Little BabyDoll Christine
Who cares? Why are persons always looking for a medical this or that anyway? Live life; not Agenda Link to comment
Baby Brian
Therapeutic, absolutely. Suckling had been show to reduce stress, blood pressure, etc. Even in adults. Link to comment

Benjamin
I could think of several 'practical' applications for why they are manufactured and sold to the public other than just to cater to AB/DL's: If a caretaker is looking after somebody who may otherwise spill a cup of liquid, or maybe not be able to use a straw, a bottle could be extremely useful. It's an easy to use way of getting liquid to a person, since sucking is instinctive in humans. The larger nipples are useful for providing a calming effect to larger users (older children and adults). Like Baby Brian mentioned, sucking is therapeutic for both children and adults. Little BabyDoll Christine
Back in the DPF newsletter there was discussion of an adult feeding bottle for severe cases and some members thought of using it as a "baby" bottled. It got bad grades Link to comment
