Bambino Diapers In Stores?

Recommended Posts

I usually order my diapers through an incontinence supply store near me. I know bambino diapers are made specifically for ABDLs, but does anybody know if incontinence supply stores know of them or can get them?

Not only that but they would buy at your price, and then you would have to buy at theirs...makes no sense. Just order from them directly, a couple of posts on here on how to handle the privacy and credit card issues if thats a problem.

I think Bambino could market to the incontinent community however they would

1) have to rebrand (no one will buy an adult diaper with a baby name)

2) sell only the Bianco line

However I think it would sell if they marketted it as one of the most absorbant brands on the market.

Maybe a fetish store could be convinced to sell them? But it's unlikely that more conventional stores would carry them, given that the general idear is that most people want discreet incontinence products that distance themselves from diapers as much as possible...

I VERY highly doubt you will EVER see bambinos on store shelves. Like mentioned above, im sure within time a few fetish shops may have a few bags on the shelf, but thats probably years away yet.

If he can buy diapers down at the pharmacy, why not just order them from bambino?

I think they could be put on shelves personally. I mean the name is "Bambino Diapers" not "Adult Baby Diapers"....I mean...I don't know. I think they would be successful if they were put on shelves but its just a matter of getting the retailers to actually put them on the shelf. I think they would sell like wildfire though.

Enough people know a few words of Italian that that would not work. I have heard that the local kinky stuff store has AB clothing. Never been down there myself though.

I would have to agree with adriansurley on this one....think about it most of the people that are incontinent in aisles of drug stores are usually older people maybe they would like to get something to make them feel younger...I mean the general public probably wont know the diffrence anyway look down the aisle at a drugstore there are so many diffrent brands of pullups abena attends etc..Who would notice a couple packs of bambinos probably just people like us

seriously have you all forgotten they are relabeled personal secure xplus diapers????

I'm surprised that so few people know this. I guess it goes to show you that SecurePlus weren't marketed very well as so few people have tried them. I was under the impression that Bambino was having SecurePlus make their diapers before reselling them but now I see that they are the exact same company (same address).

At least SecurePlus had the smarts to reinvent themselves and/or create a niche product that seems to be literally selling off the shelves (seems to be sold out quite often). Secure X-Plus, on the other hand, is usually available.

I would love to see Secure Plus in stores and maybe even their X-Plus. I guess their margins are a lot better distributing their products on their own.

I don't doubt this however I think it's more a case of 'based on the X-Plus' rather than 'the same as' . When I opened my first bag of Bambinos, the similarities were obvious. The fact that both company's mailing addresses are in the same mailbox block is pretty much confirmation of Bambino's 'heritage' IMO. That said, Bambino do have a superior product to the Secure X-Plus. They have higher absorbency without doubt and for some at least, the design is something that improves and differentiates the two as well so it's not fair to say they're the same diaper.

Yes they are relabeled secureplus's, but the point here is noth that its a DIAPER, its what is on the diaper!

I just dont think you will ever see these out with the mainstream incontinence products because thats exactly what it was designed not to be. Having 'adult baby' diapers out in the incontinence section of stores wouldnt be very politically correct being a fetish item (gotta love society and their close minds...)

You dont see ballgags, buttplugs, whips, chains, ect on pharmacy shelves do ya? (if you do you have a pretty whacky pharmacy :D)

I'd love to see SecureCare X-Plus, Abri-Form X-Plus, or any of the other highly-absorbent diapers out there with incontinence products... I don't understand why they have a million bad options and not a single good one.

I really don't see why some company somewhere hasn't tried to bring a better adult diaper to the mass market. Depend and the store brands are so horrible it wouldn't take much to beat them. I see Wal-mart is trying... they sell Molicares online but you can have them shipped to a local store for pickup. I wonder if they would put them on the shelves if there was enough demand.

There exists huge demand for these products... that is obvious by the online sales... but there is a whole 'nother retail-only market just begging to be tapped into here.

Walmart will bring in anything they can sell, you just have to go in and ask for it.

Our local walmart used to stock attends for a few years as someone was ordering them in so they stocked them.

But i do have to agree, alot of the stuff that is regularly stocked isnt great. But then again, a true incontinent person usually does not need or want a high priced diaper that will last all day. They would rather change regularly to keep things 'fresh'

The truly incontinent person's caregiver might think otherwise. I remember reading an article advocating for one of the long-lasting ones - a big part of it is that it's a hassle for both the incontinent and the caregiver to change. Especially at night - why wake someone up every few hours to change?

For some reason, I got the impression that the longer-lasting diapers were kind of a "European" thing, and much more common there. But I might have just randomly thought that up, as I can't site any sources

There's a reason the stores don't sell 'proper' diaper brands that we know:

The point is that diaper-wearing incontinent people are simply not the customers that the supermarkets and pharmacy chains are targetting. Those people obviously require a regular and dependable (no pun intended :P) supply of their chosen products. You'll notice that most of the mail/internet order diaper suppliers offer a 'regular shipment' option where you say how much you want and how often and they just ship to schedule until you tell them otherwise. Normally there's a discount for this too. It's good for the customer because it's convenient, their supply is about as guaranteed as you'll get and even when you factor in shipping, it'll be cheaper than the store prices. It's also good for the company because they can consider it a firm sale even months into the future.

The US pharmacy and supermarket chains do not aim for this market because they're never going to be able to match the service and price offered by specialist suppliers. Instead, they aim for the bulk of incontinent people who have less severe problems - e.g. they carry far more varieties of pads and guards than they do pull-ups or diapers. They carry some, sure, probably because Kimberly Clarke, etc, push hard to get their entire range into the store. They can also count on selling the few diapers that they do carry at a slow and steady rate to the 'emergency' market of people who would normally obtain their supplies from a specialist firm but ran out early, were let down by UPS, discovered the airline sent their bags to Australia, etc, etc.

Night time yea, but for the day, im sure their arent very many incontinent people that like to walk around in a pissy/chitty diaper all day...
