  1. Sometimes, when I'm diapered, I will go sit. It's less strain on my diaper that way- sometimes it's the only way to make it thru the day. I always sit when I am having diarrhea issues. Much safer that way.
  2. These are the most comfortable pullup I have ever tried. They fit me snugly, have a thicker feel than most, and have very good capacity for a pullup. However, they are still pullups. To change them you still have to take your pants off- PITA. I much prefer Abri-Wings or Euron Wings for daytime use.
  3. Weather has been hard on all delivery services right now. My i/c has flared up again, so I called Gary Monday and asked him to send me a few cases. They are due here today, and I don't think they will arrive on time. The interstate between here and there was closed last night due to flooding. I may have to buy more depends while I wait (yuck).
  4. I still don't get it- should I just put on my tighty whiteys over my cloth diaper? Won't that leak? Alot? Fetware used to creep me out- just too into the whole kink scene. Just looked at their pages, and they are far more conservative these days. Seems expensive though I might try them.
  5. I read that whole thing (The Primer) with great interest several times. Loads of good information that saved me a lot of embarrassment and time when it comes to cheap disposables. It is all very strongly geared to towards cloth and makes the message of "you will ultimately go to cloth so you might as well start there". I haven't quite come to that conclusion yet, but I did figure out how he is doing his diaper folds. It sure seems like a lot of work to end up with a "baloon butt" diaper fit. There is no way I could do regular changes in the office restroom like that- it's just not practical. The way I understand it, you have two full diapers, and then inserts stacked on top of that. The inner full diaper gets folded in first (front over back) then the outer diaper comes next, done in the same manner. Then two sets of pins take care of top and bottom on each side. Then you have to bunch up that huge wad of cloth between your legs so that you can walk. Then the plastic pants go over that.
  6. Thanks redneck, I appreciate your feedback. What do you mean by "loose fitting pants are fine"? I have tried plastic pants several times to stops the leaks from cheap disposables, and they just don't fit me. I have big thighs and average waist, so if I get pants big enough to fit my thighs comfortably, they are really HUGE. How do you find non airtight pants that don't leak? Sometimes my bowels act up and I have the runs for several days at a time, but mostly I'm just urinary incontinent. That too is a transitory thing that seems to happen whenever my meds get adjusted, then it settles down again after a few months. Fortunately, it's winter time and that is more comfortable- summer in a wet diaper isn't fun for me. I'm unsure about the whole diaper bucket thing, as we haven't explained this to the kids yet, and it will be harder to hide a diaper pail from the kids & housekeeper than just emptying the bathroom trash every morning. How do you keep that discrete?
  7. My incon has returned (temporarily I hope) and I am tired of all the disposables I go through in a week. Huge amounts in the trash, and all those trips to the car at work. At least I have a use for all those plastic grocery bags again. So my wife asked me about using cloth, and I haven't a clue. Seems more degrading to me than what I have now, but if it's cheaper, I guess I can live with it. So here's the questions for those who have made the switch... How bulky are they for daytime use? How absorbent? Can I get one or two to last a whole day in the office? How about at night? Are they comfortable? or will I feel wet all the time? How many do I need to start with? Prefold, flat or contour? Anyone ever sew their own? Seems much cheaper to me.
  8. Lexus LS, Honda S2000 Both designed AND built in Japan.
  9. Washing the dishes after dinner. Walking out into the cold winter air. Rain. Too much beer. Or wine.
  10. I have used both XP Medical, and KCK Medical. Both send my deliveries in discrete boxes with no issues whatsoever.
  11. Try Euron Form or Tena Fit, you should be able to get either of those in the UK.
  12. I am incon due to prostate issues. I was a DL in my teens. Now I have to wear 'most all the time, and I'd gladly give it up. Yes, there are times when it is mildly convenient (like the long restroom lines during the 7th inning stretch), but all the expense, smell, extra trash, and hassle just isn't worth it. However, having them on right now gives me an extra measure of confidence when I can't trust my body to behave. I am having that laser "peter-rooter" treatment done at the end of June to help with this. Let's hope all goes well, and I can be out of these for good.
  13. I have used the Overnight Mediums and find them too snug for my 36 inch waist, so they may be a good fit for some of you that normally take a Small.
  14. I live in Western Washington- 4 1/2 inches of rain yesterday! Hearing the rain never bothered my IC, but getting wet does. If I get too "rained upon", then I get an extra wet zone under my jacket. (blush) Of course washing the dinner dishes will do the same thing quite often.
  15. I bought a case- figured it would perform like the X-plus. Not even close. Leaks like a sieve- no better than Depends IMHO. Also very small- I have a 34 inch waist and mediums fit me _VERY_ _SNUG_. Yes, they hold more than a teaspoonful, but certainly no more than 8 oz. Not the 42oz they tout. Kinda pisses me off.
  16. I use disposables, going to cloth is not going to happen. Day time use: Very absorbent in the middle, soft on the skin, doesn't clump up or break apart. (I'm active, and Abenas seem to be designed for folks in wheelchairs) Easy to change- pullups just don't work- taking off shoes and pants is a PITA. Current favorite is Molicare, the light uprple ones, whatever that is. Night time: Bulky is OK here- Abena is great.
