  1. My best friend since the 6th grade, Franky, wet the bed as a kid. To my knowledge he did it well into adulthood(well, we're in our mid 20s now, so the word adulthood is relative I suppose). For some reason I've never been able to bring myself to tell him I'm a bedwetter too, though I've known about his nighttime issues for many years.
  2. Sort of a proof of concept thing. Just like people say "it took me x amount of time to wet myself uncontrollably with or without a diaper." I figured that I could officially call myself a true bedwetter if it didn't matter if I was wearing a diaper or not. Otherwise I was just training myself mentally to wet a diaper in my sleep. I have no clue why that was important to me, but it was. Now that I've achieved real bedwetting though, it's diapers nightly, unless I just want to wake up to soaked sheets.
  3. I wish nothing but the best for you! How you say you started wetting the bed again reminds me of how I started in a way. I wet the bed nightly until I was almost 6 then I just kind of grew out of having nightime accidents regularly. When I was in my early teens, I would have the occasional wetting(once or twice per month), but that stopped to by the time I reached 15. Then when I was about 19 I started wetting the bed again when I had been drinking, but only if I was exhausted as well. At the age of 23 I decided that I would try and get back to wetting nightly due to my OAB causing me to wake up to use the bathroom upwards of 4 times a night. After some time, I reached where I am at now, which is nightly or near nightly wettings with or without diapers.
  4. If you do try, be sure to be safe. Your body will tell you when enough is enough. If you don't get results with that, try prehydrating with water as agapoulo suggested. This, plus getting used to wetting the bed mentally will get you results. It may even been a good idea to practice while during the day. Simply wear a diaper and wet the bed intentionally to get accustomed to the action and feeling of wetting the bed. Over time, hydrating(especially with diuretic drinks) and practice, you will get results.
  5. It never did seem to me that there would be a big correlation between autism and AB/DL. I never felt that I wanted to wear because of my Aspergers, it was just a predominantly comfort thing for me. Although I do suppose with sensory processing issues usually associated with Autism one might find sensory relief by wearing/wetting diapers.
  6. I completely agree that anyone wanting to try any type of alcoholic drink to help induce bedwetting that is not used to drinking should not try a large amount like 3 24 oz beers at 8% ABV. I drank that amount to induce wetting the bed before I completely retrained myself to wet the bed because I drink on a normal basis and have a very high tolorence to ethanol. As I've mentioned before, everyone is different, and BMI/ethanol tolorence is going to differ from person to person. You should only consume what is safe for you. Prehydrating with water and being tired, like after a workout are also very good bits of advice. I remember the first time I successfully caused myself to wet the bed I drank 1 beer and was extremely tired after working a double shift. Unfortunately, back then my bladder and subconscious weren't accustomed enough to wetting while sleeping to do it on just one beer if I wasn't exhausted as well, so I had to up the amount I was drinking and found three beers worked for me.
  7. I've read on many an AB/DL forum how much of the community says they have aspergers or autism spectrum dissorder, and that they wear because of an innate desire for comfort and to solve sensory issues. Now, I am officially diagnosed with aspergers level 1(just autism spectrum dissorder now-a-days) and I know that I used to wear out of a sexual desire which over the years took on more of a comfort desire, that is now both comfort and necessity. My question is this: do you or someone you know in the ABDL community, if you are OK posting the answer here, have autism spectrum dissorder? If so, do you think it contributes to your/their lifestyle as a AB/DL in any way?
  8. Not yet, because I only wear when at night, but I did recently have a slightly embarasing situation at work. I've been trying to not clench at all when diapered and while washing some dishes I started thinking about not clenching. A few seconds later I feel a couple drops of pee run down my leg. ? SOOO embarased, but I was wearing black pants so the dribble wasn't noticable to anyone but me.
  9. I could be a superhero. Underwear by day, diaper by night. I'm the amazing bedwetting under-diaper-man!?
  10. I apologise if this post is in the wrong thread in advance. I'm still getting used to navigating this forum. I'd just like to take the opportunity to say thank you, to everyone on DD. I've frequented many forums including DailyDiapers as a visitor but never had the guts to sign up myself. Now that I have, and I have shared some of my story, it's almost like a burden has been lifted off of my shoulders. I feel more accepted as who I am, and to see so many others with the same interests as myself communicating with each other and helping each other out is inspiring. So, what do you like about AB/DL communities like DD?
  11. The guy that runs the site is apparently a coach for kids and adults who want to stop wetting the bed, but is willing to coach people to start again. It may work, but the reason why it would work seems to be a personalised plan. Still, like what's been said here already, this community is here for free and is more than willing to help people to achieve the same goal. Actually, DD and other furoms are where I got most of the information I needed to successfully retrain myself to wet the bed. ?
  12. I remember being a kid and wanting to wear diapers again, but being to afraid to go to the store and buy a pack of them for myself in fear of my mom finding out. As if any of the clerks at the stores close enough to where we lived would instantly recognise her, and that I was her son, and then proceed to fill her in on what I'd been purchasing. Nonetheless this forced me to get creative and try my hand at making my own diapers from stuff I could find around the house. I've done the wear all your underwear at the same time thing, the fold a towel up and put it in your underwear thing, the towel and grocery bag thing and much more. The best makeshift diaper I ever managed to construct as a kid, though, was pretty good considering what I was working with. It consisted of the bottom half of a one piece bikini, a hand towel, regular towel and a lot of sewing thread. The bikini was the structure that held everything in place, then I sewed in two pieces of a towel to the inside front and back of the bikini, so that they covered the entire front and back and acted as a sort of liner. I then folded the hand towel into a long thin strip and sewed it into the middle of the bikini going from front to back, which made it act as an absobent insert. I topped it off by spraying the outside of the bikini with a hefty amount of that water resistant spray that's always being advertised in infomercials on TV. To my surprise it worked perfectly. It was machine washable, durable and descreet enough to wear under most of my clothes. And it was fairly absorbent to. It actually worked a little better than a goodnite. So, what was the best makeshift diaper you ever made as a kid?
  13. Lol. I woulden't dare give my diapers up. Yes. Seeing all of the "this is a permanent change and can't be undone," warnings on different forums I frequent, though, just made me curious as to if anyone has actually re-potty trained themselfs. Very good to know. Hopefully if some unforeseen financial trouble or other situation comes up later in life, it will be easy for me to regain some control. Hopefully I never need to do that though.
  14. It's 3 24 oz drinks. That's what did the trick for me, however everyone is different so you may need more or less, and to drink faster or slower. The ideal amount is enough to have you heading to the bathroom frequently enough that the time in between trips would be just a little longer than the amount of time it takes you to fall asleep. This way when you lay down after finishing your last drink, your bladder will be close to capacity shortly after you fall asleep. This initial stage of sleep is usually a deep sleep, which means you're less likely to wake up because your bladder is full. It may also help if you don't use the bathroom before laying down. Some people have a harder time falling asleep with a semi full bladder, but at least for me, it really helped when I first started retraining.
  15. I've trained myself to wet the bed again and am now reliably wet every night without memory of waking to void. I have no desires to try and re-potty train myself to stop wetting the bed, but it has occured to me that although there are many on forums such as DD that have reported regressing to wetting the bed, I haven't heard of anyone training themselfs to wet the bed again and then training themselfs to stop wetting the bed after that. So, my question is have you or anyone you know done that? If so, how?
