  1. Definitely thick terry cloth - what I was in for the first 3 years, and have never stopped! The plastic pants make it complete - white, strong elastics and noisy!!
  2. Hi.... welcome to another Brit! LoL... This is a great site, very supportive. Hope you enjoy! Simba.

    Poll 1: Underpants

During the day?? Only have 'adult' underwear at work - at home evenings and all weekend it's cloth nappies/plastic pants! Simba

    Hello

Welcome to the site! Hope you enjoy your time here and make good friends. I know I have!! Simba
  5. Nearly always terry nappies and plastic pants: one thick overnight with two baby nappies folded inside as soakers, and two thinner nappies with one soaker during daytimes. If I have to wear disposables (which I avoid if possible) it's 4 or 5 in a 24-hour period, usually with a mid-night change due to leaks. Simba
  6. From an oldie.... I go along with pipsqueak and tigger: yeah, no wonder! I have met several lovely ladies from chat rooms, online and in person. Even lived with one for 3 years - but she couldn't accept me in nappies so we parted. No other romance has come, but several superb friendships have come along - including one delightful lady who loves to wear nappies herself. Just nothing 'clicked'... I love female company of any age as friends, and one day something more will happen! My tuppence worth of advice would be: be positive, look for the good things in a girl and be true to yourself. Online can also be just as good as at a party or in the office. You never can tell. The joys of life Simba
  7. I could be wrong on this since I mostly use cloth nappies. - but didn't Pampers do 'Goodnights' pullups? ages 4-7, 7-10 and 10 - 15? Or are these the Huggies ones as well? Hope you find what you're looking for! Simba
  8. Changing nappies/diapers is a very personal and intimate action, and involves 'sexual' contact, even just by cleaning/powdering. My response is related to the non-consensual side of the discussion.... I may be an old fashioned lion, but to me this is still 'cheating' even if sexual relations did not occur. It aso makes no difference if one is married and the other is not. I would be most upset if my s/o (if I had one) was changed, seen or 'touched' by another. Likewise they would have every right to feel aggrieved if I went somewhere else for this. It is simply not fair. If all parties involved know and agree then that is their affair. I know that I couldn't agree... and I wouldn't ask a s/o to accept my being changed/powdered so intimately by another, 'pro' mum or not. I just wouldn't do it. My $0.02 worth....... Simba
  9. Yeah I go along with John here.... how come the original post got changed? Now the whole thread becomes nonsense This post should have been left as is and moved to the 'off topic' forum. It would have been an ideal subject for debate...... No wonder some get p***ed off! Simba
  10. Welcome Michelle from over the pond! (though with family in BC) You like hugs??? Well don't be surprised if you get pounced on and hugged in the room. I don't bite, honest! Simba.
  11. Cloth -v- disposables argument does of necessity raise it's head here, Mo, even though you had not intended it! No problem, a good discussion is always welcome. I do however have to fall behind Tigger here... the 'perfect disposable for everyone' is a myth. It is to do with personal preference, body shape, gender, to name but a couple. You can only speak for yourself. Define 'perfect'.... you can't. Simple example (best for lions really)... the disposables I wear are either Kendall Lille Supreme maxi or Abena x-plus and are 'perfect' for me when I need one. AAArrrgh I hear others cry - Kendall Lille leak and are the biggest load of rubbish out.... so what to me is the perfect disposable, my 'holy grail', for another it is an example of purgatory! Nuff sed! Simba
  12. Indeed... what a dangerous thread. ...and one in which I will not get involved for many reasons. I have a question though... why is this in the forum about discussion of our lifestyle? What has it got to do with diapers, the wearing of, wetting of and whatever else for which they may be used? I hope the admins delete or move this thread... for the sake of the boards and everyone's sanity. Simba
  13. I hope the boards are open to anyone and all equally welcome - AB, DL (or NL in UK), 'Parents', Incontinents, 'curious' or non-wearers alike. For whatever reason anyone is here, the only 'ground rule' as I understand it is respect for others whatever their feelings, orientation, habit, opinion or reason. I have met so many great folks on here, and would hate to lose them...... ...or am I wrong? Simba.
  14. LoL... this is the old cloth-v-disposable argument, and for each of us the preference is our own! LoL I was a cloth-and-plastic-pants baby, and I do remember one occasion very vividly (aged 2 1/2 I think) where I was firmly put in a terry nappy and pants as a toddler who was dry by day but wet by night. I also remember being put back in a nappy for wetting the bed (I was 5), along with a firm smack. So yes I prefer terry nappies and plastic pants because I have always worn them from childhood. Disposables are convenient, and they have to be plastic backed and very thick to do anything for me. I prefer a disposable nappy to not having one at all!! Simba
  15. I go along with Daily Di on this one. I always wear cloth at home, and when out and about but only if I know it's not that long before I'm home and can change. Otherwise it's disposables - Lille Supremes maxi or Abena x-plus when I'm away for longer! Simba
