  1. When did the school system stop teaching grammar and spelling?
  2. I have a 34-35" waist, and I picked up some Underjams the other day. They fit, though rather short (as expected) in the crotch area. They also have a tendency to tear after a while of wearing. More like wearing through than tearing though - so it's gradual. As for absorbency, kind of what you would expect for something advertised for 85lbs. (and I weigh 200+). For comfort, they are very stretchy, but they fit rather comfortably, amazingly. Other than that, the novelty is neat for me, but I don't think I'll buy any more. (Unless they make larger ones). Just my $0.02
  3. Wow, we're up to five NBers. I'm impressed. There must be more out there, though.
  4. Private systems here (In NB, Canada), for most things, aren't available. Some specialized clinics are popping up (MRI, Ultra Sounds, etc.) but there is a very strong political and non-political resistance to private (two-tiered) medical systems. The truth of the matter is, if you stay here you get the same level of medical attention. If you can afford to, (if you feel the wait is too much here, for example), you could go to the US. You may get faster service, but there are no guarantees of getting better service. I will admit, though, that depending on your insurance coverage through your employer, you may get a better room (private/semi-private), and some other perks, if you have to go to the hospital. But strictly speaking, the medical coverage is the same, regardless. Other locales and countries may be different.
  5. We here in Canada have a "free" (read:tax-payer funded public) medical system (medicare), and it doesn't work anywhere near as you describe. Normally one would go to their family Doctor, who would then refer them to a specialist. The specialist will see you and make his(her) diagnosis - then you go for surgery, if required. It is that specialist that sees you that actually performs the surgery, sometimes with the help of another specialist or your GP. As far as I know, most public medical systems are like that. (but I could be wrong) That being said, the system may not be the best (as far as wait times, etc.) but EVERYBODY receives the same level of coverage. Regardless of their wealth (or lack thereof).
  6. Hey Necros, You can also try B4NS.COM. They sell abena and I find the speed and service is amazing. -- Thanks, Langtab, I didn't know about that store. I'm going to have to check it out! Regards,
  7. I'm not amazing with a sewing machine, but I have made a few cloth diapers before. Walmart has a great selection of flannel baby prints, which make wonderful 'outsides' to diapers. I used terry (basically white towels) for the inside soakers. Don't make them too thick, though, it gets awfully hard to sew together. As a pattern, I just laid a diaper over my outside, traced arount it (staying bigger) and cut it out. I even added elastics to the leg gatherings and velcro closures. Fun Fun. Good Luck.
  8. Snow days for me don't happen very often. Essentially, it is at MY judgment whether or not I go to work. I listen to the radio, if I hear that the local colleges and universities are closed AND public transit has shut down - that helps me with my decision. (Colleges and public transit hardly ever shut down around here.) That being said, my boss also leaves it at my judgment, because I'm driving a $20,000 service van with thousands of dollars of stock and tools in it - he doesn't want me going off the road. Canceling school on a day like this was IS a responsible thing to do - as no work is happening anyway.
  9. I believe self-righteous bigots clearly describes these so-called "Christians". Their interpretations of scripture are what they go on, and those are just what they are - interpretations. I have my own interpretation of what a Christian is, and they certainly don't fit the mold. Whether their intentions are right or wrong, I am not the person to judge that. Responding to them is just adding fuel to their fire. People who preach fear, hate and pain are not worth the time of day, and, as such, I will just ignore them and continue on with my 'life of sin'. I say 'live and let live'. But what do I know, I'm just a Canadian...
  10. My wife and I went to a few tattoo parlors before we chose the one for our rings. The artist was/is very responsible when it comes to his practices and what he will and will not do. He is one of the best, if not the best in my area, and as such, we needed to wait over two months for our appointments. What we were told was that he couldn't do the rings all the way around the finger, but he could do the top side easily and that it would last. If he were to do the bottom side, it would wear off within months because of the type of skin it is. Keep in mind, a tattoo ring has to be very simple, without too much detail. Mine is basically a simple two rope Celtic knot with mainly outline and minimal shading. It's amazing, too, how many people ask "is that your wedding ring?". My tattoo ring has held up just as well as my 'pectoral' tattoo, which I got a couple of months after. (He wouldn't do two tattoo's at the same time, in case the first got infected or I had a bad reaction to it. He didn't want two issues on the same body at the same time. I thought that was quite a responsible 'rule' on his part.) P.S. I'm a tradesmen and bang up my hands on a daily basis, if anything is going to wear off a ring tattoo , I think that would be it.
  11. Yeah, gotta love it, eh? We're taking over...
  12. I'm in the Moncton area. About 10 years ago I chatted with and met a couple of local ABDL's. We are definitely few-and-far between.
  13. It's unfortunate about the wet nights, but in the best interest of your artwork and it's canvas it's probably worth it. How many tattoo's do you have now? I've got three, including my wedding band, and I find it very addictive. I find myself drawn to getting another. For the last couple, when I finally decided on a design and location, I waited about a year before taking the plunge. That way I knew they were right for me.
  14. Assuming you've got the rights to the photographs, for a nominal fee you can get your own calendar made at most print shops and photo-labs (even my local grocery store's photo-lab offers calendars made-to-order). That's also assuming that you want the clerk at the local photo place to know your kinks. That being said, I'm sure 'one of us' with an entrepreneurial spirit might venture to have a bunch printed and shipped on-demand. I'm sure there might even be a web-based calendar printing company that they might be able to use to keep things semi-anonymous. Who knows.. I would do it, but I'm just an idea-baby. I'm too lazy to actually venture out and do something like that.
  15. Too much rain gets me depressed. I do usually enjoy the snow, though. I was out playing with my (3) dogs this morning (up to my knees in snow) and than I went and plowed the driveway with the ATV. That's one of my favorite things to do in the snow.
  16. Woke up this morning to alot of snow and it's still storming hard. Pretty much the whole city is shut down, and driving into work would be dangerous. So, basically, work is cancelled! (Along with all the schools, colleges, universities, etc....) I don't know what I'll do today, but I'm sure I can think of something fun.... Anybody else so lucky today?
  17. Kind of reminds me of a Simpsons scene featuring Homer's silhouette in the window of their house dancing while singing...: "I take a whisky drink, I take a chocolate drink, And when I have to pee, I use the kitchen sink. I sing the song that reminds me I'm a urinating guy. ..." What would I do if I didn't have cartoon images clogging my brain.
  18. I don't know about the postal delivery, but with the bus delivery I believe they hold for pickup at the bus depot. Though I could be wrong. If I'm right, though, that would take the worry of them arriving at a time you're not home. Your best thing might be to contact B4NS directly to see what kind of time frame for each type of delivery you could expect.
  19. I would still expect at least a week for delivery, unless you pay for Greyhound delivery like 'thekid1' did above. They ship by Canada Post parcel delivery, by default.
  20. I've ordered from them before. I found that the service was excellent and whenever I had any questions they were answered promptly and professionally. It took just a little over a week for me to receive my products. I live in rural New Brunswick AND I had ordered two cases and a third bag (it came in a box), so I was impressed with the speed. I would recommend B4NS to anyone.
  21. I had sent the PM, I figured DD was a busy person so I was waiting. Thanks! I figured I'm here enough, I should support it.
  22. Sent my contribution! Thanks again DailyDi for all the hard work that you do!
  23. I would be a (Saint Bernard) puppy. Mainly 'cause I get to be one more than I get to be a baby. ...but that's a whole other fetish... Talk about multiple personalities, eh?
  24. First off I must give my apologies that I am unable to post my thoughts as clearly, legible and well thought out as spiderman did above me. I just wanted to send a quick thank you to DailyDi for all the work, effort and money that goes into the site. I don't use the chat feature, but I do frequent the site. I paid the $1 for the verification in hopes that most of it went to the site, not to paypal - a rather meager token of my support. If DailyDi aligned itself with some Canadian vendors, I would use their link as well to support them even further. I don't see the $1 as a money-grab. I see it more as a firewall, keeping out those which you don't want. Once again, thanks, DailyDi! Keep up the good work!
