  1. I just tried some cvs disposables. They are a little thin but great for daytime use or doubling at night. The plastic is very crinkley and they have six tapes. The padding is like the old walgreens diapers from about ten years ago. The padding has that kind of quilted look and it does not break apart like attends after being worn awhile. Cvs also sells these in the stores in size XL. Overall they seem to be as absorbant as attends classics and much more comfortable.
  2. I doubt anything selling retail is all that great. Also, at 16.99 + shipping, you could order online just about anywhere that sells plastic pants.
  3. Yep. Just like gas. It amazes me how oil goes up 3 dollars a barrel, gas jumps 30 cents a gallon. Two days later, oil goes down 4 dollars gas goes down a nickel!
  4. It all comes down to oil prices. If oil goes up, it cost more to make, and ship everything from the materials to the finished product.
  5. Try using a cloth backed diaper or disposable underwear underneath. That way, the outer diaper won't slide around as much. Poke holes or cut slits in the inner one. I find it also helps with the fit if the inside diaper is a smaller size than the outer. Using cloth backed inside also seems to keep things a little cooler than two plastic backed.
  6. Nice try Tigger. Thanks for trying to get the thread back on course. Looks like too much gasoline has already been thrown on the fire though. Hold on tight, I think this ride is going to get bumpier!
  7. The light support type do work good at holding things in and are comfortable. I have never tried any of the ones that look like they could stop an armor piercing bullet over diapers. The only down side is the heat build up. They seem to get hotter than even plastic pants over a disposable.
  8. Personally, if I wear for extended periods it becomes easier to wet. I get to a point that I can just let it flow without really thinking about it. This does present a problem when I'm not diapered afterwords. I kind of have to remind myself to hold it.
  9. Actually that is how my Mom got me out of diapers. I was a cloth wearing baby. Mom said when she started making me wear disposables, I started using the toilet. Now, I love nothing better than a thick crinkly disposable between my legs!!
  10. If this is a dumb question I apologize. I am just curious. Something that usually comes up in diaper reviews is the term flooding. Does incontinence cause your bladder to empty more frequently with less force or does it fill to capacity and "flood", causing cheaper diapers to overflow and leak before absorbing all of the fluid?
  11. If you are shaving make sure to use a very sharp razor. Also, shampoo works much better than shave gel for me. I can't remember where I read that, but it works and helps cut down on the itching and razor burn.
  12. My three rules for porta-potties...... Don't breathe, Don't sit, Get out fast!
  13. I would have gone ahead and paid, then gone to customer service for an adjustment. That way you would not hold up the line, and all of the work could be done from your receipt discreetly.
  14. http://www.myprotex.com/ Check out their Big Baby Style pants.
  15. Dressed up as Cupid for my wife once for Valentines day.
  16. I found a local pharmacy that sells attends 10 classic. I decided to try them. I went in, scoped out who was there and went to the incontinence aisle. I grabbed a bag, and walked to the register holding my head up high. I always try to look like I'm on a mission no matter how scared I am I'll see someone I know. Anyway, I got to the register. (Here comes the embarassing part) A lady in line turns around, looks at me, then my attends, and then looks me in the face with kind of a snooty, dirty look. It ticked me off and made me forget the nervousness. So, I return the favor with a "Do you have a problem?" look. BAM! She looks quickly at her shoes grabs her stuff and leaves. I left the shop and guess who is sitting in her car next to mine. What do you know? She looked up and saw me and looked away before we could make eye contact. Remember, no matter how nervous you are, always act confident and you will save yourself from alot of embarassing moments.
  17. Sitting in a pretty well flooded one right now...... We'll see.
  18. Just got some Attends 10 Classic. I really like how they feel and fit. They seem to kind of mold to your body. Can't wait to see how they hold up to a wetting. Something that surprised me, they are blue not white. They were also pretty cheap, $14 for 24.
  19. Does anyone else get these little pop ups showing your IP address and your browser info while reading the board?
  20. I heard a driver ( can't remember who) say once that they usually dehydrate so fast it usually isn't an issue. However, I can't remember the exact comment, but, he followed that up by saying they just go in the old firesuit (without straight out saying they just pee their pants) if they have to.
  21. Did anyone see the commercial with the drivers playing a video game this past weekend? The commercial showed several drivers playing a game against an older teenager. When they showed Mark Martin, the teen asks him if he is ever really going to retire (Nascar fans will know what that is about), Mark asks him if he was ever going to stop wearing diapers. Maybe diaper wearing won't ever be totally accepted, but it seems as if it is at least becoming less of a stigma.
  22. I got my samples!!! Wow! These are the thickest I have tried. They are also the first I have used that did not leak when I flooded laying on my back. They are also the best fitting diaper I have tried. It is nice to have a diaper that fits those of us with a bit spare tire.
  23. abaip.com is discreet about shipping. You can order samples to bags to cases. Shipping is usually same day if you order early.
