Does anybody know of a source of well-made oversize potties? Manufactured by the million in toddler size, I'm looking for one large enough and strong enough to be routinely used several times per day by an adult of, let's say, 90kg/200lb. Preferably traditional style as regards bowl shape, handle slot, boy's splashguard and so on. Discuss design details here?

How about relating childhood memories (your own or of siblings) of potty training in RL. I suspect many of us are here because of childhood potty training. In my case (late 1940s) I was trained very early and only have some vague memories. But I do remember younger siblings and some other kids in the neighborhood being potty trained in this era. For one thing I do remember a rather strict schedule for being put on the potty chair. The minute after getting up (night or nap) out of a diaper and onto the potty. Directly after a meal. And at something like a hour interval at first, this increased later but even at five she insisted we stopped what we were doing probably every two hours. Later as adults for our own kids we did have an actual schedule. It was based on when they had went in the past or when we thought it was likely. I will relate more memories in a little while but maybe you will share some of your own memories. But mine were of a rigid formal process that was required of the child. Not like today when the child sort of decides when to be trained.

I responded to a post in a different part of the forum and it triggered a thought. I wondered how many of us have consciously or unconsciously responded to bad potty training. What were your memories of bad potty training? Here is one I recall, and for those of you who may have read this earlier, sorry. (I did edit it a little from before) In RL my mother told of her sister-in-law. Her kids were too old to not be toilet trained (probably 2 1/2 by 1950s standards) And she would spank them on loaded training pants. My mother's comment was "It makes the clean up much harder." So I remembered the vague memory. My mom would have cleaned us and given a good paddling. Wet ones would have been dealt with the same way. And in either case it would be followed by putting your red butt on the potty chair. And then spending some time strapped to it.

I've always thought it would be exciting form of punishment to be restrained on the changing table with an unfolded diaper underneath

I wanted to ask all you big boys who don't wear protection 24/7 like me what you do when your at home. And maybe there's some adventurous girls who might like to share something as well. Some girls prefer to stand, so I've heard. When I'm at home, I rarely stand to potty. And no worrying about missing my aim. I also often sit on the potty when wearing a diapers. I don't know why. I think it feels a little like potty training. Some times I like to regress like a preschooler who still wets his pants. If I'm not wearing protection at bedtime, (I know, WHY NOT?) It's also a lot more relaxing to sit on the potty when half asleep. Also, I usually "potty it all out" when I sit down. Because it seems, thanks to age and an enlarging prostate having to go after going. And getting back up to finish going a short time later is just frustrating. Might as well just wet the bed. Another excuse to wear diapers. The exception for me is if I'm in a real hurry or I'm out in public. Who likes to sit on a public toilet unless it's absolutely necessary? So I'll use a urinal if there's a restroom available, Personally I'm just not comfortable wearing a soaking wet diaper while out in public. Of course, there's always that involuntary leakage when zipping up. It never fails to leave a wet spot if not wearing something absorbent. I've bought baby diapers out of the restroom dispenser to use as a stuffer. Nobody seems to notice unless it's a thick bulky thing. So, does anyone else who isn't a 24/7 diaper wearer do something simular this? I'm cuirious to know just how wierd I am. THANKS!
