Elfy
So over the last month or so I've started losing control at night... Often waking up and needing to run to the toilet... Within the last week this progressed to waking up wetting or waking up having already wet in the night. I went to the doctor last week who sent me to a specialist at the hospital this week and yesterday i had scans and tests ran on me. The results haven't come back yet but from what I told the specialist he says he expects that ssoner or later I am going to be fully incontinent, he says he thinks I have some sort of degenerative bladder condition but we need to wait for the tests. He's going to get in touch within the week but told me to brace for bad news. I've never wanted to be incontinent and this as been a big shock to me, I don't think its sunk in yet but I feeling really upset right now Just wanted to vent so thanks for listening! Link to comment
jbz2079
It's a big shock to suddenly find yourself incontinent, I know it happened to me just over 8 years ago. I don't want to sound as though I'm belitteling your problem but, there are far worse thing that can happen to you medically and as my uroloigist said when it was discovered that it was for life, no one has ever died from incontinence. Yes, it does take a bit of getting to terms with until you get used to dealing with it everyday but the real test is managing it in the least disruptive way possible and not allowing it to control your life and activities. Keep it touch and let us know how you get on- John. Link to comment
DailyDi
Sorry to hear you are having trouble! It may not be comforting now, but in time you will find that ABDL tendencies makes incontinence much less depressing to deal with. And you do still have non-diaper options if you'd prefer. A Clamp and timed toileting, Catheters, etc... I have continence issues, as do many members, so we are here for you if you need to vent, or want advice! Link to comment

KittenAB
Elfking, for me it was the opposite direction, I found out about AB/DL after becoming incontinent, so at least feel glad you have the AB/DL community to help you now. The best thing is to keep your self esteem up, try not to let it make you feel less of a person. This is why the AB/DLs are so important to the truly incontinent, some idolise us, others just love us, either way it makes you feel better to know at least there are a lot of people who don't think it's strange. Also, you have a place to vent, which is another helpful tool. Link to comment

Losing control is not something to be ashamed of, run from, or hide from. Incontinence will give you a lot more freedom as it teaches you to plan ahead. Take it from someone who has been incontinent all of his life. To me, it is a blessing. It has taught me fine planning and multitasking. It has focused my mind, which has improved my ability in life. To me, incontinence is just a choice of underwear, and has not stopped me doing anything that I want to in life. In life, you only have to answer to yourself, so take the bull by the horns and ? the rest. This is YOUR life. go out and live it. 3 Link to comment
