Ab/dl Or Just Dl

Recommended Posts

I enjoy wearing BABY diapers. I emphasize the word because of how important it is that my diaper looks like a real baby diaper. As an aside, I will only wear rectangular disposables like the Pampers that came in boxes. I actually have to construct them with a glue gun using three diapers in order to achieve the right size and thickness.

The fact that I like to wear baby diapers makes me an AB/DL. That's clear. What's more, I would say that as long as there is the designation, AB/DL, there is no such thing as a person who is strictly AB, that is, likes pretending to be a baby but doesn't wear diapers. (Ain't gonna happen.)

The question I have for all of you who read posts in the diapers only section is do none of you really care how much your diaper looks like a real baby one? I suggest that if you do care, like me, you're an AB/DL. Everyone who likes to wear Bambinos is an AB/DL, regardless of whether they enjoy any of the other stuff associated with ABs such as sucking a pacifier or wearing juvenile clothing.

Are there really people out there who wear diapers entirely for pleasure, who don't give a hoot how much the diaper appears (to them, at least) like a real baby diaper? I'd like to know. Thanks.

personally, i'd say i'm a DL only, but some elements of the look/design of the diaper are important to me: i like disposable tape-up diapers over pull ups, i prefer plain white, plastic covers are better than that fabric stuff and standing leak guards are a definite must-have.

but i have no desire to act like a child aside from diapers, and im not fussed about childish designs or pictures like you get on pampers and huggies these days. so i class myself as a DL only :)

but when all is said and done, there's no hard & fast definition about what exactly defines an AB or DL, or an ABDL...

so whatever people feel comfortable describing themselves as,then surely that's up to them? :)

There are genuinely some people out there that enjoy strictly the feel of wearing the diaper for pleasure, and use it as a method of relaxing or a strictly sexual thing. They do exist really....they arn't just legendary creatures! :-)

Now personally, I'm more of a cross between AB/DL, although I have found myself sliding more toward the AB side of late. I love my diapers, without a doubt, but they've become increasingly less and less sexually oriented, and something I wear simply to relax or because I prefer to wear them as my underwear. I've also been becoming more and more attached to babyish clothing like sleepers, onesies, shortalls, etc, and have been finding myself sucking on my thumb or my pacifier in increasing amounts. So I guess you could classify me as in the middle, even though I haven't gone completely over yet.

And remember there are some Bambinos that are designed that are just basic diapers, without the baby print on them, so its not really fair to say that your are both AB and DL just because you wear anything made by Bambino.

The tired old stereotype that "diapers are all about being a baby" pisses me off no end.

I like diapers as a sexual turn on-regression and people acting like babies is a turn OFF.

I'd feel like a pedophile. I could not play "daddy" to save my life-seriously. Leaves me as limp as overcooked spaghetti.

But diaper a grown WOMAN,and use them for control-that gets me hard.

Especially if I can make her use them TOTALLY.

what about those of us that don't act as an Adult Baby but more of an Adult Kid i mean yea the shape and size of the diaper is important to me i mean i love the actual look and feel of an baby diaper but don't like the clothing of an adult baby so mainly i stick to being what we call an "Adult Kid" and love to act like one

It's the great debate that has been going on for years that will never be solved.... so why even bring it up?

AB and DL are very limited categories that I don't actually agree with... I believe there should be small sub categories under each category because AB does not necessarily describe me, but being a DL doesn't either....

Its a touchy subject with people who tend to get pissed off a little more than they should...why? maybe because deep down inside they are really trying to convince themselves that they are not an AB, when in reality they are, they just are in denial... lol

Why someone gets so upset about something so petty is beyond me. We all like diapers... for whatever reason, whether wearing them or putting them on someone else...but trying to divide us among categories which are so limited is a waste of time.... and a waste of getting mad over something so idioctic.

I started off thinking I was an AB - then moved away from that to 100% DL, or so I thought! Like dwtigger was saying I think there was an element of denial. Like diaper666 says I would probably call myself an AK/DL! I enjoy some childish behaviours and dungarees and trainers over thick thick diapers are the best :D

I'm a DL all-the-way, not AB. I'm not into the babytalk, bibs and stuff of that nature. But I do like to wear diapers with plastic pants and view others in the same. For me it's a sexual thing.

The view of a thick diaper under white or pink plastic pants, with a huge bulge in the oppropriate area really turns me on. I dunno why ??? Been trying to figure it out for years. It's also a turn on for me to see baby clothes mask the obvious situation. But the sight of the bulge is the main thing for me.

I know, go ahead and say it, I'm Weird.

Not to start a flamewar here, but does anyone else find it ironic that the grammar cop can't capitalize any words or use punctuation in any sense of the word?

Haven`t you heard the news? It`s a bright new dawn, and it`s topsy- turvy! From now on this shall be law: The messy ones shall climb down from their mountain, and they will teach everybody about the virtues of being tidy!! Salvation is finally at hand, rejoice! :roflmao:

Im sort of an in-between really... Like, I like my Binky and I like my diapers to look baby-ish, but, only to a point, I like tape-on Disposables, with plastic backing, but, Im just to lazy to go through all the trouble of actually converting baby diapers, lol...

Not to mention that i do all kinds of "grown up" things like, watch the history channel, make dinner, and surf the net, even whilest wetting my diaper and sucking my paci...

So its a little of both for me...

Like Tigger said there are many sub categories that could fall under any type. I consider myself more of a DL, but my wife like's to call me her boy sometimes in the bedroom. It works for me!

So whatever works for you I guess. The debate continues................................................

I'm about 4 or 5 inside my little make-believe world.

A kid that still wears diapers. Not a baby, but still treated like a toddler even though the little guy inside is "past that age". I've never wanted baby clothes, but I've always liked a good bottle and pacifier. Most of us have known of older kids in diapers (at least night-time diapers). I'm that kid.

Never did feel comfortable with the ab/dl tag... but, then again few seem to either. Psychology is fun!

I'm not an Adult Baby. Of course, I do have my infantilistic sides, but they have nothing to do with my diaper wearing. I do still sleep with plushies, and I like watching kiddy movies (so cute and innocent ^_^). I even like being babysat, it's so nice if someone takes care of you.

I have a bottle, I tried out a pacifier. The bottle is still fun at times, and occasionally useful as there is no chance of spilling, which is an important plus and allows me to work at my computer more relaxed. The pacifier isn't really my thing.

But I like my diapers because I like diapers, not because they turn me on, and not because they remind me of being a baby. I just like diapers, period. Mind you that they can be sexual, as I am also into humiliation and such. So I would say that I am a Diaper Lover and not an Adult Baby, even if there are parts of the latter I occasionally enjoy. It really is first and foremost diapers, and not being a baby that is important. Age-play is just something fun that could be done while I'm wearing a diaper.

I wear diapers too, But you're right, they have to look like baby diapers

or their just not diapers. When I go to order mine, I make sure that the

packages say adult baby diapers on them, { not " adult briefs " } because

that just sounds stupid. when they arrive, and I open the box, I can't help

but inhale that sweet baby smell. Even though they are square, my diapers

are so thick that they make their plastic outsides crinkle, and I love it.

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. I'm not sure what I am but being dressed like a baby does not sound cool, but some other elements do, so I guess probably just horny with a diaper fetish... to be honest.

Not really sure what it's about for me personally, I love wearing nappies, mainly for sexual reasons, but also for comfort.

I also like the stuff that goes with it - "accidents", using a potty etc, and wearing some baby clothes but I think thats far more about humiliation than it is about being a baby- outside of my comfort zone rather than well within it.

On the other hand, I don't like being humiliated in public - purely behind closed doors.

I suppose that makes me somewere between dl and ab, leaning towards dl, although like some of you have said, they're not great definitions.

Link to comment

Well I really can;t say if I'm into the ab scene as that would imply sex is in the equation. Sadly I haven't seen gide nor hair of a boob in about 4 years. I derive no pleasure from acting like a baby but the whole bondage aspect sounds pretty kinky and i think women look hot in diapers, but I'm not into porn per se so limited exposure there.

i do wear my thick cloth diapers for pleasure, but, I also want the diapers to very much look like baby diapers with plastic pants. have some AB side to my serious DL side as I do enjoy wearing onsies, footed PJs, etc. do not wet or poop in my diapers and do not drink from baby bottles but most other activites are well enjoyed.

Categorizing AB/DLs isn't about dividing people into irreconcilably different and hostile groups. If it helps people identify and understand themselves and find others like them, how can it hurt?

I'm a little of both--my fantasies about being babied tend to be centered on diapers, and I can't wear a diaper without thinking about being babied, plus I gravitate toward diapers similar to those I wore as a baby. AB and DL are inseparable for me.

Unless you grew up incontinent and have had it ingrained in you since childhood that diapers aren't just for babies, I think there's always going to be an association between diapers and infancy. Whether that association is important differs from person to person. I can see how it's possible to be a "pure" diaper lover--it just feels good to have something thick and fluffy hugging you down there. People who "play" with stuffed animals aren't necessarily fixed on the childishness of the stuffed animals, are they?

If there's one part of the AB/DL world I don't understand, it's the whole "cute guys/girls in diapers" thing. Seeing a person in diapers makes them undesirable to me. I'm not into BDSM--I want to be loved and cared for, not punished--but I want to be at the MERCY of the sexy person, not in charge.
