diaperwerx
In-a-gadda-da-vida honey, Don't you know that I love you In-a-gadda-da-vida baby, Don't you know that I'll always be true... Oh, won't you come with me And take my hand! Oh, won't you come with me And walk this land... Please take my hand!!! In-a-gadda-da-vida honey, Don't you know that I love you In-a-gadda-da-vida baby, Don't you know that I'll always be true... Oh, won't you come with me And take my hand! Oh, won't you come with me And walk this land... Iron Butterfly - I have the tape. Yep. Commercial tape cassette....man I was mean to my parents about 8 track...lol That said next up is a true challenge of contemporary composition: When they turn the pages of history When these days have passed long ago Will they read of us with sadness For the seeds that we let grow Link to comment
D_Rainger
Hi, DPWX, you're going to have to give us a little clue. This one is definitely out of my realm. Maybe Dolly would let us Google just a little? Please, please, please? -D_Rainger Link to comment
baby-dandan
Hey Guys!, The title of that song to me is the "Green Fields of France" by the DropKick Murphy's, but I really do not know the history of the song. The name you mentioned is probably the first person to sing that song. I find out some of the songs I listen to are oringinally sung by some one else first, but in most cases it was before my time. Take Care! Link to comment
Romance
*claims!* Splintered piece of glass falls in the sea.. Your Aunt's car. Broken windows, open locks, remind us of the youth we lost. We try so hard to look away from you. We follow on, I steal the sunset. Link to comment
baby-dandan
Now it is time for a little Chrismas music. This is from a KROQ Christmas album: Outside the carolers start to sing, I can't describe the joy they bring, Cause joy is something they don't bring me! My girlfriend is by my side, People on the roof are hanging cicles of ice, Their whinny voices get irritating! It's Christmas time again. It's Christmas time again, It's time to be nice to the people you can't stand, all year I'm growing tired of all this Christmas cheer! You people scare me please stay away from my home If you don't wanna get beat down just leave the presents and then leave me alone! I hope you don't think this means I'm not in the Christmas spirit. I guess the singer just was not. Link to comment
diaperwerx
Near as I can tell it's Blink-182 and it's a cool song. Try this: Remember, Walking in the sand. Remember, Walking hand in hand. Remember, The night was so exciting. Remember, Her smile was so inviting, Remember, And then she touched my cheek, Remember, With her fingertips. Remember, Softly, softly we met with a kiss. baby-dandan
Hello Everyone!, Sorry Romance and diaperwerx, I really don't have an answer for the two of yours. I could guess, but I would probably just end up making a fool of myself! Hey let's keep the Christmas spirit going! Another one from the KROQ Christmas album; The snow is falling down up in some northern town, but the Carolina Christmas is still the best around! Wrap up your teddy bear hang your stocking up with care, It's the Carolina Christmas we're chilling in our underwear. Well, Old St. Nick's got a bag of tricks, and he's coming round after while. This must be his favorite house, Cause we always do it up in style! Grandma's got the fiddle, and grandpa's got the bass. When it's Christmas in Carolina, It's Christmas all over the place! diaperwerx
A new Christmas Tune: SAVATAGE LYRICS Believe (1998) [Taken from Streets] [Music & Words: Jon Oliva, Criss Oliva, Paul O'Neill] So after all those one night stands You've ended up with heart in hand A child alone On your own Retreating Regretful for the things you're not And all the things you haven't got Without a home A heart of stone Lies bleeding And for all the roads you followed And for all you did not find And for all the things you had to leave behind I am the way I am the light I am the dark inside the night I hear your hopes I feel your dreams And in the dark I hear your screams Don't turn away Just take my hand And when you make your final stand I'll be right there I'll never leave All I ask of you Believe Your childhood eyes were so intense While bartering your innocence For bits of string The grown-up wings You needed But when you had to add them up You found that there were not enough To get you in Pay for sins Repeated And for all the years you borrowed And for all the tears you cried And for all the fears you had to keep inside Yeah I am the way I am the light I am the dark inside the night I hear your hopes I feel your dreams And in the dark I hear your screams Don't turn away Just take my hand And when you make your final stand I'll be right there I'll never leave And all I ask of you Believe, yeah I never wanted to know Never wanted to see I wasted my time Till time wasted me Never wanted to go Always wanted to stay 'Cause the persons I am Are the parts that I play So I plot and I plan Hope and I scheme To the lure of a night Filled with unfinished dreams And I'm holding on tight To a world gone astray As they charge me for years I can't pay I am the way I am the light I am the dark inside the night I hear your hopes I feel your dreams And in the dark I hear your screams Don't turn away Just take my hand And when you make your final stand I'll be right there I'll never leave All I ask of you Believe Believe Link to comment
DollyDiaper
It kinda spoils the game when you give the answer before you ask the question Cliff! Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way. Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way. Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain. You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time. Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The time is gone, the song is over, Thought I'd something more to say. Sunshine2585
Since this is the first time I have posted lyrics in this thread I decided to go with something random. And sorry that it isn't a Christmas song. You got to go dig those holes, With broken hands and a' withered souls. Emancipated, for all you know. You got to go dig those holes. Take a bad boy, Make him dig 5 feet. The dirt in these shovels will give us a beat. OK, ya gotta find somethin' never found before. If not, you'll just have to dig s'more Wake up in the mornin' Before the sun. Keep diggin' them holes, 'Till the day is done. Wake up in the mornin' Before the sun. Keep diggin' them holes, 'Till the day is done Link to comment

Guest diamondback688
yay...here are my lyrics: All around me are familiar faces Worn out places, worn out faces Bright and early for their daily races Going nowhere, going nowhere Their tears are filling up their glasses No expression, no expression Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow No tomorrow, no tomorrow And I find it kinda funny I find it kinda sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles Link to comment
