babycro
I'm curious to find out how many people here are from the Midwest. I'm specifically from Indiana, and I've talked to a couple of other people from Indiana as well, but just curious to know how many people live in the Midwest. Link to comment

Just outside of St. Louis on the IL side, here. A culturally devoid wasteland slowly being overdeveloped and underfarmed in favor of the culturally devoid yuppy menace who want to move out to the country but then can't handle it that the roads are too narrow and windy for their Urban Assault Vehicles, the farms smell too much for their scented candles, and there ain't a fucking gas station or strip mall every quarter mile where their obnoxious brats can hang out. (i.e., who then can't handle that the country they moved out to is too country). But then, I just hate watching decent farmland/woodland being destroyed for yet another tract of cloneville housing that starts in the "Low 200's!!" when the nearby towns have plenty of housing that nobody wants to buy. Dark_Diaper_Crow
i know what you mean floaty. there is ALOT of space IN THE CITY and alot of housing. I mean wouldnt it cost more to build NEW housing than it would to jsut repair what there already is? Hell why not take all the run down burnt out (or burnt down) factories in the city and i dunno demolish them and put up housing there??????Or put up new business for people to work at so they could at least AFFORD the friggin housing?!?!?!? jenniebear
Daddy and jennie are on Illinois side of the Mississippi river...lots of corn and piggies and a few cows .... we are rural too....very rural... I always wanted to live in the city when i was a kid and actually did live in a couple of small cities for a while....but now....i am growing a real appreciation for this quiet little town...where neighbors are friendly and helpful....the streets are quiet and tree filled....the houses are old and for the most part well maintained....by people who also appreciate the rural life....sure there are a few close minded people and a lack of cultural things to do....but there are closed minded people wherever you go.....and W/we can always visit the city.... Don't know of any get togethers in the area...but might be willing to do a weekend trip to participate in a get together if anyone got one up and going.... The pic is from an local afternoon canoe trip last summer.... and we loved visiting Indiana last summer...canoing....and visiting all the covered bridges...it was very pretty and relaxing.... jennie Link to comment

diaperdanger
Hi everybody. This is the first time that I have come across this topic but I am a Hoosier along with trace, Inuyasha, and all the others. Right now I am in Bloomington going to school but I'm moving next week. I'm either going to live in Indy or back here in Bloomington in August but I don't know for sure right now. During the summer's I visit Fort Wayne and Muncie a lot so I am usually always out and about. Send me a pm if anyone's interested in meeting a DL only 20 yo male. Link to comment

When you're young, all you want to do is to get out and explore the world and see what there is to see but as we grow up we want to have our own space and be able to do what we want. Link to comment
iudico
I'm from STL too, IL side. I don't know what's up with all the hating on it, though. As a military brat i've found it to be one of the best places i've ever lived. There's so much cool stuff to do around here, i've found. Link to comment
