Chapter 1:

The orphanage was overcrowded and chaotic. It was a small building, more a house, in a decent neighborhood. Marina and Christian hadn’t known what to expect when they pulled into the driveway. In front of the white two-story house was a sign that said, Brighter Horizons Orphanage. There was a large wrap-around porch and the garden in the front yard was only half alive and grass overgrown. It was known that the orphanages were terribly underfunded. The government tended to give all their money to the large hospitals leaving nothing for anyone else.

It was a part of Christian Tischner’s goal to make sure everyone could afford the same opportunities. No littles should have to suffer. No workers should be stressed or overworked. But that was often the case with the underpaid staff.

When the couple got the phone call a week ago, they were taken aback. It was from Marsha Mercer, a woman they hadn’t heard from in many years. She was their designated social worker. When you adopt your first little, it’s the law that you have surprise home checks every three months for up to a year to ensure that the little is being well taken care of. However, because it had been so long since they had a little, Marsha decided to check in, just to make sure everything was going ok.

Their first thought was of Willa, worried something had happened, and she was going to be taken away. That’s what those phone calls usually led to. Their fears, however, were quickly squashed as Marsha explained the situation. A little by the name of Olive May was in need of fostering. She had been the third girl at Little Beginnings Hospital in the Newborn Ward with Lulu and Willa.

The story was devastating.

A friend of Astrid Reichner wanted to adopt her early. The girl was a master at manipulation and had everyone convinced that she had fully regressed. She was released into the woman’s custody but her new mommy quickly learned that she was not the perfect angel she portrayed.

For three years she was abused physically and mentally. Her mommy could not afford to send her back to the hospital so she tried to force her into little space. It did not work and she’s now stuck between a 6-month-old to three years old, headspace, often fluctuating between them. Olive May was aware enough to know that she shouldn’t be in diapers and a onesie and that he was actually an adult. That proved a huge problem because little’s like those, if escaped, could reveal all of their secrets.

Her social worker never noticed the signs of abuse. She was overworked, taking on hundreds of cases that most of the time she’d forget to check in.

When she was rescued, she spent a month at SunnySide Hospital but the doctors determined that too much damage had been done and it would be virtually impossible to regress her to a set age. There was nothing more they could do for her. She was sent to Bright Horizons Orphanage but nobody wanted to adopt or foster her. She tended to lean towards violence when upset and nobody wanted a little that wasn’t fully regressed.

The orphanage was weeks away from sending her to, Henderson’s Psychiatric Hospital for Littles where she’d most likely spend the rest of her life. When Marsha heard of the situation she immediately intervened. She knew that wasn’t what she needed and if they could just find a loving family to take her in, perhaps she could heal. Marsha wanted the Tischners to be that family. They were well off, loved by everyone, and Christian was a miracle worker when it came to littles.

But the couple was wary at first. They wanted to help her but it sounded as if she was too late to be saved. They also had to think about Willa. She was their full-time responsibility and while they were pretty certain that she would never fall out of her headspace, they didn’t want to take the chance.

Marsha remained optimistic though and wholeheartedly believed she could still be helped. The Tischners didn’t say no right away and slept on the decision for a few days before ultimately deciding they’d take her on.

No little should have to suffer.

They made a promise to each other that they wouldn’t let the girl’s care get in the way of their little Willa. They’d make sure Willa knew that she was still loved. They just would have a new family member now. She’d have a big sister.

They sat in an office right off the front door. The sound of crying sounded from one end of the house and laughter from another. Just from their brief moment in the main room when they first entered, they were shocked.

Littles ranging from all ages were crowded in several rooms. There were about forty littles in total that they had seen. The diapers were cheap and the clothes were obviously from second-hand stores. The toys they played with were falling apart. There was the strongest smell of dirty diapers and Marina couldn’t help but cover her nose. The house had definitely seen better days. It looked moments away from falling apart.

They had known that orphanages were bad but they hadn’t expected this. Nobody wanted to end up in one. Littles who were abused, abandoned, or caregivers that had died were brought to places like this. The hospitals were only for the injured and for those who needed to be regressed which left everyone else in the dust.

Most people didn’t like adopting from the orphanages because there was always something wrong with the littles. Most preferred the hospitals because they were all shiny, new, and well behaved. The stigma and bias against orphanage littles and hospital littles was a sad reality.

Five minutes later a stern-looking woman entered the office. She had hard brown eyes, blonde hair cut into a bob cut, and pale skin. She was dressed for a day at the office instead of in a house full of littles. She wore a white blouse (which had somehow managed to stay clean) and blue jeans.

“Thank you for your patience,” she said with the slightest English accent. The woman reached over to shake their hands as she sat down behind the desk. “My name is Anne Marie  Whitmore. I’m the owner of Brighter Horizons. It’s a pleasure to meet you both.”

“The pleasure is ours,” Christian replied.

Mrs. Whitmore curtly nodded her head, sliding over a vanilla folder with papers inside. She was not one for small talk. They jumped right into business.

“I’m not going to lie. I was surprised to hear that you were interested in fostering. I’m aware of your accomplishments and how charitable you’ve been in the past but fostering a little-- especially this little is a huge responsibility.”

It sounded as if she were doubting their capabilities. Of course, they knew that they had their skeptics. Some were determined to paint them in a negative light for every single thing they did, such as donating to charities and exposing Little Beginnings Hospital. Some believed that they had done it just to increase their fame, claiming they had, Caregiver Savior Complex: caregiver’s feeling the need to help sick and injured littles when it benefited them in some way.

Of course, that wasn’t true but it still hurt that people thought that.

“I’m aware that Ms. Mercer has alerted you to Olive May’s issues but inside the folder is a more formal and detailed report.”

They opened it up and to say it wasn’t slightly overwhelming would be a lie. Christian was trained in caring for abused littles and had worked with them before but this was obviously going to be a whole new experience. The first page read:

“As you can see her file is over twenty pages long,” said Mrs. Whitmore. “That’s the reason she’s listed as a high priority little. We will not let just anyone foster her.”

The pages went on and on, going into more detail about her treatments, medicines, behaviors, etc. It would take a whole week to just read through every single detail.

“What did the woman do to her?” Marina gulped with tears in her eyes.

She’d heard these stories time and time again when working with patients but this hit different. It was a caregiver who hurt their little. Never in a million years would she ever lay a hand on Willa. The Tischners didn’t believe in corporal punishment.  Not that they ever needed to punish her but if they did, they’d simply take away her plushie.

That made her upset enough.

“The details of her rescue and past living conditions are all in the folder.” she sighed, sadness hinted in her voice.  “The trauma she’s been through has left her unable to communicate effectively. She’s constantly angry and fights against the regression. If she feels herself start to slip then she’ll begin hitting and scratching herself. We clipped her nails all the way down and placed her hands in mitts. The only effective punishments are time outs when she’s in an old enough headspace and when she is a younger, we take away her plushie--”

“She has a favorite plushie?” he interrupted, surprised. If a little was having difficult regressing, usually the first things doctors did was give them a plushie. It always seemed to do the trick, no one knew why though.

“Yes,” she nodded her head. “It’s a stuffed elephant and it’s attached to her hip at all times. She doesn’t let anyone else touch the thing.”

That was a good sign. Usually if a little became attached to a plushie, they’d quickly fall into their little space but something was obviously blocking that from happening. She continued to tell them about her, the situation sounding more dire as she went on. Marina was starting to wonder if they were the right people for this job. But she knew they had to do it.

“It’s not too late to back out, if you’re having second thoughts,” Mrs. Whitmore stared right at her as if sensing her thoughts.

They shared a glance, grasping each other’s hand and said, “we’d like to continue with the fostering process. You’re not going to scare us off.”

Her lips pursed and her brown eyes assessed them for a moment before saying, “very well. I believe it’s time to meet Miss Olive May.”

Author Notes:

Hey everyone! This is part 2 of Willa’s story. As you can see a new character was introduced, some may remember a brief mention of her from part 1. You’ll see more of Willa in the other chapters and it will be heavily focused on the both of them. Hope you enjoy!

Umm I may have missed something but I'm not seeing part two only chapter 1.

Hi! Chapter 1 is part 2. Sorry, I should've made that more clear. Only the first chapter of part 2 is posted right now.

Enjoying it so far and love that the plot on this one is a bit different. I had imagined that it may have been in the hospital since the changes from the first part of this series (trying to not give away any spoilers) but you took it to a whole different angle. If it would be possible to fit in what ever happened with Willa's brother or if he knew what he was doing, it would be great to give us readers an idea of why, and especially how he found out about a program so secretive. If it wouldn't work with the flow that's okay too, I understand.

Chapter 2:

She heard her enter but didn’t turn around. Her back faced the door and she was curled up in a tight ball, her knees pressed against her chest. Olive May suckled the pacifier in her mouth but absolutely hated it. They had strapped it around her head and the only way to relieve the uncomfortableness was to suck. It only reinforced their thoughts that she was some stupid oversized baby.

She saw the other bab- adults glossed over eyes and infantile joy at the stupidest stuff. They crawled and waddled around in overly thick padded diapers. The workers, not much older than themselves, treated them like they were just incompetent drooling babies that couldn’t even hold a spoon by themselves. Which some of them couldn’t. It would be a complete disaster.

But Olive May could. She went to school, drove a car, dated boys, and was going to go to college. She had a whole life ahead of her and suddenly it was all stolen away.

Her family was stolen away.

She remembered everything and that’s why she could never become the baby they wanted her to be. Though, yes, sometimes she did slip because life was too hard and she needed to escape just for a little bit. But she always came back to her real self and fought harder than before to stay that way.

“Olive May?”

She closed her eyes, squeezing them shut.

Miss Nelly was here.

She was one of the more tolerable workers. She didn’t talk down to her in the ridiculous baby voice. It made her feel somewhat normal.

“Olive, I know you are awake,” she sighed. “Can you turn around please? We have some people here to meet you.”

There were always people coming to the orphanage. Couples wanting to adopt and turn them into babies. But she never let them touch her. They didn’t want a bad little. They didn’t want a little that bit and screamed. They didn’t want a little that wasn’t regressed.

Olive May had a plan to stay in the orphanage forever. The last woman she was with had been cruel and she didn’t want to put herself in a vulnerable position like that ever again. She would never allow herself to be adopted or fostered or whatever these sick people wanted to do with her. She heard the sound of clicks, signaling the covering over the adult-sized crib being removed. Her shoulders tensed. She felt a hand on her back, rubbing in soft circles. Olive May clutched the elephant in her right hand as if it was her lifeline.

Her wet eyes fluttered open. Miss Nelly knelt in front of her, staring through the bars. She had brown eyes and dark and curly hair. Her skin was a rich caramel color and she had a nice smile. It wasn’t manipulative.

It was sincere.

Olive never knew what to think. Nobody was ever sincere. Nobody was ever this nice, there was always an ulterior motive. But so far she had found none with Miss Nelly.

“I know you are scared, Olive,” she said. “Sometimes I’m afraid of strangers too.”

The girl glanced down at the plastic covering the mattress. Her heart thudded against her chest, aware of the people waiting for her. If she screamed enough, it usually scared people away. Or she’d hit until they got the message. It was harder to bite with the gag in her mouth but even with mitted fists, she could still throw a mean punch. She knew what Miss Nelly was trying to do. She was trying to get her to trust her.

“We can never conquer our fears if we don’t try. I know you’re a good girl. You don’t actually want to be mean to our guests. Don’t you want to be Miss Nelly’s good girl?”

Olive May didn’t respond to the question. She never responded and Miss Nelly didn’t seem to mind. She never raised her voice or spanked her. She never was angry… disappointed maybe, but never mad. It had been a month and she was still distrustful of it. She was just waiting for the other shoe to fall and for her real side to show.

“If you can be good for me and Miss Whitmore, perhaps you’ll get a little treat. I know how much you love your fruity water.”

Olive May paused.

She did love the strawberry water. It was a rare treat and something she’d definitely behave for. She just hated how it was always given to her in the stupid baby bottle. Olive May knew she couldn’t hold a regular glass. The first day at the orphanage she tried but her arms shook so bad, she dropped the plastic cup, spilling liquid all over the ground. Of course it only went to prove their point that she was too little for such adult items.

She hated how weak she was.

She hated what the woman did to her.

Heather Grafton was her name.

She refused to call her mommy because she had a real mother. She had a real family that she had not forgotten about and never would.

“Do we have a deal?”

Olive sat up, leaning against the bars. The diaper crinkled with every movement she made, her cheeks flushed pink in embarrassment. It had been three years and she still couldn’t get used to the damn diapers. She wore a footed onesie, plain and pink, against her pale skin. It was the standard outfit for all the girls and for the boys, who were made to be girls (the workers called them sissy babies) in the orphanage. Blue onesies were the uniforms boys wore. Her dark hair was pulled into two low ponytails on the sides of her head and ends curled at her armpits.

She nodded just the tiniest bit, allowing Miss Nelly to lift her up into her arms. She snuggled closer, looking everywhere around the room but at her. The crib was the size of a queen sized bed surrounded by tall bars, bigger than her. It wasn’t tight and cramped. Her limbs didn’t ache after being forced to lay in it for hours. That’s why she didn’t mind the cage (she had taken to calling it) it reminded her of a big bed… just with rails on the side. The rug was brown and the walls were plain white. Besides the closet and rocking chair, a small window was situated above a brown bureau. However, metal bars had been placed over it after she tried to escape. It was just another reminder of her imprisonment.

She never tried again after that.

ooOoo

Olive May was allowed her own room on the second floor, last door on the right. The other littles were afraid of her after witnessing her attack one of the workers. She did not like people touching her and reacted rather… strongly when surprised.

She focused her blue eyes on the setting around them as they left the safety of her bedroom and headed downstairs. The chatter quieted as curious littles watched them go past. They quickly looked away when her glare settled on them.

They finally turned the corner and entered the office. A man and woman turned around at the sound of them and Miss Whitmore gave a tightlipped smile.

Olive May focused her glare on the ground, not wanting to get in trouble. Miss Whitmore was a mean woman. She treated her the worst, trying to force her to be a baby, filling her mouth with soap and water her when she made “big girl” sounds.

The man looked like he had just walked off a runway. Everything about him screamed wealth and power. His smile was big and kind which made her trust him even less. However his wife, she couldn’t put her finger on it, looked eerily familiar. There was a genuine warmth in her eyes which caused her stomach to churn, unused to that emotion. For the first time she was shy, slightly hiding her face in Miss Nelly’s shoulder.

They were probably told that she was violent and dangerous just because she didn’t conform to their sick ways. Perhaps this was all an act and once alone would treat her cruelly. Olive May didn’t know what to believe.

Miss Nelly sat down in the third chair beside them, holding her on her lap. Olive May assumed this couldn’t be comfortable yet the woman made no comment.

“Can you say hello to Dr. Christan and Marina Tischner?” Miss Whitmore’s voice was high pitched as she talked down to her, refusing to speak in a normal voice.

Olive May didn’t respond . Her smile quickly turned to a frown.

“It’s ok if she doesn’t want to talk,” the new woman tried to ease the tension. “We understand, don’t you honey?”

The husband nodded his head, giving her a wink. She raised an eyebrow in disbelief. Did this man think he could trick her? The woman’s gaze fell on her stuffed animal and she held it closer, afraid it would be taken away. She felt foolish, dressed in a onesie and her diaper was obvious. Nobody could miss the large bulge that consumed her lower half. Olive May was just as big as the rest of them but they only saw her as a little girl.

“Does she really need to wear the pacifier gag?” she heard Marina whisperer to Miss Whitmore.

The director nodded her head. “When she learns not to bite or say naughty big girl words, only then will her paci be removed.”

She may have let a couple of f-bombs slip loose before.

Olive May was obviously meant to hear that as Miss Whitmore looked directly at her. The couple shook their heads, glancing at each other. She stared at the man’s shiny patent leather shoes. The woman wore plain sneakers, discreetly expensive.

Olive May instantly knew that they could pay thousands to have her shipped off to one of those fancy etiquette schools where she would learn to be a “good” little girl. The “best” ones were scattered throughout Europe which she had no doubt they could afford.

She’d heard Miss Nelly talking and another worker talking about them. A man named Rory, also a little, had been at the orphanage only a week before being adopted (she liked to call it kidnapping). He was every caregiver’s dream with his big blue eyes and dark thick curls. He was five feet tall and plump as a plum.

She pitied him.

Rory was sent to a school in Switzerland where he’d learn to love using his diapers and would find pleasure in being a baby. The schools were meant for those who had willingly chosen to be regressed but if you had enough money, you could send anyone there (willing or not). The hospitals were for those forced into this life.

That was her second greatest fear; being sent to one of those schools. Her first was being spanked. She could tolerate the diaper, crib, high chair and baby talk but being hit crossed a line. The woman who had her before loved to discipline her. Sometimes it was with a paddle or a belt. Other times it was with her bare hands. She could clearly remember the blood and the burning pain. She told her that she had been bad and deserved what she got. Olive May had begun to believe her but after being taken away, realized how none of it was true.

“Can we have a little bit of time alone with her?”

She looked up, pulled from her thoughts. The man seemed flustered, his hands clenched into fists underneath the desk. His foot tapped against the ground.

“I’m afraid that’s not possible,” Miss Whitmore responded. “Our policy is that no littles can be without a worker unless in their bedrooms secured in their cribs.”

It was a stupid rule. She could take care of herself.

“We only need ten minutes,” the woman pleaded. “We’re both doctors and know how to take care of littles. I can guarantee nothing is going to happen.”

Both women were silent.

Olive May’s chest rose and fell, she didn’t like strangers and wanted Miss Nelly to stay. There were the rare times when she liked the comfort Miss Nelly provided, such as now. She was lightly bounced on her knee, her diaper crinkling, the only noise in the room.

Tears filled in her eyes as Miss Whitmore agreed. She bent down, pulling two objects from under her desk. One was a blue playpen that unfolded and the second was a bucket of toys. She set it up in the middle of the room, dumping the toys in. Olive May whined as she was pried from Miss Nelly and placed into the contraption.

“You’re going to be a good girl for me, right?” she said so low that only Olive May could hear. “Remember our treat later.”

The young girl nodded her head, encouraged at the thought of her treat. The women left, the door shutting behind them and the lady- Marina moved forward.

Olive May flinched back.

A look of hurt spread across her face and she almost felt guilty.

“We would just like to take you out,” her voice was soft. “Can I pick you up?”

Red flags went off in her mind. She could drop her on purpose or force her to breastfeed. That’s what the past lady made her do. She starved her until the only thing she craved was her milk. Olive May didn’t know what her intentions were and she didn’t want to find out.

She shook her head, earning a frown.

“How about we take the paci out then?” her husband hesitantly suggested. “I doubt it’s very comfortable.”

She immediately nodded her head and he slowly moved forward. Reaching into the plastic pen, he undid the strap from her head and it slid out. She stretched her aching jaw, opening and closing her mouth, unused to having nothing there.

They now sat on the ground a few feet away, seemingly out of place. Olive May was protected in the playpen which gave her mind a little peace. She glanced, weary, at Marina Tischner before focusing on the man- Christian. She could deal with him. The woman though… she was too unfamiliar.

“Do you go by Olive May?” he asked.

Olive. She wanted to say but the words were stuck in her throat. She still nodded her head though.

“What’s your buddy’s name?”

She looked at him, concerned. Why did he want to know his name? A thousand bad thoughts ran through her mind. She fiddled with her stuffed elephant named Blue. In her life before, her favorite stuffed animal was her elephant. Then at the hospital, they gave her a new one. It was a link to her past and she’d never forget with him by her side.

“It’s alright if you don’t want to answer,” Christian shrugged. “We have a daughter at home and  I bet she’d love to meet your elephant. She has a stuffed unicorn.”

Did he mean an actual baby or another person like her? It got really confusing sometimes.

She sucked on her bottom lip, looking anywhere but at the two of them. She was known to be anti-social and that usually drove people away. She hoped it worked on them. Olive May did not have the energy to put on a tantrum. Something was stopping her but she didn't know what.

“Our daughter’s name is Willa and she’s only a newborn.” he said. “Do you know what a newborn is?”

Of course she did. Olive May could barely stop herself from rolling her eyes.

“I bet she’d love to have a big sister!” Marina exclaimed. “It gets lonely for her sometimes being with two boring adults all the time.”

Her attempt to get her to smile failed. Olive May sat stony faced, unable to find any joy in this situation. She pushed around the wooden blocks in front of her, unable to do much else with her mitted fists.

The man and woman shared a glance.

Olive May continued to play.

Some people got fed up with her selective muteness. That’s what the doctors had coined it as. There were times when she talked, mostly when angry, but she was usually silent, preferring to listen to others. It made people uncomfortable how quiet she could be.

“Do you have many friends here, Olive May?”

Was that a joke?

“We can be friends if you’d like!” the woman piped up. “I bet we’ll have a lot of fun together!”

She was delusional if she thought they could ever be friends.

A/N: Hey everyone! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing it means so much to me! I love to see reviews, it’s my favorite part of writing so please please leave a comment if you can :) To answer some questions, Part 3 of Willa’s story is going to be more of a prequel of her life before and with her brother. You will find out everything about her family then. I hope that answers anyone’s questions. I’ll update again soon and the next chapter, Willa finally makes an appearance!

Yay for an update! I really like how this story is going. There is definitely conflict and it is different. I like that it isn't just an easy pick Olive up and take her home too. Looking forward to the next updates. The great part about reading a story that is not almost done is getting to give feedback. The bad part, waiting for the next chapter lol!

I've never been sure whether this is set in an alt-Earth or in the Diaper Dimension. There are no references that I can recall to giants or Amazons, so I have been seeing it as a sort of hybrid: our Earth but somehow with this odd adult baby thing being normalized. Is that your intention or am I misreading?

You're not alone. I was in awe of this story when I thought it was in the Diaper Dimension. However, I'm pretty sure it's on Earth in the future. That's the only way to really explain why there's a system for abdls and regression based adoption (kidnapped victims). Plus, yeah, the super strong women and giant medical equipment used to care for adult newborns. That kind of seems like something that would definitely be in the future or something.

Quick question for the author, how come we never met Olive May in the maternity ward? Will there be a flashback from Olive May in her incubator or something like that showing her time with Lulu and Willa? Would explain her past a bit more and her adoption. I believe you said she faked her regression? How did she trick the pediatrician?

If you haven't read the first part of this series, it explains a bit. Without giving too much away, it's a secret community.

Edit: I was thinking of Lulu and not Olive May. I may have to skim over part one and see. Was Olive the second person that was in with Lulu but we didn't really meet?

Hi! Sorry, I didn't respond to this sooner! It's set in present day in a secret community. I address it more in this chapter (trying to clear up some of the confusion). Down below is a quote from one of the first chapters:

"Most patients admitted had no family or weren’t in good standing with them. The Little Beginnings Hospital was for girls ages ten all the way to twenty five. This was a last resort type of place. Troubled girls who had run out of chances with the law, families who were fed up with their behavior, or girls who just needed help to regain control of their lives were sent here to be mentally regressed back to whatever age deemed fit and then were adopted out.

They never saw their families again, instead being taken into the secret ageplay community of Henderson, Washington where they could live their lives and have no care in the world.

The only reason I didn't do a diaper dimension or include Amazons or Giants is because I still don't understand what they really are and I don't want to get it wrong when writing. You will learn all about her backstory and flashbacks in this story and how she faked it and everything in this story as well.

As to answer your other questions, you never met Olive May in the maternity ward because I didn't really have a storyline for her at the time and to be honest kinda forgot about her.

The government secretly sponsored them as a result being the crime rates and mental health challenges appeared to lessen to the general public."

The only reason I didn't do a diaper dimension or include Amazons or Giants is because I still don't understand what they really are and I don't want to get it wrong when writing.

Chapter 3:

“Are you ready to go, Olive?”

She was seated in a large car seat at the back of a car. A pink diaper bag sat on the ground beside her and Miss Nelly had dressed her in the warmest jacket there was. The young girl shook her head back and forth as angry tears streamed down her cheeks. She sucked desperately on the pacifier, ashamed to admit how it relieved her anxiety. She thought that she’d outsmarted the Tischners. They weren’t supposed to adopt her. They weren’t supposed to even like her. But now she was leaving the orphanage and was probably gonna be sent to another hell.

Her third hell.

“Don’t pout sweetie,” Miss Nelly tickled under her chin. “I know you’re not as crabby as you act. You’re just a scared little girl.”

I’m not a little girl! She wanted to scream. Olive May kicked the back of the seat with her velcro sneakers and crossed her arms over her chest. Miss Nelly sighed and rested her hand on top of her head, smoothing out her hair. “You’re going to love the Tischners.” her voice was honest. “I know it may not seem like it now but they genuinely care for you. Not everyone is out to hurt you, Olive May.”

She’d say differently. Everyone had an ulterior motive. There was no such thing as a “nice” person in her mind anymore. So yes, she’d be angry and she’d fight back until she made them see that she was not some toy they could dress up and parade around.

“Can I at least have a goodbye?” Miss Nelly sighed.

Olive glanced at her disappointed face and she almost felt bad. Miss Nelly placed a tiny kiss on her cheek, the only one who could get away with doing that, and said in a stern voice, “I don’t want to see you back here anytime soon! I think you’ll do very well with your new family.”

Everyone called them her new family but they were only fostering her. She’d heard the nurses talking. She would not be staying with the Tischners forever. Eventually, they’d get tired of her and pass her off to somebody else. That’s how fostering worked.

“Behave for Ms. Mercer,” her hand cupped her rosy cheek. “It’s only a short ride. You’ll be at your new home soon.”

Olive May made no acknowledgment that she heard anything she just said. Miss Nelly closed her door and the car came to life. Ms. Mercer sat behind the driver's seat and glanced back with a big smile, and exclaimed, “are you ready, Olive May?”

Her eyes narrowed into slits as she gave her most deadly glare. All the woman did was smile and turn up the radio. Some baby song played that increasingly made her want to jump out of the moving car and into traffic. Nothing was going how it was supposed to go.

Before she knew the car came to a stop in a residential neighborhood. All the houses looked the same, large and made of brick. There was a huge front yard and expensive looking cars in the driveway. These people had money and they could get away with anything. Her stomach rolled just thinking about it.

ooOoo

She was just as she remembered but more cheery… if that was even possible. The house was warm and smelt of cookies and despite its large size, she got a very homey feel. Her eyes wandered over loads of pictures, becoming more nauseous at the sight. There was another girl like her, except they treated her like a newborn. She seemed happy in the pictures and not an ounce of fear shined in her eyes. She wondered how badly she’d been brainwashed or perhaps it was all an act and she was secretly plotting her escape.

Olive May was placed in the living room on the couch. It was large and spacious, the walls were painted a light yellow and a large flat screen tv hung on the wall. The brown couch was lumpy and soft and the white wool blanket was neatly folded beside her. She leaned back on one of the toss pillows and stared at the coffee table. There was a bucket of toys like rattles and a few storybooks. She shifted uncomfortably, knowing they’d probably force her to play with the stupid toys.

Mrs. Mercer handed Marina Tischner the diaper bag and her other bag full of the few items she owned.

“She’s been well behaved so far but I think she was a little sad to leave the orphanage. I believe she and one of the workers were close,” she said. “I’d also check her diaper. She hasn’t used it all morning.”

Olive May scowled. She hated the squishy feel of her diaper but could no longer control when she went. In the beginning, she used the diaper only to trick the nurses at the hospital. If they thought she was incontinent then they wouldn’t give her the diuretics and enemas. She told herself that she would pretend until she escaped and then would re potty train herself. Except, it kind of backfired on her and now she was stuck in them, unable to control her bladder. The file lied though, she wasn’t constipated, she just refused to poop. Now, in order to loosen her bowels, they force fed her mush filled with laxatives. Pissing herself, she could handle but pooping, she’d rather throw herself off a bridge.

Ms. Mercer finally left and it was just her and her new ‘mommy.’ She watched her from across the room before moving to sit beside her. Alarmed, Olive May immediately scooted back into the corner of the couch and the woman froze.

“I… I didn’t mean to startle you.”  her mouth was agape.

Olive May’s knees were pressed up to her chest and her body trembled. She waited for the punishment that was sure to come. She was punished for everything and nothing. A little pee escaped, she was shaking so bad. Her face flushed red, knowing that Marina knew what had just happened.

Heather hated when she flinched away. She hated when she was afraid.

“I’m sure you are uncomfortable.” she softly said. “Can I remove your paci?”

Oh, yes, please! She wanted to say. But Olive May stayed frozen, unwilling to let the woman come any closer. Marina sighed and placed the pink diaper bag on the ground. Her movements were slow and hesitant as she stood up.

“My husband, you remember him right? Christian is his name. He’ll be down shortly with our other daughter. She’s just waking up from her sleep. How about I make you a little snack? I bet you're hungry.”

She got her answer from the rumble of her stomach. Her face turned another shade darker, tears burned at the back of her eyes.

Marina walked through an archway into the kitchen. Even in the next room, she still had the perfect view of her. Marina took out a cup of yogurt from the refrigerator and poured it into a plastic bowl. She sprinkled something on top and mixed it together. She came back into the room a moment later, her eyes tracked her every movement. The bowl and rubber spoon were placed on the table in front of them and she held a bib in her hand.

“I know you’re a big girl,”

She couldn’t sound more condescending.

“But, even big girls make messes sometimes,” she said. “I’m going to help you eat, alright?”

No. It was not alright. Olive May wanted to scream. She cowered further back into the cushion, her eyes ablaze. Marina reached out towards her, bowl in hand, and Olive May did the only thing she felt she could do. With the swipe of her hand, the bowl crashed to the ground.

Olive froze, realizing what she had just done.

“Oh my!” Marina gasped. Her eyes were wide, flickering back and forth between the spilled yogurt and Olive May.

She knew she had fucked up. This was it. This was when she was going to get it. Olive May could practically see the wheels turning in her head as numerous emotions flickered through her face. Her heart thudded against her chest and her hands were clammy. She squeezed her eyes shut, wishing her mind would disappear to the faraway place, whenever she knew danger was near. But the haze didn’t come. She stayed stuck in the present, painfully aware.

“You’re not in trouble.”

Her trembling stopped as she said the last thing she expected to hear. A part of her told her it was just a trick. Another part told her to trust her. But Olive May didn’t believe in the concept of trust.

“Christian and I would never lay a hand on you.”

Footsteps sounded from up above and Christian entered the living room. He paused, carefully regarding both of them. He carried a girl, just a bit smaller than her, in his arms. She was only in a puffy diaper and fuzzy socks. Her hair was dark and curly, kept short like an actual baby and the pacifier bobbed up and down in her mouth. The girl’s eyes widened and Olive May couldn’t hold it anymore. She felt her muscles unclench as she peed, warmth flooded the diaper.

ooOoo

Willa wiggled around on the changing table. She was not in a good mood this morning. Tears dripped down her cheeks as he quickly worked to undo her poopy diaper.

“What’s wrong, baby?” her daddy frowned as she started to cry.

She saw the panic on his face as he quickly worked to finish changing her, retapping the disposable diaper around her bottom. Willa rarely cried, the only times being when she was sick or hungry.

“Is your tummy hurting?” he rested the back of his hand on her forehead. “Perhaps, we should take your temperature.”

That’s when she really started to squirm. She may have taken to her new life with ease but one thing she absolutely still detested was temperature checks. She did not appreciate having the object forced in her bum and while it didn’t hurt, her little mind couldn’t understand the difference between pain and discomfort.

Luckily, he decided against it for now. Sighing, he said, “mommy would be upset to see your tears. Do you want to tell daddy why you're so sad?”
Willa couldn’t respond and even if she could, she wouldn’t know how to describe what she’s feeling. She was just… upset.

“Why don’t we rest for a little bit, hmm?” he undid the straps and lifted her into his arms. She pressed her face into the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent. He smelt like honey. They sat down in the rocking chair, her on his lap as they gently began to sway. He wiped her runny nose with a cloth, the tears still rushing down her cheeks.

“Does Willa have a hungry tummy?” his voice rose an octave and tweaked her nose.

That usually got her to smile but she wasn’t feeling smiley at the moment.

“Or is Willa still a little sleepy?” he pouted. “Because a little friend just arrived, and if you go night-night you won’t get to see her. I think mommy would be really sad. We know how much you enjoy your friends.”

Willa did enjoy her friends. There was Lulu, who while quiet was still nice to be around. There were the twins across the street, Mary and Tina. Mary was a baby just like her but Tina was two years old, just starting to walk. She used to be a baby but her parents decided they wanted a bigger girl. No one knew each other's actual ages and it didn’t matter. They weren’t meant to be big, their other life no longer existed.

Willa also couldn’t forget about her cousins but she only got to see them at Thanksgiving and Christmas. They lived all the way in Parkland, California. She thought that Henderson was the only ageplay community but there were secret places all over the world and other people like her who were regressed. There were schools, and communities, and secret towns.

Sometimes, she would have brief moments of awareness. Her mind was cleared of the fuzz and she could understand what her mommy and daddy were talking about. It’s how she learned everything, but they could tell when she was not herself and was thinking too hard. Her mommy always helped her feel better with milkies. She reminded her of how she was only a baby-- their baby- and that’s all she would ever be.

Her daddy looked down at her smiling but she had missed everything he just said. Her tears had stopped though and she only sniffled a little bit.

“Does Willa want to meet little Olive May?” he tickled her under her chin and her lips twitched at the corners, a tiny smile appearing.

He took that as a yes.

She suddenly knew why she had been so upset as they entered the living room. They stopped short at the sight of the strange girl with her mommy. The girl didn’t look all too happy. She was sitting on the ground, and a big yellow patch was visible on the front of her diaper. She sobbed, clutching onto her stuffed elephant as her mommy tried to comfort her. White stuff was spilled all over the rug. It was her mommy’s favorite. She could not have been happy.

Willa was not the type to get jealous but Marina was hers. She was her mommy. Why would she be comforting this stranger? Daddy said that she was to stay with them for a while but suddenly Willa felt she had enough friends.

She didn’t want another.

Willa screeched, garnering everyone’s shocked attention. Her cheeks turned red and her throat burned as she began to cry. She felt Christian’s heavy sigh, struggling to contain his frustration. All she wanted was her mommy. He seemed to pick up on that as she was suddenly handed to her and carried into the next room.

“Did my baby just want mommy?” she kissed the top of her head, bouncing her up and down. Her cries softened as the minutes passed but Willa was surprised to see the sad look on her mommy’s face. She was never sad.

“That other little girl is your new big sister, her name is Olive May. You two are going to be best friends in no time but right now, she’s just feeling a little scared. She needs a little baby,” she bopped her nose, “to help her feel better. Do you want to be mommy’s helper?”

Could she say no? Perhaps they could send her to Lulu’s house. She bets Lulu would love to have a big sister. They were in her daddy’s office, reclining in his chair. All Willa could do was huff. Marina clearly got the message.

“You’re never like this,” her voice was tired. “Why don’t you like Olive May? I’m sure she’d really like to be your friend.”

Willa was tempted to snort. It was most unconvincing she’d ever sounded. The girl looked about ready to murder someone. Willa wanted no part of that.

A/N: Hey everybody! I’m sorry it’s been kind of a while since I’ve updated. Thank you for reading and reviewing, it means so much to me!

I’m going to be going back to some of the first chapters in the previous story to make it more clear but basically this story is set in the present day but is like secret communities. I didn’t do Amazons or Giants because I still don’t really understand them and didn’t want to get them wrong.

I should update again soon but until then Happy Holidays to those who are celebrating!

Chapter 4:

“You’re not in trouble.”

Then why did Marina and the other girl leave the room? Perhaps the man was the one who dealt punishments. Heather always liked to have control. She liked to humiliate her. Olive May was at a loss of what to think. Christian’s movements were slow as he sat down across from her on the ground. She regarded him wearily, her eyes trained on his raised hands. He was trying to show that he meant no harm.

“I understand that you are scared.”

She held her breath.

“I would be as well if I had to move to a brand new place and live with people I had never met before. No one said this was going to be an easy transition.” he said. “However, we’d like to make the process as smooth as possible but that will only come with cooperation-- not just from you but from all of us.”

He picked a book up off the table that had drawings of farm animals on the front. “This is my daughter’s favorite book.” he smiled. “The cows are her favorite part of the story. Do you know what sound a cow makes?”

Of course she did. Not all of her brain cells had died.

“Are elephants your favorite animal?”

She clutched Blue a little tighter and if he noticed, he didn’t comment. She saw him move forward and couldn’t help but flinch back. Her eyes widened as he froze, not moving any closer.

“Remember what I told you?”

Yes, she did remember. She just didn’t believe him. He may not be angry about the spilt yogurt but Marina was sure to be. Just thinking about her made Olive May nauseous. She didn’t want to give them anymore reason to punish her.

He now sat less than a foot away from her. Her body shook, and a little more pee escaped much to her horror. His eyes drifted down to her crotch, stained with yellow. His nose slightly crinkled, taking in the smell and sighed, exhausted.

“Will you let me change you?” he asked. “I can’t imagine you are very comfortable.”

Olive May knew eventually she’d have to let him because she couldn’t stay in it forever. And perhaps it would be better to let him do it instead of his wife. She was still so uncertain of her.

So she nodded her head. Her eyes were trained on the ground, unwilling to let him see her watering eyes. People made her nervous and that’s when she reacted with anger.

Christian got up, her gaze focused on his back as he opened up a drawer. He pulled out a diaper covered in butterflies and a plain pink changing mat. He laid it on the ground beside her as she quickly realized he was going to change her right there, in the living room, where anyone could walk in at any moment.

She didn’t move.

“These are Willa’s diapers but you look to be around the same size. This weekend we will go shopping to buy you some of your own.”

If that was supposed to make her feel better, it only made her worse. The girl already seemed to hate her and didn’t think she’d appreciate her taking her clothes… or diapers.

But Olive May laid back, hesitantly. She jerked at the touch of his hands as he worked to undo the strap at her crotch. She trained her eyes on the ceiling, wondering why time seemed to move so slow. She expected the cold wipe but it still sent shivers down her spine. The new diaper was shut around her bottom and he balled up the other one.

Already by the look she could tell it was excellent quality. It was fluffier and softer than the ones at the orphanage. Was it possible to feel like she was sitting on a cloud? Because that’s immediately what she thought of. She shifted a little bit, unused to them being so thick.

“That wasn’t so bad, right?” he said as he snapped the crotch of her onesie. “Quick and easy!”

Olive May released a deep breath that she hadn’t been aware she was holding. He was right. It was easy. Too easy. It was unnatural for a person to be this nice.

“Can I remove your paci now?”

She nodded a yes and eyes narrowed, tracking his every movement as he reached toward her. Her body was tense but she stayed frozen, allowing him to remove the strap and pull the object from her mouth. Olive May licked her chapped lips. She opened and closed her mouth, trying to get some feeling back into her aching jaw.

“That must feel better now, huh?”

Yes, tremendously. She hadn’t spoken in over a month and the last time she did, she vowed she never would again. It was foolish of him to hope to hear her voice.

“Are you tired?”

Olive May was exhausted and it wasn’t even lunch yet. She couldn’t go to sleep though. Not yet. Not here.

He could see that she wasn’t going to budge.

“I’m a doctor,” he said. “I know when little girls need their sleep.”

Olive May seethed, her eyes turning dark. She was going to hit something… or someone. He seemed unbothered by her change in behavior.

“I think it’s time for a nap.”

Afterward, he came back downstairs, finding Marina and Willa in his office.

“You put her down?” Marina lifted an eyebrow.

She patted Willa’s back, the adult baby, nursing from her breast. Christian looked on fondly, his body riddled with exhaustion. He leaned against the doorway, rubbing his temple.

“She doesn’t seem to like naps.”

“Are we out of our depth here?” her jaw clenched. “It’s barely been an hour and we're already having problems. She hates me Christian.”

“No, she doesn’t,” he came to sit down beside them. “She’s afraid. The woman, Heather, who had her before, hurt her. It’s normal that she’d be more weary around women. It’s nothing you did.”

“Every child needs a mother-- a real, loving mother. How can I be that for her if she won’t even let me get close to her?”

“It’s going to take some time,” he sighed. “Maybe she just has to see how good you are with Willa. She won’t trust any of us for a while..”

They looked down, realizing Willa had stopped feeding and was now half-asleep. She removed her nipple from her mouth, putting her shirt back on and burped her. Willa snuggled closer, her eyes fluttering shut. “Take Willa. I’m gonna clean up the mess in the living room. The carpet is probably stained.”

“The monitor is in the kitchen,” he agreed. “Olive May shouldn’t wake up anytime soon, she was pretty out of it.”

He carried Willa upstairs, pausing at the room across from theirs. They had decorated Olive May’s nursery the week before. They had bought an adult sized crib, larger than normal so she wouldn’t feel so claustrophobic, a changing table placed in her own personal bathroom, and anything else she may need. They held off on clothes because they didn’t know her size but they were seeing that now it may be a bit of a problem.

When no sound came from her room, he could only conclude that she had fallen asleep. He went the other way, shutting the door shut with his foot.

“What are we going to do?” he thought out loud.

He picked up the pacifier on the table, teasing her lips until she finally let him put it in her mouth. Willa instantly began to suck. She was completely out of it, oblivious to the stress. Christian wondered if she remembered Olive May from the hospital. She didn’t seem to like her very much so maybe they hadn’t gotten along. Or perhaps she was simply confused about why this new person was living with them. There were times he wished she was an older age. It was frustrating, having all of these questions and not being able to get any answers.

ooOoo

“Her name is Jessica?” Nurse Lizzie asked.

“I think Jessy is a much cuter name for a little baby.” Astrid said in a sickly sweet voice.

Willa immediately pitied the new girl. She couldn’t see them but she could sure as hell hear her piercing cries. She was gonna end up with a sore bottom if she continued acting the way she was.

“Jessy doesn’t know how good she has it.” Astrid cooed. “Soon, she’ll have a mommy or daddy who will love her very much. Everything is just very new for her right now.”

Willa shifted just the tiniest bit, whining because of her soggy diaper. The talking stopped and Willa’s heart dropped to the bottom of her stomach.

“I’ll check on Willa,” she heard Lizzie’s voice and her face suddenly appeared above her. The nurse immediately knew what the problem was.

“Let’s get your stinky bum bum changed! You’re a good girl, you know that?”

She rolled her eyes internally but still smiled, knowing that’s what the nurse wanted. However Willa wanted to see the other girl and she did.

Lizzie picked her up and Willa saw her from the corner of her eye. The young girl looked as if she was about to explode. Her face was bright red. She knew mom-Astrid wouldn’t tolerate it for much longer.

ooOoo

Oh my god.

Her eyes flew open, startled from her dream.

It was her. The girl  from the hospital.

Olive May.

No, Jessy-- Jessica.

Jessica was the girl’s name. Her real name.

Willa hadn’t really gotten to know her that well. She had been in and out within a matter of weeks. At one point she thought they must have killed her because of her non stop screaming… and it wasn’t the baby screams the nurses loved. It was the type that said, LET-ME-OUT-OF-HERE-RIGHT-NOW-I’M-GOING-TO-THE-POLICE!

She knew they had all thought that at some point. Olive-- Jessica was almost as bad as Lulu. She had pitied the girl at first, remembering how scary it was when she first opened her eyes, confronted with this new life. But the pity had quickly turned to jealousy. She had tried to suppress the feeling. However watching Astrid, her mommy, take care of the new girl, made Willa more upset than she was willing to admit.

Now, she did her best to forget those days. She had a new mommy whom she loved very much. Her daddy told her the hospital was a bad place. Astrid was a bad woman and Nurse Lizzie… she was a woman who would get the help she needed. But Willa couldn’t help but remember because it was happening all over again. That girl was stealing away what was hers and she was not pleased.

“Why are you awake sweetheart?” Her daddy stood over her. His lips pressed into a thin line, concern shone in his eyes. “You just went night-night.”
She whined, her vision suddenly becoming blurry. To her surprise wet drops trickled down her cheeks and she was quickly in his arms. Her chest felt heavy as she continued to cry, snuggling her wet face into his chest.

He was her daddy.

Hers. Not Olive May’s. Jessica’s or whatever the girl’s name was. Willa would make that very clear. No one was allowed to steal her family away.

A/N: Hey everybody! Thank you for reading and reviewing, it has meant so much to me! I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve updated. I’m so busy with school and it was just the holidays, and I’ve been crammed with stuff. I’d like to update again soon but I honestly have no clue when I’m going to again. Also, I’m going to try my best to start responding to questions in the comments (I know, I’m awful at that)! I know this chapter is a little shorter but I promise it’ll be longer next time!

Even shorter it was still a good chapter. One thing I wonder which we will all find out, is if They will change Olive's name back to Jessica, and let her be older and not at a baby level since she is having such a hard time. Both Willa and Olive have a lot of adjusting to do for different reasons. The progression is at a good pace too.

It's understandable that life can be busy, and when writing isn't your source of income, it isn't going to be a priority. I think we would all rather see something written when there is time, then to read something that feels rushed :)
