I'll be sure to watch the news to laugh at you paranoid selfish racists and your little "march." As for the LGBT march the day after, rock on!

"Paranoid selfish racists"?!?!?!?!

Who the hell said anything about race in this thread? So you are saying that ANY white person who disagrees with anything Obama has said or done, that person is a racist? What planet are you from?

I am extremely f'ing sick and tired of all the democrats who scream "RACIST" the moment any white person says anything about Obama (or any other non-white person), even when NOTHING WAS SAID REGARDING RACE! Sounds to me like YOU are racist against whites... Which is kinda funny, seeing as you are white (according to your avatar pic). Aren't you forgetting, he's only HALF black, because he's also HALF white...

I do not, nor have I EVER in my life, formed opinions about people based on the color of their skin, I based my opinions on the things I hear them say and the things I see them do. I am white and have had long-term friendships with many non-whites in my life, while at the same time have seen many whites who were not worth my time knowing because of their attitudes...

I do not like the things Obama has done during the election months or since he won the election. He has done things NO PAST PRESIDENT-ELECT OR PRESIDENT HAS *EVER* DONE! His little "Office of the President-Elect" was STUPID BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH THING! Until the Inauguration Ceremony, the President-Elect HAS NO POWER OR AUTHORITY!

He LIED in all his campaign promises... He promised "change" in Washington, he promised "no more 'politics as usual'", he promised bipartisan cooperation.

And what has he done so far? No changes to anything happening in Washington... His ENTIRE cabinet is full of his DIRECT SUPPORTERS and members of the Clinton cabinet, with only ONE SINGLE SOLITARY REPUBLICAN IN A POWERLESS POSITION. How is that "no more 'politics as usual'"? It f'ing ISN'T!

The attack dogs of the democrat party (in the media and in government positions) have spent WEEKS playing the race card, even when THERE WERE NO RACIAL COMMENTS MADE! And there have been almost ZERO racial remarks made by Republicans.

Where is the screaming when democrats make anti-white racist remarks?

Where is the screaming about blacks making anti-white racist remarks?

Where is the screaming when ANY non-white race makes anti-white racist remarks?

There is no screaming because the democrats have a double-standard, where non-whites can be rude to whites all they want, but a white person being rude to a non-white person is instantly accused of racism.

Have you ever heard of a federal law called Affirmative Action? That is GOVERNMENT APPROVED AND MANDATED ANTI-WHITE RACISM! I have watched fully qualified white people (including myself) denied job applications or promotions while those positions get handed to under-qualified non-white people.

Did anyone pay attention to the case involving the firefighters in New England? The group who took the exam for promotion eligibility but where summarily DENIED the promotions because (and this is a direct quote from the story) "not enough non-whites were eligible for promotion"... That was anti-white discrimination/racism! And to top things off, Obama selected Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, even after she PUBLICLY AGREED with the people who said that the white firefighters couldn't be promoted because not enough non-whites were eligible. A Supreme Court Justice is supposed to be IMPARTIAL, but SHE PROVED HER ANTI-WHITE RACIST VIEWS!

I will say it again, I do not like Obama, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin. If we had a white President who did all the same shit that Obama has done over the last year or so (since becoming a candidate, before the elections) I'd be pissed off at him too. My opinion is based on what he has done (or not done)... And don't give me the shit line of "He's only been president for 7 months"... In that 7 months he has spent MORE tax money than ALL THE PAST PRESIDENTS *COMBINED*!

Oh STFU

Take your own advice. There's this nice little thing called Freedom of Speech which means I can speak my mind any time I choose to.

Then again, since you list yourself as being from Chicago, it makes me wonder if you voted for him...

That response is so typical... Rather than discuss or debate the topic at hand, the Obama lovers just tell people to "shut up" or start making personal attacks against their opponents...

I just love political discourse. It brings out those with opposing views, allowing an informed exchange of ideas and better understanding ...

... of why we need to stop subsidizing the bottom end of the gene pool.

Obama made all the right promises to get elected but only a slim margin of people voted for him over the other candidate, who was not a conservative and not the best candidate for the job.

I read an article today that said it would have been better off for the government to have paid EVERYONE's mortgage for six months at a cost of just over $500,000,000,000. That is several hundred billion less than we may have already spent and would have certainly got the economy jump started and the banks would not have been in trouble.

No president is a saint, they can't be and run a superpower. However, I take issue with the head of the country unilaterally going against every single thing I believe in. I believe the constitution says what it means and means what it says, he does not. I believe terrorism is a problem that requires harsh action against the enemy, he doesn't. I believe I pay too much to the government already for no good reason, he certainly does not. I believe charity begins at home and Mr President donated 2% of his sizable income to charity, which in dollars is less than I contributed. I think I am a better judge of how to spend my money than he is. I do not believe the government should be involved in day to day life and certainly should not be in charge of non-governmental things such as the bank bailouts, takeover of GM and definitely not the takeover of healthcare, where a man that has never ran anything but a campaign should never be. I know Britain and Israel are two great American allies and he has snubbed them. I know he has coddled dictators and despots (North Korea, Venezuela and Iran) while chastising a democracy obeying their constitution (Honduras).

The man is no less than the second coming of Vladimir Lenin! May his reign be short and forgetful!

This could be the one Nostradamus foretold but I don't believe in that crap.

Just pick up you diapers as you pass by my condo...that's all I ask :P

...and remember, that one of the things that makes this country great is that everyone can have a different opinion and express it in any non-voilent way they wish. Remember the Natzi party rally in Chicago in the late 70s. The Supreme Court allowed them to peacefully demonstrate and use their First Admindment Rights. Ergo, everyone has the right to protest for or against whatever they want. Think of how many countries that isn't true!!

(Just some food for thought)

So..you're going to protest against free national health-care for every US citizen?

That seems a bit weird to Puddin' o_o

First of all, it's not "free", it would be paid by everyone's taxes... The taxes from your paycheck (if you were an American) would pay for healthcare for me, your neighbor, people in other cities/counties/states, etc... And think about this: since your money is being used to cover other people, they could be having procedures you don't agree with (like abortions) using YOUR money paid into the system...

Second, the government already has 2 healthcare plans that are a MESS: Medicare and Medicaid... Both of which are failing the people they are supposed to be helping. People with either of those plans have to wait for certain types of services, and for some services have to drive to other cities or counties just to get treated since many private doctor's offices refuse to accept those plans. The government has a really long history of delaying (or denying) payments to the doctor/specialist...

Third, the only bill out there right now (House bill HR 3200 - which was written by democrats) places major restrictions on the amounts doctors can charge (and therefore earn as profits after their expenses are deducted) which will cause MANY doctors to close their offices and will also cause college (or high school) students to choose other job fields because the starting costs (student loans) for medical school would be far above the possible income they could make with a medical degree.

Fourth, it has been PROVEN that a LARGE portion of the "uninsured" people WILLINGLY CHOOSE NOT TO CARRY INSURANCE... Part of them are college kids who just finished their degree and think they are healthy enough they don't need insurance, and the other part being the "rich" who don't NEED insurance coverage because they can afford to pay CASH for any medical work they need.

Fifth, the largest portion of the "uninsured" everyone talks about are ILLEGAL ALIENS WHO DO NOT BELONG IN AMERICA, AND SHOULD HAVE NO RIGHTS FOR ANYTHING PROVIDED BY THE GOVERNMENT SINCE THEY ARE NOT AMERICAN CITIZENS!!!!!

And finally, the remaining portion of the "uninsured" are people who miss the eligibility limits for either Medicare or Medicaid by either a few years in their age or a few dollars in their income (like me, I'm currently unemployed and having difficulty getting a new job... I'm receiving unemployment benefits, but my unemployment rate is over the limit for Medicaid by only about 15 freakin' dollars... is that fair?).

How about instead of adding a 3rd EXTREMELY BLOATED program into the picture, people review the real picture of things and fix the problems with what already exists? You can't fix a mess by throwing more mess into it (try it with your bedroom or livingroom and you'll see what I mean), the way to FIX a mess is to examine the cause of the mess and CLEAN IT UP!

House bill HR 3200 is not about "reform" or about "free healthcare for Americans", it is entirely about GOVERNMENT CONTROL of the healthcare system (because it will tax ALL the insurance companies out of business - adding more unemployed people to the mess we already have - until the only healthcare plan left is just the one offered by the government and paid for by our taxes) while all the "fat-cat" politicians in Washington have a "Super-Platinum" mega healthcare plan also paid for by our taxes but which gives them MUCH BETTER SERVICE THAN WE WOULD EVER GET!

Why shouldn't the money I pay into the system be used to help others? What if I injure myself in a period where I'm between work; or if I become unable to work due to an illness that may be miraculously not covered under the stupidly complex rules of HMO's? The money I pay into taxes funds the Police; but that doesn't mean I use the services of the Police Department every day; or even often! Same goes for The Fire Brigade; and the Roads & Transportation Authority. I don't drive a car and I haven't had my house on fire; ever. But I still pay into this. Why should health-care be any different?

Second, the government already has 2 healthcare plans that are a MESS: Medicare and Medicaid... Both of which are failing the people they are supposed to be helping. The thing is; once there's a proper Universal Healthcare system in place ~ it's just that; Universal. Doctors will be paid the same amount weather you're under a private HMO or paid for by the universal healthcare system. The problem with the system as it is, is that it favors those with Private Insurance and leaves anybody else out in the cold. A universal health-care system like the one in my country means everybody gets the medical care they need. Yes, sometimes there's a wait; but that's just like the triage system in an emergency room - it's not about first-come, first-served; it's about who needs it most.

Doctors in Australia are quite well regarded in the world eye; and our health-care system is predominantly based on Universal Healthcare. We have Private Options; but that's all they are ~ options. My therapy, HRT and any surgery that is referred to me by a doctor for the sake of my health is all free from charge. Doctors aren't fleeing Australia and we're not in the midst of a drought of health-care professionals, soo..

What about the single mother with three kids who works her butt off to just make ends meet? Or the disabled man who can barely make living expenses? Or the family that struggles between one income bracket and a higher one which would give them HMO coverage but would leave then too little money to pay for more pressing issues; such as food an education? Nobody chooses to be a battler; but some people are cast into that role by circumstance. Saying that "most people choose not to have insurance" is just ignorant and presumptuous.

Every human being has the right to good health. Or do you decide who is "more human" than others? I have to wonder when the search for the almighty dollar superseded the Hippocratic oath..

In 1976 I was 19 years old.

A progressive politician ran for President. His name was Jimmy Carter

I drank the political kool-aid and voted for Jimmy Carter because Jimmy promised "change"! Jimmy Carter kept his word. We got "change"! We got double digit un-employment, double digit inflation and double digit interest rates. I thought I got a great deal on my first automobile loan. (16 percent or there abouts)

I see history repeating itself.

I thought I knew everything at 19. Jimmy Carter was my mistake and he was a mistake for America. I learned from my mistake.

I'm a little younger than you but I also remember the Iranian hostage situation on top of all that. Iran is making a comeback and North Korea is adding to the flames. Obama is a weak president and our enemies know it and our allies fear it, which is the opposite of how it should be!

Only 416 days until the conservatives take control in the houses of congress!

I remember the hostages. Reagan was just sworn in and within hours, the Iranian hostages were released. I remember Reagan debating Carter on TV. I remember this quote from Reagan : "I will not elaborate on my plan of action but one thing is for certain. The Iranians ain't gonna like it"!

I was sitting in the Congressional gallery this morning listening to special orders. When the "progressives" spoke I had to leave. I didn't want to puke in the House of Representatives.

There will be a patriotic march down Pennsylvania Ave on 9-12.

There will be thousands protesting Obamacare and "cap and trade". (It should be cap and tax)

Anyone concerned about America's future should attend and make their voices heard.

I will be there.

The other networks are so freaking liberal that there is no middle ground any more. Every other network is Obama's lap dog, doing what they are told. They quietly glossed over the Van Johnson resignation. A man that could never pass a secret service background check had the president's ear in matters of the environment and he IS a 9/11 Truther!

They reported that at one of the Obama appearances a man was walking around with an AR-15 slung over his shoulder. There were references to rednecks and such but they never even hint at the real truth. The man with the weapons was a black man! Talk about fair and balanced from the major media outlets. CBS finally has a web article up but few TV news reports denote the man was black.

Well 1,600,000 agreed with me. It was wall to wall people on Pennsylvania Ave.

The media says "tens of thousands"! The police estimate is 1,600,000.

Fox News reports the news. The rest of the networks are controled by our asshole president. I already see the media spin taking place. I was there. If there is another such event, I will be there.
