" demanding to know where his posts had gone! I think we have Rosie to thank for wiping his numerous inane and unpleasant one-liners from the boards. Thanks Rosie. I think this is part of the problem. I've noticed a rash of new members just recently (I suspect it's one or two with multiple ID's) and they suddenly appear and flood the boards as a short-cut to get into Chat without having to provide ID or a dollar.
