  1. *hugs back* Whenever I look at it, I think he’s about to give a speech or something lmao. Like he’s adjusting his bow tie as he begins speaking into the mic.
  2. Ho-lee-crap I wanted to create a rotor factory because all of my needed items/materials needed them and it made sense to build up a stock thereof. Problem was I kept running out of screws in the production line because other systems needed screws too. I decided to make a mini factory dedicated to only screws. Not too bad of an idea, honestly. And then I could tear down any other machines that made screws and have them working on other stuff. I did the maths and everything worked out. The plan was simple. I built a mark 2 drill on top of a pure iron node. This makes 240 ore per minute (from now on, any number I toss out will be in parts per minute unless otherwise stated). So 240 in, but the smelters run at 30, so I had to build 8 of them to keep up. Then I needed constructors to make rods. They run at 15/min. So to keep up with the smelters, I needed 16 constructors making rods. This puts me at 21 machines and I still have one stage left: turn the rods into screws…at a rate of 10/min. To keep up with the 240 production, I needed 24 more constructors on top of the 16 from before. 49 machines total for my screw factory. Dont worry, the story goes even more downhill from here because…everything worked, but the production line was being choked. Everything was running at half capacity. I looked around for just a small moment when I realized where the bottleneck was. Remember how I had 240 ore coming in, getting processed, converted to rods and then to screws? The rod - screw conversion is the only step that the input:output ratio is not 1:1. The ratio is 1:4. 240 in…960 out. My belts can only handle up to 270, and I had 2 of them being ran out from the production chain. I wanted to upgrade my belts to the next stage because then my factory could run at full capacity, but I need to set up a motor factory since everything I need to make now to progress uses a lot of them. The reason this is impeding me is that I don’t have the next tier belts unlocked. There are a few things I could do about this, but all of them are slow to do. Very slow. So as much as I’d like to see the screw production run at full throughout, I’m going to have to tear it down and relocate it to a spot with less capacity so I can convert the current setup into the motor factory. And so, last night, I began the sad process of getting the factory torn down. I went to the drill/miner and turned it off and watched the hour-long process of of the entire factory run out of resources. I set up some garbage disposals (aka AWESOME SINKs) to dump the lines as quickly as possible beforehand. When the factory was finally emptied, it was a little past 6 am (yeah, I played it through the night lol), so I went ahead and called it a night and went to bed. The good news is that I can keep the miner and the smelters, but that means I’ll need to build more when I rebuild the screw factory. I’d have to do that anyway, but still. I plan to move the crew factory to an ore deposits that produces half of what the current one can do (120 as opposed to 240), which means I only need half the machines. It also means my current belts I have unlocked can carry the throughput. It’ll actually be a little less than the current factory due to rounding, but still. The motor factory, once it’s built, I plan to do everything there. Screw production, steel pipe production (they’re needed to make rotors; I’ll just bring the ingots over since they’re already being produced elsewhere, as well as the copper wire). The maths says I’ll be making 10 motors/min. So, yeah, I have a lot ahead of me, and that list isn’t even close to what I still need to do. I finally got oil going, but idk how to work with fluids. I don’t even think I can manage fluids right now. I just needed rubber and plastic, but one of the byproducts is fuel, which all I can do with right now is dump out once the containers fill up (if they’re full, the machines can’t run because they get full too, which means my plastic and rubber production stops too).
  3. The fixed versions have arrived, and I ordered a stencil for them. Now, there’s a different chip they didn’t have in stock this time around, but I do have pretty much all of the other parts I’ll need. I’m not going to today, though, because I have a ton of stuff to do on Satisfactory that I’m wanting to get out of the way. I figured I’d do the boards after I wake up tomorrow, but spend the entirety of tonight on Satisfactory (I’ll update my topic about that game in a bit lol). In the pics, the big metal sheet is called a stencil. It sits on top of the board(s) and some solder paste gets spread across it and fills in the holes. It’s a fast way of applying solder to many pads at once. Once the paste is set and the stencil pulled off, the parts go on and then the board gets baked. The paste melts and then the board/oven goes through a cooling process. The melted paste hardens back into the solder we all know and love. [Pre-Post Edit] I can’t post the pics lol. I have two MB of space left on my account. I’ll figure something out. Maybe post the project to my website and then link it back here.
  4. Thrudove mens hair removal cream. The package I got says “Intimate” in big text on it, but idk if there are other kinds they have.
  5. Indeed. That’s part of why I haven’t used it yet, actually. I have two spots on my knees where hairs became ingrown and I scratched them free. There were three, but one is healed finally. I’m still waiting for the other two to heal up.
  6. I figured out what’s wrong with the reset circuit. Very, very, very, very small gap between transistor pin and solder pad (and solder). Once I saw that tiny gap, I took my multimeter probe and shoved it in the spot and suddenly it worked excellently. I mean, the status LED is still forever on, but at least the most crucial part actually works. Memory is still untested.
  7. I find character creation (specifically, origin stories) fascinating. You have some people who choose a sona based on their favorite animals. Some are based on favorite shows/movies/cartoons/etc. Some just choose a random species as they get started in the fandom. Some characters are given deep meaning and are used as a way to express the owner’s own thoughts and feelings, sometimes even having physical features of the owner/creator made into the character. Then there are the characters created purely for fetish reasons or meant to be used only for lewd acts. When I first started out in furryism, it was due to a game called Undertale. My first sona was a goat named Gote. He climbed things, ate things, caused occasional mischief. I liked him and had him for a while. But then I decided to become a skunk for no other reason than because I like the smell. Then when our cat passed, I made him a hybrid as a way to honer her memory. At some point, I made a cow oc to use for fetish purposes. Then I adopted a handful of characters over the next few years, but still have yet to do anything with them.
  8. Another update: I got the updated versions and populated one board. As far as I can tell (the wording there is important!), it’s almost perfect. Almost. There are two major issues that doesn’t really affect how well it operates, but both are still annoying to deal with. The bigger of the two, the reset circuit doesn’t work and I can’t figure out why. I can only guess that the transistor in control of it isn’t dropping enough voltage to trigger the input. The next big issue is the status LED circuit. I either didn’t pay enough attention or I misinterpreted the symbols initially, but I have the LEDs connected the wrong way to the transistors. That means the LEDs are always lit up ?‍♂️. The other issues are mostly cosmetic. The LEDs for memory and IO reads and writes do work as intended…but I forgot how I had them laid out when I drew the silkscreen labels, and I labeled them wrong. I liked the way the labels had them more than how they were actually laid out, so I rearranged those. I made some text bigger. The connector on the board wasn’t centered, so I expanded the board slightly to make it so. The labels for the connector got hidden below the connector, so I expanded the board slightly along the other axis and scootched the text over. It'll be a while still yet until I can attach the ROM chip to the board, but I went ahead and attached the RAM (ROM still hasn’t came back in stock). If I remember correctly, that was basically every issue I’ve had with the design so far. Though I don’t have the EEPROM yet, I should still be able to test the rest of the design by pulling the CPU off the breadboard version and then making the necessary connections to the PCB version and check that everything still behaves the same way. The RAM has been moved from the breadboard to the PCB, so really, all I need to do is check that it can access RAM. If it can, then that means the necessary connections to the memory circuit are all valid and I can move on to the next things I plan to do. The attached pic was taken before I got the last set of LEDs, which was also before I decided to add the RAM. I was waiting to add the RAM until after I added the ROM because the RAM would get in the way of the soldering iron. I changed my mind when I found out I had mistakes to fix anyway. To be able to go ahead and populate the fixed version, I ordered some sockets to take its place. When they arrive, I can just pop one into the socket and call it done.
  9. I was going to agree with rusty, but then snugglebear made a valid point. Also, I thought I replied a few days ago, heheh. Whoops. The packaging didn’t exactly say what type of hair it was for, but it was heavily implied it’s for the pubic kind. The person who recommended it to me said they use it for regular body hair, and the package doesn’t imply that it shouldn’t be used for such. But now that I’ve done my initial test, lemme go ahead and share the results. Brian mentioned the smell. Oh yeah, it stank. The only way I can describe it is the smell of melting hair (as opposed to burning). Speaking of burn, I did feel a slight sensation on my hands (where I tested), but I wasn’t sure if it was because I had been rough with a paper towel and also the scraper. I also didn’t get the hairs completely removed (ie, roots remained). It appears that the hairs that the roots did get removed are struggling to grow back, but the ones that I failed to get are already popping back up. The instructions said the stuff can take 3-6 minutes to take affect. It said to apply it, wait 3 minutes and then check occasionally to see if it’s ready. I forgot to time it, but I was somewhere toward the end of that time frame.
  10. It’s good to hear that things went okay. Though it wasn’t as big of a help as it could and should have been, at least it was still helpful. And also, good that your mom and her husband chose not to fight it out. What’s next?
  11. Yellow: pacman Brown: “WAKA WAKA WAKA”
  12. I think that might be a little much lol. I just wanna wear thigh highs without my leg hairs becoming ingrown. But then again, I’ll likely end up wearing them often enough that hairs do become a frequent issue. I’ll keep the waxing in mind. The cream was cheap enough, so I’ll skip out on the $500 machine lol.
  13. The stuff was actually meant for those areas. It’s heavily implied so, anyway. My main concerns right now are how to get it off my legs once I’m done (am at work), and what happens if I don’t do a good job getting it off.
  14. It’s some good crap. So far, I’ve done the back of my left hand to see if my skin can handle it. It did, so I’m taking the rest of the hair with it. Next will be my right hand. After that? My legs >:)
  15. I did see multiplayer, but I have no one to play with, lol. It would be helpful sometimes so that one of us can run around and do the stuff while the other keeps the other stuff up and running (someone to fetch coal or something from the depot I built). Uhm. Do the trucks (“tractors”) get storage upgrades? I usually find myself making two trips when doing a coal restock.
  16. Smilin’ with the mouth of the ocean Well I wave to you with the arms of a mountain I see (need?) you!
  17. Didn’t it come out somewhat recently that toys r us is reopening? I forget where I read that tho.
  18. I forget how I ended up watching a YouTube video comparing three games I’ve barely heard of as alternatives to another game I also have barely heard of. I saw the title and thumbnail and decided to see what factory-making games are out there. I watched it and decided Satisfactory was likely a good option. In a good way, it was not a good choice (keep reading lmao). Satisfactory is an exploration-focused logistics game. It drops you (literally) into an alien world and tells you to go collect resources and make stuff. You also have tiers of stuff to unlock and several things locked behind other [types of game] mechanics. For example, you build a bioreactor to power your factory. You build drills to mine ores. Build a smelter to turn the ore into ingots, then build an assembler to turn ingots into parts. Use the created parts to unlock: more factory machines, space elevator (this is part of the “story”), the AWESOME Sink and AWESOME Market. Eventually, you unlock coal power, steel production (you only have iron up to this point), vehicles, a better weapon. Some things have to be unlocked via the AWESOME Market or the tool workshop, or MAM (material analyzer), or even hard drives from crashed space pods. So yeah, there is a lot to the game. The funky gameplay is funky. Low gravity means you can jump fairly high and fall from large heights without dying (but you still can, so be careful anyway). The tractor eats fuel at an alarming rate. So do the coal power plants, which you also need to connect to a water source. You also need pumps if the plant is too far above the water source. You also have to worry about power management. Last night, I accidentally let a steel ingot enter my coal drop off point. Actually, I accidentally let several enter. I tried to clean up the mess, but apparently one ingot got away. It ended up trying to get fed into one of my coal plants. That plant went down (no fuel), but I had two auxiliary bioreactors running to supplement the extra power draw from the AWESOME Sink I had just built. When coal reached a different section of my operation and a machine started trying to make stuff, it killed my power. I quickly realized what was wrong when I restarted the plants and only one started throwing smoke. I pulled the steel out of the one plants coal intake and it came back online, so I shut my bioreactors down since I turned the Sink off earlier. I started off with the easiest world in the game and named it Pyr (pronounces similarly to “tire”). Oh god, that was a wreck. I knew absolutely nothing about the game other than “build stuff” and “kill aliens,” so I ended up screwing myself over in the end. I have about a day’s worth of work on there, but I decided I needed to just end it. I’m thinking of going back and redoing it since all the resources that went into building it get recycled (it’s basically a complicated way of moving things). Anyway, I started my second world, Ayreon. I think my issue with the first world was that I was trying to do everything the game told me to as it told me to do it. You can craft everything by hand, which is mostly what I was doing. Crafting by hand, though, is…not the best idea. Crafting by hand, you go at a rate of two ticks per second. Some things take one tick to craft (for a rate of 2/s), some take two (for a rate of 1/s), while some take 8 (one per 4s) and some take 12 (one per 6s). This may not seem too bad until the game asks you to make—literally—1500 of one item, 500 of two others and 100 of yet a third. When I started this second world, I started by watching a help guide on YouTube. It didn’t help too much to let me know how to figure stuff out. It basically said “do exactly this because we need this,” but it never explained why we needed to do ‘this’ or anything. I’m still lost, but my second attempt went much better than the first. I was able to pull enough info from the video to get an idea of how I should do things. I figured out how to balance the flow rate of resources. I think one of the bigger things I learned from the video was to automate everything (and I do mean everything). In my first world, doing anything was a struggle. I didn’t automate everything, so I’d end up needing to spend about 20 minutes hand crafting parts. I figured it would be easier to hand craft everything, until I was being asked to make thousands of a part that I didn’t even have the base material for (I’d have to make the base materials before making the parts themselves). In world 2, I had the foresight to allow myself access to everything I made (via storage containers) and I didn’t limit myself to only a couple hundred square meters of space. One of the biggest things holding me back from progressing in Pyr was the un-automated process of making reenforced iron plates. I set up an automated system in Ayreon so that I can just leave and explore, and now when I get back, I have hundreds waiting for me. I used to cry at the idea of making thousands of reenforced plates to upgrade my conveyor belts. Now, I just grab a couple stacks from their respective storage container and build the upgraded belts directly without giving a second thought. In conclusion, I have lost a lot of sleep because of this game, and I’ve only owned it for three days (today makes four). No really, I stayed up all night the last two nights playing it. I slept for four hours or less last night and about as much the previous. I’m tired today and neither of my two alarms went off, but all I can think about is rebuilding Pyr. I had just unlocked coal when I stopped for the night (when I came back the “next day,” I started Ayreon). If any of you want to waste a lot of time playing the game (it’s in early access and contains WIP material, but it’s a pretty damn solid game as-is), I highly recommend it. It was like $30 on steam for full price. If/when you start a game, get to coal power as fast as you can, but take your time with everything else. [EDIT TO ADD]: The game music is weird. One track, every time it plays, I tell myself “here we go with White Snake again” lmao. It sounds like (the original release of) “Here I Go Again,” which is slightly ironic, haha. There was another track in the game that stands out, but I can’t remember what it was it reminded me of.
  19. Yeah, I feel that. I like being safe and alive in general, lol. I’m kinda considering making our meetup happen here at work because not only is there a parking lot full of trucks and their drivers, but there’s also a building full of cops. Not always full and they don’t seem to have a regular shift schedule, but they are there often enough to make it worth a try.
  20. Communication was one of the driving points we made to each other. He talked about having a roommate previously who was in a similar situation and I asked about how that went. The conclusion was that he knows how to read a body (I’ll still communicate anyway) and know what to do to get things happening. I let him know that he would have to force some things on me because my body would naturally resist and he said no forcing would be necessary because he knows how to get my body to want it and crave it. Idk about that, lol, but communication will be strongly needed. Whenever I imagine myself letting people know the when’s and where’s, my mind flashes to a scene from a movie (idr the movie) where a girl was getting a ride from a stranger, so she had the guy to get his ID out so she could read it off to her friend on the phone. I won’t go to that extent with it, haha, but I will still be relaying any information I think would help and try to sneak a pic or two. As to a meetup location, that’s a good point. I believe he would have been fine showing up to my work (a very public place), but I suggested to not because of the random inspections we get and stuff. That’s part of why I’ll be sharing as many details as I can with the other people. Also, I always keep my phone’s location services turned on, so I’ll also be trackable if needed.
  21. I briefly mentioned it here, as well as a couple details about it, but I’ll give the rundown anyway: So uh, remember a few weeks back when I was trying to find a label for my sexuality? I did find a label, but it’s both a mouthful and unimportant to the story. What is important is that I found support to help me figure myself out. There were two specific people I had in mind to help me from an online chat room I used to help run (I left because the chats primary purposes had shifted). I didn’t find either person, but I did meet a third one, who I decided to turn into my therapist after they sent me a dm. So we talked some. I mentioned why I rejoined the chat room and went into detail about myself (as much detail as needed, anyway). He would talk back and ask questions and stuff and kept from getting too frisky as we conversated. He’s built up a lot of trust with me and he would be, for lack of a better phrasing, easy to get access to since he comes this direction for work occasionally (and by request). I weighed the options and risks and finally bit the metaphoric bullet. Without actually requesting a meetup, I requested we meet up. I told him when (as in days of the week) and where to meet and he said he would request coming this way soon. And that brings us to why I’m nervous. Of course I’m going to be nervous. We met online and are going to be doing stuff together that I’m honestly kinda scared of irl. Individually, both of those are cause for great nervousness, but then to combine them into one experience is…yeah. I already plan to make multiple people aware of when the meeting happens, just in case, and I plan to carry a knife, also just in case. I do trust that things won’t go very wrong…but still.
  22. To be fair to Mina, some of that did come off as a fair bit harsh, but it is still pretty good advice, regardless. The main takeaways are spot-on. Your (potential) partner should know early on what you’re about and you should know them too. If they’re willing to try to meet your desires, you should try to meet theirs. Relationships aren’t one-gives-all. All people involved need to put in equal efforts. That’s where the strength comes from. Even if it doesn’t work out in the end, as long as everyone tried their best (and *actually* tried), you can still keep a strong friendship. When you mentioned the creepy messages, oml, I cringed, and there was nothing to cringe at! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen creepy interactions online where one person just hops in and gets straight to “being sexy” (?). At least try to make yourself look like you care the slightest about them as a human being! I’ve kinda put myself in a situation where I’m going to be meeting someone soon. We met in a chat room meant purely for 18+ purposes, but he started the dm not by asking for pics, but by asking about me. I will admit that I kinda forced him to act as a temporary therapist for me when we first started messaging, but still. He learned my interests and questions and talked to me about how he’d handle..me.. Anyway, point is, that was a great point. Just general talking to each other first is a much, much better approach than getting directly to the nitty-gritty, even when the nitty-gritty was the sole intent of starting the conversation. Know what? I’m gonna continue with my previous..thing to go back to the first point I talked about. When we first started talking, I told him that I was new to the entire everything and that I wish to explore myself. I told him everything. His response? He said he would go gentle and take his time. He wouldn’t pressure me to do something I don’t want while pushing the things I do want but need help with. He built up that layer of trust without getting overly sexual; only being sexual enough to cover the topic at hand. Read the room (or in this case, read the other person) and try not to overstep your bounds way early on. In fact, once you feel comfortable enough to take that step, make it a smaller one and keep reading the person. Even when they’re comfortable with you, it’s still easy to make the wrong move. They’ll just be a little more tolerable/forgiving for it. I will counter your first point tho. Based on not just the abdl community, but others too, there are more abdl out there than you’d think. Many may not be into using them and many are a bit scared to try, but they are out there. Tbh, it should be made easier for us to find each other. Regardless, if you do find a dl who doesn’t use or is afraid to, you can gently nudge them to try it, but only nudge them. Some only need the nudge and some are as planted in their ways as a billion-year-old fossilized tree (this point kinda fell back into trust didn’t it lol).
  23. I’ve picked up an electric guitar and learned a finger exercise and one riff. Idk the song very well that the riff came from (“Come As You Are” by Nirvana), so I’m not too focused on getting good at it rn. I did add it to my music playlist so I can hear it more often and actually learn the melody. As to the finger exercise, I’m trying to get fast at it. It’s simple to play, your hand generally stays in one spot of the fretboard, it uses alternative picking (down-up-down-up-down). It’s when I start getting faster that I fall apart on it.
  24. Yesterday before taking a shower. As usual, no actual diaper involved. Was in boxer-briefs that were already a bit messy from the previous night. Woke up gassy. Passed a couple of wet farts before finally getting up and ready to shower. Got to the bathroom and stripped down to my undies. I was going to release into my pants while sitting on the toilet, but I changed my mind and got in the tub instead. In the tub, I got on my knees and feet and angled myself slightly before pushing it out. Damn, was it runny too (I knew it would be; that’s why I got in the tub to do it like that). Skipping a few details, I turned the shower on, took my undies off and started cleaning up.
