I would be far more comfortable with this if the group could meet beforehand in a more public setting, like a trip to sea world or six flags, to get a feel for the people I will be meeting before meeting in pritave.

I live in Austin, and this could be a lot easier for me if, say, Lonestar Rail was up and running by now since I don't drive, let alone own a car. That and money's tight for me right now regardless.
