herb330 Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Originally I was placed back into diapers and found it uncomfortable. But after a while it became normal. The easiest way is to toss all underwear away. replace them with diapers. Also have in the open wipes, powder and lotion. That will have the feeing of a full diaper wearer. How have others started the 24/7 experience. 2
technomonkey Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 well i guess that is one way. i kinda got forced in to 24/7 medically, when surgery goes wrong but the DR said its only a temp thing and now 13+ years later nope. Just part of life now. There are time its nice and others its a pain. 2
spark Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 I don't recommend my method, because it was slow. I started to wear diaper occasionally, and then eventually got to the point where I was wearing a diaper. I honestly didn't think about it. I just got to the point where I was wearing a diaper all the time. 3
ValentinesStuff Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 My method was similar to Spark’s, except one day I just realized that it had been months since I worn anything other than a diaper. So I purged myself of any underwear that wasn't absorbent, waterproof or both. 2
Little Sherri Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Yeah, parting ways with my big boy underpants was a line in the sand for sure, although I had been wearing diapers full-time for something like a year before that, in any case. But it was a watershed moment, when I "only" had diapers in the house for underwear. My journey was a hastened version of @spark's - I had been wearing diapers while I was alone in hotel rooms, or when I had the house to myself. Then, I decided to see if I could white-knuckle through a normal weekend, wearing only diapers, while being at home and running errands etc. This was in preparation for a few weeks that summer when I was slated to have the house to myself - I had been contemplating going 24/7 for those few weeks while my family was away. After I got through the weekend, I decided to see if I could also make it work on a weekday, so I stuck with it for Monday... then Tuesday... and, the next thing I knew, it was the weekend again, and I had been wearing diapers the entire time, and there were no seismic shifts, I hadn't avoided doing anything I was slated to do.. it seemed like maybe I could do this? The further along I went, the more unappealing the idea of going back was, and after a few weeks, I gathered up all my boxers and put them in a bag on a shelf in the garage - I wasn't using them anymore. But it took me another year to actually toss them out. Another big step was "coming out" to my wife - it's very hard to have secret underpants when you're married. Plus, I was going to run out of diapers, unless I could start ordering them, which meant weird, bulky packages showing up at the house, inexplicable lines on credit card statements, etc. Up to then, I had been buying them in person at the original Rearz location, a couple of bags at a time, in cash, or, I was getting them from a medical supply place where you could walk in and pay out of pocket. 1
