The nurse gives a sympathetic half smile. "Sure Larry right, I can help. but i really think youre underestimating her ability and that could really stunt her. We do our best but she has an accident like that around some kids they might pick on her." But she remembered she had to think of him as a new dad, super overprotective of his little girl thinking shes a little princess that needs all his help. "But she'll be with you most of the time so don't worry about it and i'm here everyday to give a hand. But if she is a little behind developmentally or struggling in a class spending time in the lower grade classes might be good the kids tend to care less they'll just think shes tall." She takes the pull up from him and heads back to the bathroom to find Sarah sitting on the toilet with the towel wrapped around her. "hey sweetie i'm back are you done or do you need a minute." Sarah shrugs she had taken a full shower and decided to sit on the toilet just in case She still felt defeated she just wanted her life back and for everything to normal but that was looking less and less likely. She gets up off the toilet and wipes her self flushes and goes to wash her hands. Occasionally glancing at the nurse. who was standing patiently. she walks over to her to receive the clothes thinking she would be allowed to dress her self she reaches out for the bundle of clothes the lady was holding. "oh no honey i'm going to help. Your uncle tells me your name is Sarah right" Sarah nods. "That's a pretty name my name is Nurse kathy or Ms. Williams whichever youre more comfortable with." She lays the clothes on a small bench in the room. "I'm just gonna give you a quick look over" Sarah nods again, Nurse kathy checks behind her ears and pats her legs. and checks her feet. She did a good job cleaning herself for a child I just know he's underestimating her. "Alright little lady you look very clean now good job." She picks up the pull up and holds it open for Sarah to step into. "Alright step in. Your uncle says this is new to you so i know its a little upsetting but you have to do your best to stay dry pull ups aren't designed to hold much so when its wet you have to get changed soon. you understand." Sarah nods again, "I'm sorry i just didn't know so much was coming." "I bet but now we know it might be a lot so we need to take precautions ok" Sarah nods, "i understand" she says stepping into the pull up. Nurse Kathy smiles and pulls it up. she decides she can handle dressing herself. She grabs the rest of the clothes and passes it to her. "So we wear uniforms on Mondays and Wednesdays, You'll be in 5th grade more than likely so you'll be in a grey shirt this year and next. You get dressed and i'll wait right here. and we can show your uncle. I'm so glad we could give such a nice man a job to take care of you" Sarah takes the clothes and her heart sort of drops. They're going to put me in school with kids in a uniform, a used uniform at that. I have got to take the chance and clear it up as soon as i get a moment to talk to larry privately. But did she say the job is to take care of me. Oh no am i in to deep. She takes the clothes and begins to dress under the watchful eye of the nurse. When shes done dressing she stands in front of the nurse. Nurse Kathy smiles and looks over the child. In a uniform she could pass for 11 she still looks older in some ways but also child like in others. She was still suspicious but regardless she'd pass in looks or behavior at this points. She smiles and adjust her shirt a little bit to straighten it. "You look great now lets go take you to your uncle" She opens the door and leads sarah out "Everything fits Larry she's ready."

The nurse smiles and shook her head, "Honestly way out here we get a lot of transient kids and kids with no paperwork and being way out here we don't get as much support from the state as we should. But we make due the best we can." She says sorting through a few bags of sBefore locating the bag the held the skirts. "Oh no kids should be with their family as much as possible. as long as a kid is being taken care of and properly trained, no one around here is going to ask to many questions." When she pulls out the second largest skirt she had she holds it up and nods that it should be big enough. "And you said she's only 11 right? she'll definitely be one of the more developed 11 year olds as most of them havent hit puberty so she must've started super early. When she first came in I thought she was a teenager at least. but, her demeanor just now in the bathroom was almost like a small child, poor thing has probably been through a lot she might not be mentally at 11 all the time" She starts to go through the bag of shirts. "She really soaked through everything she needs a fresh shirt too. big bladder for an 11 year old" She pauses, "But i guess trauma or stress could do that to a kid. I guess that could explain some of the bladder problems." her tone shifts to slightly more serious, but realizing he Just got little Sarah he probably didn't know much about kids. so she doesn't want to alarm him but rather inform him with the experience she has. In a hushed tone she says, "But that doesn't explain the lying. and you can't let that become a habit. Now i just met you but i know a lot about caring for kids so don't overthink it. But, she was wet at least an hour ago, she got up to pick something up. And her pants were just starting to be wet and she had to have felt it. But when i asked her if she needed help she said "no". Now i see she was wearing a pullup i wasn't sure she was then but you should let her carry them with her so if she needs to change herself and youre not around she can. She needs to learn some responsibility." She digs through the bag and finally grabs a good sized shirt. She takes both items and turns to him with a comforting smile. "I think you mentioned something about a bladder infection. Now i'm no doctor and we share a community doctor with 2 other towns so he's only here Wednesdays and Friday, so you should probably get it looked at before you come out here. He's a nice guy but he's really only for referrals and prescriptions and the occasional broken bone. But from my personal experience that would explain the steady wetting i saw earlier but not the accident just now." She takes a deep breath putting a hand on his shoulder, "She seemed a bit anxious biting her nails and what not as your appointment went long and when you arrived, maybe she was so relieved that she just maybe subconsciously relieved her bladder as well. However i'm not a doctor. But, if youre coming from the big city you should be able to take her to a community clinic and get her checked out for little to no cost even without insurance." She smiles and moves her hand to his arm supportively and gives it a rub, "But just keep doing the best you can okay, kids just need a safe place and some structure and it will all work out." she reaches in the the closet and grabs some socks and blue jelly gladiator sandals that would match her backpack that she should be able to fit. "her shoes will need some time to dry out. A lot of kids wear uniforms at least Mondays and Wednesdays So she can just keep these so she has a set. Oh and do you happen to have another pull up for her you have a long ride back and if it is a bladder infection she definitely can't hold it that long even if you send her to the bathroom before you head home."

Sarah sobs into his chest for a minute, she wanted to run away all these eyes looking at her soaking wet. The nurse looks supportively at the pair. Regardless of her suspicions right now they needed some help. "hey i didn't introduce myself but my name is Ms. Williams or Nurse Kathy okay. How about i take her in the bathroom and get her cleaned up we should have some spare clothes and such for just this kind of thing. Don't worry it will all be okay." her tone soft. She walks over to Sarah and taps her on the shoulder. "Hey sweetie you mind if i take you to the potty so we can get these icky clothes off you," she says as if shes talking to one of the kindergarten or pre-k students. Sarah just nods and releases from Larry following Nurse Kathy to the bathroom. Kathy turns back to larry. "I'm just gonna get her out of the clothes real quick Then i'll be back I have to get her some clothes from the locker anyway. So you can clean it," She says pointing toward the utility closet on the opposite side that holds cleaning supplies, "or i'll get to it after i take care of her." Sarah goes in the door and its a full size handicapped bathroom even has a drain on the floor and a flexible hose with a shower head. As a school with small children they do occasionally have to deal with these kind messes or worse. A couple seconds later Nurse kathy comes behind her and shuts the door. "hey kiddo do you need a hand," she says reaching out to pull down her pants. Sarah just nods, she wasn't feeling independent or in control anymore. she felt like a child and the gently tone which she was asked made her comfortable. Nurse kathy pulls down her pants and sees she was in fact wearing a pull up. An 11 year bladder couldnt have both filled this and made that big of a mess. maybe she has had it on since last night. She takes off Sarah's shoes and pulls the pants and pullup out from her feet and ankles. After tossing the tossing the pull up in the trash. She sees that even the bottom of her shirt had gotten wet. She returns to her. "Alright kiddo hands up we're going to need to get you a new shirt as well." Sarah raises her arms and as the shirt is pulled over her head and tossed with her other clothes she crosses her arms over her chest as she stands there fully nude except her bra in front of a stranger after wetting all her clothes. She felt embarrassed her eyes began to water and her cheeks flushed red. Nurse kathy looks at her with sympathy. "Oh no honey its okay these things happen its gonna be okay." she grabs a tissue to wipe her eyes. After she does that she puts the tissue in her hand. "I had to get you out of those clothes pretty quick but i'll be back we should have a uniform that fits you so don't you worry okay." She takes another glance at the fully nude child in front of her. She has underarm hair and pubic hair i know she couldve started puberty early but it all just seems to far along for 11 but i'll double check with her guardian Her demeanor does say child though. She grabs one of the towels and wash cloths from the cabinet. She moves her in over top of the drain and in front of the Showerhead. "You know how to shower right" Sarah Nods still unable to speak. "Alright you clean yourself up and i'll be right back." Nurse Kathy says leaving the room She meets larry at the utility closet as next to it is the storage closet where they keep spare uniforms. She grabs the largest one they have. She begins to chat, "Hey sir i didn't catch you or her's name,"

Sarah sat and ate her meal and drank her juice occasionally she would glance up at the clock. she watched as the little boy was taken behind the curtains then the other kid is directed toward the bathroom who's door appeared to be behind her desk. The women appeared to look at her with suspicion but she wasn't sure why. Does she know she wonders. At the 30 minute mark the hurt boy was given a sling and sent back to class. The nurse again looked at her with suspicion. Sarah avoided her gaze and hoped the interview would be over soon. Sarah passed the time by playing with the cards practicing her shuffling and a game of solitaire. she placed the cards on the seat beside her. around the hour mark. She started to worry the interview wasn't going well should this take this long, she wondered. She looked up at the nurse who seemed to be busy with paperwork probably for the student. She suddenly feels the needs pee again. Her leg begins to bounce. She has no idea how long she has, to get to the bathroom. she looks at the nurse again who seems to be paying her no mind. She couldn't risk walking pass the nurse she already seemed to know and she didn't want to confirm it by being next to her. But within a minute she felt another jet of pee go into the diaper. Her bladder relaxed and her leg stopped bouncing. she resumed her game and basically forgot about her pull up it didn't feel any different. At the hour mark the mother of the sick boy came and retrieved him. Leaving just Sarah and the nurse in the office. at the hour 30 mark she started to worry again. and begins to bite her thumb nail for a few minutes What could be taking him so long. She tries to shuffle the deck like he showed her this time and half the cards end up on the floor. she bends over to get them but as her butt raises she feels the cooling breeze that lets her know shes definitely wet she also feels it on her back thigh which makes her think her pants might be wet too. as she's gathering the last couple cards she hers an unfamiliar womanly voice, "Hey sweetie do you need anything or would you like a hand." says the nurse. Sarah grabs the last card and quickly sits back down, "No, no i'm fine just dropped a few cards." She didn't know if it was visible that she leaked and she hoped the nurse was just being nice. But she didn't have another pull-up or anything to change into and she definitely didn't want to walk pass the nurse if it was visible. The nurse had been watching her from her peripheral the whole time though her head faced the computer. Did she just suck her thumb, she had wondered 11 is much to old for that. And with the girl's butt clearly in the air grabbing the cards she could see and even get another clear whiff that the girls pants were damp right around the seat like she had wet and it began to dry. She watches her. He said she's 11 right she would certainly be one of the tallest 11 year olds. not the tallest but atleast top 5 in the school. I'll have to ask again when the man returns. She looks to the bag, either way she is way to old to be wetting her self and not able handle it, let alone lying about it. She should be carrying her own change of clothes and protective underwear. She shook her head and returned to her work. She checked her clock it was taking a while which was a good sign. Most of the applicants didn't last 15minutes. Sarah looked at the nurse, She assumed that it wasn't noticeable because she didn't say anything. so it should be fine. when Larry returns maybe as hes talking she'll be distracted and i can go to the bathroom, but at the hour 45 mark she began to worry again where could he be. every heavy adult like footstep she heard near the door made her turn her head toward the door. She had stopped playing with the cards and just anxiously bit her nails. But at 2 hour mark she heard footsteps, but also a familiar voice talking to another adult voice right outside the door. But simultaneously she felt heavy pressure on her bladder like she had been holding it for hours. Her leg began to bounce drawing the eyes of the nurse. When the door knob begins to turn and a figure she recognizes begins to walk in the door she's relieved and hops up out of her seat. "Youre finished!," she says with almost a child like glee. But then as she stands she feels a warm sensation around her crotch. She stands there frozen as the feeling spreads not only around her crotch but down her leg. she even hears what could be best described as the pattering of water hitting concrete as her now soaked pants and pull up allowed pee to just drip onto the floor creating a huge puddle. Mortified she looks down with shame and embarrassment she watches the puddle grow until she is finished unable to move from her position.

"I'm fine go do the interview okay you don't have to worry about me i just want to eat my food." She also didn't want him taking her to the bathroom everything was already weird enough as it was. She knew the diaper was a bit wet but she figured it should last. She only had one job she ever had to interview for, and that was the Retail job she had lost prior to being homeless and that took maybe 15minutes. Every other job was given to her by friends of her dad and rarely took more than 20minutes as it really was mostly a formality.

"I said i'm fine, i dont need to go we have time." she turns abruptly toward the stand and begins to look at the menu. It takes a couple minutes She sees a breakfast sandwich she felt matched her hunger and she missed breakfast. "Can i have a bacon egg and cheese. and an orange juice" the man rings up the sandwich for $7 and she looks to Larry to pay. It takes a couple minutes for the sandwich to be made.

She was happy there was at least something to eat nearby. I guess its not a super small town. She followed him to the shopping area. "It's not a diaper," she said with frustration. "and i'm fine i just want something to eat"

Her sleep wasn't comfortable but she was definitely more alert. As she became more aware of her surroundings she wondered if they were near their stop she felt her stomach rumble. She realized she hadn't ate. She had no idea what time it was, how far away from the city they were, or how long it had been since they boarded. she now wondered how long this interview would take. She hoped there would be something nearby for them to eat. But as she stretched she suddenly remembered wetting the pullup. Did he just say something about changing. He cant know that, it was only a little bit, and i'm hungry. She looked around and saw a mostly empty landscape. But as they got closer to the destination a few more buildings appear but it was clearly a small town. He wants to work all the way out here this would be so boring. hopefully theres something to eat nearby. "How much further i'm hungry." she says watching larry still looking at paperwork.

She didn't know how far or when the interview was but his demeanor says they're running late. She feels bad but he never told her when the interview was or how far away. She shouldn't have stayed up so late but he didn't tell her not to. She yawns, "sorry i didn't know." She pulls her jacket over head and tunes out again. I guess if the ride is long enough i can get some sleep. About halfway through the journey she wakes up with a sudden urge to pee. She darts her eyes at larry then at the surroundings. they Were far along the route way further than she had ever been. She watched him, he was still intently studying his notes. She tried to keep her body still she didn't want to bother him. she feels a squirt of pee go into the pull up that for once she was grateful to be wearing. She probably could have stopped it but she didn't see the point. but then she remembers, I need to stay dry so i don't have to keep wearing this. Hopefully it dries and he doesn't notice it'll be fine. if he asks i'll just lie he'll be to distracted to check anyway. she looks around again puts her jacket back over her head and goes back to sleep for the rest of the ride.

She doesn't really process his sense of urgency as drags her feet around the room. She sees her clothes laid for her on the couch she grabs them and heads for the bathroom. she briefly tries to use the bathroom but larry knocks on the door and tells her to hurry up. she groans doing everything with her eyes half closed she quickly takes a wash cloth and runs it over her sensitive regions then. She doesn't think twice when laid among the clothes was a pull up for underwear. she simply puts on the pull up the pants then shirt brushes her teeth. And what feels like Larry repeating every two minutes to hurry up she finally emerges from the bathroom. "I know i know. be early for your intnerviews." she says with a yawn as the rush out the door she grabs her bag and tosses the deck of cards in it. They walk qucikly across the lot to the bus stop. and they make it with just a minute or two to spare.

Sarah shakes off the next couple attempts to fully awake her, but something about the word diaper startled her enough to fully wake up, she stretches her body checking the pull up again. "Its not a diaper and its dry," she grumbles. Every part of her body was tired she looked at the clock 7am she only got at most 5 hours of sleep. she rubbed her eyes a few times. she slowly peels herself from the bed slightly disoriented with everything.

She smiles and waved good night. She stayed mostly quiet for 10 minutes so he could fall asleep. She watched the clock thinking how she could go about telling him the truth. Not having to make decision or work was nice but She knew she couldn't get back home that way and she wanted to go out party, drink, travel. but more importantly going to school again would be horrible kids are mean, and stupid she felt. she finally turned on the tv and cut it to a low volume. She turned on cartoon network to catch the Adult Swim shows like Rick and Morty, American Dad, Bobs Burgers. She also took her phone back out and played a few games. She stayed up later than she should it felt freeing to just be up without Larry's hovering. She doesn't feel the need but decides as the clock strikes 12:30 to head to the bathroom. and to just stay there till something happens. I have to stay dry. Its the only way he'll believe me. She heads to the bathroom and pulls down the pull up and shakes her head I'm wearing a pull up like a child. what is wrong with me. she sits for nearly 15minutes before she hears the trinkling noise shes hoping for. She then felt the need to poop and was able to get that out with ease. Satisfied she wipes and pulls up the pull up and goes to wash her hands. She heads to bed. she cuts the tv off and plays a few games on her phone as she feels her eyes getting heavy she yawns and cuts the phone off and tosses it in her bag again. and tucks the bag next to her on the bed. and drifts off to sleep around 1:30. She sleeps peacefully through but jarred awake by Larry awakening her. She's too tired but the first thing she does is checks her pull up and smirks because she finds it dry.

She bent her down and nodded. And was generally despondent on the walk home. How did he pick me up so easily. how come i couldn't get free. Why is any of this happening. Did he have to bring up the diaper in public what if people heard him. She continues to process the situation on the 10 minute walk she knows she can't live this lie for much longer but she doesn't have a better plan and now where else to go. I'll have to come clean before he tries to enroll me in school. but i don't want to much on his mind before his interview so maybe after. As they walk in the door she is a bit shocked she didn't realize she they had made it back already she had been in her head the whole time. She nods when he says going to shower. and sits on the couch. Once he closes the door she waits a few minutes till she hears the water running. She takes off the skirt and shirt and puts on the oversized t-shirt. She then begins rummaging through her bag. She powers it on and a sense of relief comes over her. she scrolls social media for a few but then feels dejected. None of her so called friends had checked on her in weeks. She sees their post having fun, traveling, shopping. and feels abandoned again. She quickly closes the apps. She plays a few game on her phone until she hears the bathroom door open where she quickly throws it back in her bag and closes it before he steps out.

she flinches as her face seemingly looses its scowl. something in her says that she should cry but she resist that instinct I'm not a baby and he's not my dad, she tells herself. But she can feel her eyes beginning to water. she forces them back down and finally manages to speak. "sorry, i didn't mean it." she wanted to be defiant shes an adult and doesn't deserve this but shes in public and theres already enough eyes on her. She feels the need to tell him everything but this just isn't the time or place. Right now she just wants her two feet back on the ground.

"fine whatever you say sorry," she says with a huff. "Now will you put me down." She felt out of control she wanted her feet on the ground now. and she started to try to wriggle free.
