  1. Though I prefer plastic diapers. If I'm wearing outdoors, it's usually goodnites, underjams, or pampers baby dry size 6 (though I'll need to loose another 15 lbs before I can fit into baby drys again).
  2. I've heard that American hospitals and care facilities are required to change patients every two hours, so it could be a cost-cutting measure, as the majority of products used would never be filled to anywhere near capacity. American products used to be better, but there has been a trend to make everything thinner, and quieter (even if the technology doesn't permit doing so). It's sad seeing Attends become as thin and useless as Depends. Speaking of Depend, how is it that they can use "The Best Protection" in their ads? That's a bold faced lie. I got to try the Argentinian Depend a year ago, and it was pretty thick, had thick plastic (that you could hear, but only if you were listening for it,) and it held over twice as much as it's American counterpart. Also noteworthy, it had aloe inside, and was one of the most comfortable diapers I'd ever worn. We get stuck with crap in the states.
  3. So do none of the Euro Attends briefs have a plastic backing now? So dies a great diaper. Even if any do, the company which acquired Attend USA went through with the acquisition of Europe's Attend, and Possibly Japan's Atento, so don't be surprised if there is a standardization, and drop of quality across the board.
  4. Wow, I've been looking for this for ages! Btw, I'm the annonymous reader quoted in that post. I really did record Nick for 3 days immediately after it aired. I spent so much time looking for this clip. I'm really quite thrilled to see it again after all these years. Thanks both to you and Dick! P.S., Perhaps I'm just too stupid to figure this out, but what's the original link on youtube, so I can get this to my HD before the evil google overlords delete it?
  5. That would make sense for ABs who want to regress, but the original proposal (that staying in diapers longer could create DLs) makes sense. A person's sexuality, though not anywhere near being mature, does begin to develop early. It could be that still wearing diapers while one's further along in their sexual development engenders a diaper paraphilia.
  6. They are massively wide. You don't really see them like that anymore. Speaking of which, it looks like Attends recently changed the packaging for their protective underwear, but not their briefs (which makes me think their time is short). I just got some of the waistband breifs today, It's a shame how thin they've gotten.
  7. Those are probably from 93. It's a sample of the Attends Ultra Brief, which if I recall, has the plastic-like Perma-dry interior (yes, interior). They aren't as nice as the waistband style with the soft inner lining, but they're thick, have the classic Attends plastic, and are still better than what you can usually find these days.
  8. What we know so far: They are going to pay for baby food. They're providing a playpen. Compensation for gas, and payment...unknown. I hate to say it, but this sounds like they are trying to exploit the least palatable, and socially acceptable elements of the AB lifestyle for shock value. Men are raised believing that they must be masculine, and independent. While I don't agree with this viewpoint, it's ingrained in our culture. The image of a man regressing by eating food intended for a toothless infant, crawling (rather than standing on his own two feet,) and confined to an enclosure designed to prevent the helpless from injuring themselves elicits repulsion in most people. It is through this exploitation of what this station undoubtedly considers to be a "freak factor" they hope to catch the eye of the voyeuristic channel surfer. Whether out of curiosity, fear, disgust, or (rarely) admiration, everybody loves a freak show. Unfortunately, this is how most of society views AB/DLs. We're already aware of our own existence, and those who aren't look on us with unfavorable perceptions. Anyone who went on this show would've helped no one, and brought harm to themselves.
  9. Clarification: It's called Secret Powder Fresh (not dry)....my bad. And it takes some time for the scent to build after being sprayed (I wasn't implying that you should spray the can for 30 seconds). P.S. Being a deodorant, it leaves "the area" smelling fresh, even after "use" (I can only vouch for #1).
  10. I was at my Grandmother's this weekend, having forgotten to pack deodorant, when my Grandma offered a spray of a product she didn't care fore as a substitution. MUCH to my surprise the scent of this aerosol was nearly identical to that of Pampers. I sprayed a bit on some Goodnights I'd bought on sale, and the illusion was uncanny! Next time you're in the aerosol deodorant section, try spraying Secret "Powder Dry" in the air, and let me know whether or not the scent triggers certain pleasant memories. P.S., it takes about 30 seconds for the scent to build up.
  11. A 1% drop is hardly noteworthy. And the news story itself said it was specifically a drop in baby diaper sales. People live quite a bit longer than they have in the past, and with more and more senior-citizens returning to diapers, an increase in diaper rash cream would make sense. Also, it wasn't long ago that Pampers, the most popular diaper for infants in America, revamped their dry max product to be thinner, yet still absorbent. Since the redesign there has been a large increase in reports of rashes, and or chemical burns (mothers have actually petitioned en masse for a return of the previous product). This in of itself could explain those percentage changes. It sounds like the channel itself admitted that their story was just hypothetical, based on supporting, yet inconclusive evidence. It seems news networks will twist any bit of information to it's most sensationalistic outcome for increased ratings.
  12. I suppose it could have been handled worse. Here's the clip:
  13. Well, this sounds less like a diaper fetishist, and more like a rapist/murderer, or human trafficker who didn't want a mess to clean up. Not that that's any better, mind you, though not as directly harmful to the AB/DL community.
  14. That first article is inaccurate. The second article has the correct details. He never put diapers on the students, that part was mimed. Imaginary diapers. The claim is that the game was created by six of the students, and he just carried it on. Either way, it's inappropriate. It seems, however, that the most damning evidence in the case was the diapers he had at home, and the images on his computer. He had photos of adults in diapers, and loli manga, no actual photos of children. Was this guy a pedo? Maybe, I definitely don't agree with the lolicon at home, or the baby game in the classroom; but the possibility that this is what drove home a guilty verdict, is kind of scary. How long until just the fact that a teacher has a diaper fetish gets him fired (which I believe happened with Baby Ella,) or worse?
  15. Actually it has a broader spectrum of applications. Petroleum oil in general, at least (plastic is petroleum based) The mycologist Paul Stamets discussed this at a talk he gave almost 10 years ago (the same species of mushroom was involved,) and he found that the oil covered mound not only became fertile again, the mushrooms grown were edible. This is not only useful for oil spills, but we'd be able to safely degrade oils along with organic products like wood and paper. Most clothing is also plastic these days (polyester,) so throw that into the mix as well. I wish I could gain acclaim in the scientific community by lifting someone else's discovery a decade later, as Dr Vázquez-Morillas has done.
  16. <i>"That's when I saw it: the twin built in trampolines. Who knew these things even existed. Not I. I strolled over, trying to wait patiently for the kids to have their turn and finally got my chance. I jumped on it - - literally and figuratively. I jumped and I learned. Trampolines are fun. Capital "F" Fun. Seriously fun. I jumped and I jumped and I jumped. I giggled and jumped some more. And then I jumped again. And then it hit me. I felt a little damp. Down there. Yes, that down there. So what did I do? I jumped again. Jumping on a built-in trampoline is freaking Fun. I jumped and giggled and finally moved so the pushy two year old girl could take a turn."</i> This woman is a professional writer? How on earth did she get that job?
  17. Afterward, a man behind the counter asked Thoms if she realized the person being beaten was not a woman and was transgendered. "I told him, `No I didn't and I don't care,'" she said. "He said he worked with her and she had a smart mouth — in other words, she deserved it." I don't care how "smart" her mouth was; I can't fathom what words could warrant a savage beating. I haven't watched the video yet; I don't know if I can.
  18. That's actually the least defamatory mainstream article about AB/DL's I've ever read, which is saying a lot, considering it's about a registered sex offender. Most reporters would have stated that this fetish is perverse, and would have lazily created an association between it and pedophilia; but Lisa Rogers didn't go for the easy kill (which would have been more sensationalistic, and sold more papers) An uncommon shred of ethicism in journalism; kudos to her.
  19. That opening sentence sounds like its being proposed that Japan incinerate their elderly as a source of fuel. How could that get past an editor? "Well, its a cold winter,....and Grandpa's not really doing anything useful....open the furnace, tell him there's medicine inside."
  20. A bit of a catch 22 in my opinion....with DADT, you are discriminated against in the sense that you musn't let anyone know of your sexual orientation by regulation. With DADT repealed, you musn't let anyone know of your sexual orientation for fear of your personal safety. Kind of a hollow victory really. The death of DADT isn't going to change the intrinsic nature of the sort who signs up for service in the first place. In the end, you're working with xenophobes who's basal instinct/driving force is to destroy/"defend" themselves against those they view as "different" (regardless of the quasi-patriotic decision for which they believe they'd enlisted). Queer, Cambodian,....apples, oranges.
  21. So you're saying this isn't a glorious space diaper?
  22. good find! It's a shame she doesn't seem to have picked up other tendencies. Likely, it will give her premature wrinkles around the mouth (like straws, and cigarettes)but it's still cute as hell.
  23. Must..buy...2012 Toyota Sienna,...must..... It was pretty cute, but it's still a viral ad. (in fact, I think I might be coming down with something).
  24. Hmm, you may be right BP. I found this through google image search; from a page which is unfortunately missing. Period Panties (inside out, but a pretty close match.) Incontinence Panties (I've seen some that look a lot more like the one's in the video too, don't know who makes them). "That time of the month" would certainly explain the mood (still odd for a video from the late 80's though). Would a period panty be as thick in the back as seen in the girl's backside photo? Also noteworthy, is Sky's screencap which shows a definitive darkened area (stain or shadow) that goes partway up the padding. I suppose it's hard to say whether that apparent stain is yellow or red (looks kinda' orange). Edit: watching the video at 1:50, that "stain" (which I didn't notice until sky pointed it out)sure looks awfully yellow, and moves with her. I was leaning toward period panty, but now I'm not so sure.
  25. "reverse angle" Notice how thick it looks between the legs too. Clearly this is a diaper (and in some moments when the light hits it, it appears to have a plastic cover as well). What's the premise? How did the director convince her to wear it for this scene, and what was the explanation given to Eddie Money as to how it represents his song? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he did, but it's definitely a mystery.
