  1. BoyRicky, I'm sorry to hear that someone wrote something mean on your blog. You have a great site and the enthusiasm and happiness that you use to describe your relationship always makes me smile. I think from the gist of your post you are saying that despite all the visitors to your site the only response you got was negative. If you had received ten positive messages in addition to the one negative you wouldn't feel so hurt. I hope you don't close down your site. I think it does help the community a great deal. Negative comments are just a part of the internet - people will post things that they would never say out loud. Because the internet is so anonymous people can act however they want, and, because it takes so little effort to post something... Cheer up and try to ignore the negativity. One person shouldn't be able to affect you so much. Let your visitors know that if they like something that they should make it known. Good luck and make sure to focus on the positive!
  2. I have worn depends refastenable underwear (or similar) for working out and jogging before. They don't break up or clump. After getting a friction rash I decided it's just easier go without a diaper and just 'let it go'. Most jogging shorts are thin and don't absorb water anyway so your pee will just run out without leaving any noticeable marks - especially if they're black. Also, if I'm only jogging 3-4 miles I generally don't need to pee during that time, but that's just me.
  3. I'm 24/7 going on nearly 4 months now. The right combination for me so far has been abena super-plus in the day and secure plus x-plus at night with plastic pants over them. I keep everything shaved down there and shower at least twice a day to keep my skin clean. I don't use any skin products other than lotion. Wetting has definitely gotten exponentially easier over the past month. I still notice when I wet but it takes very little effort to let go. I wake up to wet at night but I think that is more due to me being such a light sleeper than anything. Messing seems to be what has changed the most. It seems I almost automatically mess as soon as I wake up in the morning with no effort whatsoever. I have messed a couple of times during the day but very rarely. At this rate I would say that I would become bowel incontinent before bladder incontinent. I don't go to the gym but I do go jogging or exercise outside. At these times I don't wear a diaper - I just let go and deal with the consequences. It's usually dark out and no one is around anyway. For some reason it's rare that I'll wet myself when working out, though. In the past I wore depends disposable underwear for working out. They're cheap and provide plenty of absorbency for an hour-long workout session.
  4. Welcome to college! You should be excited to be in a position where you can be whoever you want to be as you now no longer have to fit into the mold you created for yourself up through high school. Talk to that kid who is openly gay and there is a good chance that coming to college was a liberating experience for him because he could finally come out of the closet and be who he is. In high school most kids start experiencing changes in personality/sexuality/whatever but have a hard time changing because they are in the same surroundings they've been in their whole life and your environment really does shape you. When you go to college, in a new environment, it's usually a very freeing feeling as you are able to drop your old habits or lifestyle, etc. As for wetting the bed, it's not completely uncommon that you will meet a lot of people who will or have wet the bed just due to plain old intoxication. Since my college days I've probably wet the bed a dozen times after a night of drinking. And, I've heard plenty of stories about others who wet the bed in similar situations. Since you also wear diapers during the day sometimes I think I would just do as you have been doing - just be open, don't go to any great lengths to hide your diapers, and answer truthfully if someone asks you about them. It's ok to tell people you are close with but I see no need to announce to everyone that you wear diapers. Think about why you wear diapers, why you need to wear them, what would happen if you didn't wear them, and accept them as a necessity. Once you can accept them you will find everything will fall into place. To avoid the smell of used diapers, just take out your garbage everyday. Use a trashbag liner in your bin to keep the bin from smelling. Wash it out with bleach once a week. Keep it clean. Use an air freshener in your room. Good luck!
  5. That is embarrassing. I too have found mysterious tears in my diapers on occasion. Once was while wearing overnight, sleeping. I pulled down my plastic pants in the morning and all this pee poured onto the floor! I found three or four stretch-mark type tears near the bottom of the crotch. Lucky for the plastic pants! The other time happened while I was at work - apparently there was a pinhole leak right at the front of my diaper. I was walking around all afternoon with a quarter-sized wet-spot on the front of my pants. It was embarrassing but at least it didn't make it look like I was wearing a diaper. I'm sure people thought i 'should' be wearing diapers.
  6. I have been 24/7 since the beginning of October as well. Before that I would say I wore diapers about 60% of the time for a couple of years, including to work, etc. I have had a few rough spots where I had several leaks and I lost some of my confidence in my diapers and being able to 'just let go'. Since then I have switched diaper brands and I now feel I'm starting to finally make progress as far as 'letting go' is concerned. I've also been less embarrassed about changing in public bathrooms and didn't really care when I had my (diaper) bag searched when I entered a government building. I wouldn't say that my social life hasn't changed at all as I do find myself less excited about going out to a bar with friends or whatever (I don't really care about being 'discovered' by the general public, though). My girlfriend, whom I live with, is completely supportive but I think is a little bit disappointed that I haven't lost more control already. Anyway, I'm open to chatting with others about their progress and changes they've noticed in their bodies. Feel free to send my a message!
  7. That's a really cool story. I kind of wish better diapers were sold in stores in the US so me buying diapers could be a bit more public if I wanted it to be. Anyways, I wonder what that girl was thinking, seeing another younger person buying diapers. She was probably open to saying 'hi' considering she pointed out the fact that she had the same diapers.
  8. I've been wearing full-time for almost 3 months now and I do have to say it has mostly been great. Recently I switched back to molicare supers from secure-plus in the daytime and I have much more confidence that I won't leak - the secure-plus (regular, not x-plus) just didn't hold enough for me and I would always worry about leaking. As for other changes, I've noticed that peeing becomes a completely different thing when you never see yourself doing it, i.e. the urine leaving your body. Now peeing for me has become a feeling of urgency around my midsection followed by a release and a spreading warmth. It's almost like I don't associate it with liquid at all. It's just strange how your perceptions can completely change after wearing diapers for awhile.
  9. I've worn diapers on flights plenty of times. It is quite convenient! Also, I've started using the family restroom in the airports to change in for extra privacy. No one has bothered me about it yet as I don't think many people use them.
  10. Hi BriGuy, I experienced something similar when I was about 23-24. I would suddenly have to pee very badly with little or no lead up. This was also around the time when I started drinking coffee regularly. I think caffeine gives me a bit of an overactive bladder because if I avoid it it seems like my bladder behaves normally...at least a little bit. I still get sudden urges to go even if I've avoided caffeine, but it's not as frequent. I've been wearing diapers pretty regularly for the past couple of years or at least when I know I'm going to be out-and-about and drinking a coffee. It got to the point where if I had a coffee I would spend the next couple of hours rushing, in desperation and pain, to find a bathroom every 20 minutes or so. It was very annoying and disruptive to my life. My advice to you would be to monitor what you drink, perhaps avoiding caffeine/alcohol and see what happens.
  11. I've been wearing 24/7 for about a month now and have just been using my diaper for messing about 95% of the time. I'm pretty regular most of the time. The few times that I have used the toilet I have noticed how annoying it can be - I mean, when I just go in my diaper I can be doing other things until I'm done. If I use the potty, I have to sit around and wait for minutes and minutes until I'm done. I don't know if my bowel habits have changed but I definitely have less patience to sit around on the potty!
  12. I've never had a chat with someone before so I guess I can't really relate. It is too bad that people you don't even know would behave that way. I guess the anonymity of being online allows people to act however they please. I suppose you could avoid that whole situation by only chatting with people you've gotten to know a little bit via posting or emailing.
  13. I've been wearing diapers for so many years that I've realized they are very hard to detect to the casual observer. For those who are just starting out, I initially wore a pair of boxer shorts over my diaper and then usually wore pants made from a thick material, like jeans. The boxer shorts could be hiked up a bit to cover the top of the diaper, so, in case you bent over, people would only see your boxer shorts, if anything. They also helped to dampen the crinkle sound. These days I just wear whatever pants over my diaper. Sometimes I fold the top of the diaper down (you know, the part that's just plastic) and have the waistband of my pants sitting over the top.
  14. Well, to keep on topic... I have worn a diaper TO a massage but took it off before the massage. Most legit massage centers have you lie under a sheet, with your underwear on and then they pull back the sheet to massage various parts of your body. My sister is a massage therapist and she told me that a female client came in one day that left a diaper on during the massage. Usually the massage therapist, when massaging your back, will tuck the sheet into your underwear. My sister said she just tucked the sheet into the womans diaper.
  15. I posted in here somewhere that although my girlfriend will change me I preferred to change myself. I don't know why I felt this way, though. The past two weeks, however, I agreed to let her change me whenever I needed a changing and I have to admit, now I love it! It's such a nice, soothing feeling to be wiped down, lotioned up, powdered and pampered. I still do the taping up myself as I think it's pretty difficult to get the diaper nice and snug if you don't do it yourself. I don't know why I was hesitant to let her change me in the past.
  16. That does suck. However, I always believe that something good comes out of everything bad that happens, you just gotta look for it.
  17. Though I'm not incontinent, I have worn diapers plenty of times to bars and have learned that it's best to stay away from beer - save that for drinking at home. Stick with drinks on the rocks or martinis. Also, as changing at a bar can be nearly impossible due to stalls without doors, etc., pick bars that have one-person bathrooms. Do your best to not change at bars, though, as people will start banging on the door if you take more than 3-4 minutes! Going out for beers/drinks is one of the most difficult things for me if I want to wear I diaper. Good question - I'm curious to what other people say.
  18. Good question. I was wondering the same thing myself. I just ordered a case of secure-Xplus and was thinking about ordering a case of bambinos as well. Aside from being $10 more per case, I would hope the bambinos would be just as functional/reliable. And yes, I would pay $10 more per case to have 'baby' printed on the front of my diaper.
  19. After many months of wearing these I still believe they are the best diaper out there - I was ordering them when I could've been ordering Abenas or Molicares from XPmedical for much less. Now, the big news is that SecurePlus is now shipping for free and the prices have been lowered. I did switch back to abenas for a case but found that despite the extra thickness they were not as absorbent - also the tapes tended to come loose; not the case with SecurePlus. I do like to mix up my diapers and try the old standbys - Molicares and Abenas - but with the added incentive of free shipping, its tough to stray from my SecurePlus'.
  20. Oh yeah, I will add that I had my girlfriend, who has a fairly thin build, wear a Secure X-plus under a pair of stretch/workout type pants on a road trip recently. We stopped for gas at a rather busy gas station and I made her get out to pump the gas. I don't think anyone noticed except this one teenage boy whose eyes looked like they were going to pop out of his head! I don't know what he thought but the expression on his face was priceless. Needless to say, the diaper was very obvious. So, don't wear stretch pants.
  21. Ditto here. I was very paranoid at first but now I would be really suprised if anyone noticed I was wearing a diaper. I don't wear tight pants but I don't wear baggy clothes either.
  22. Haha! Yeah, I should do that. I guess I'm also a little shy about her diapering me as well. I'll have to get over that!
  23. Well, from my experience if you are wearing depends at night you will always experience leaks. You can use depends boosts, at least 2, in your diaper and that might help. As far as being afraid to order diapers, you could always have them sent your local post office as general delivery or to any other package receiving service like UPS Store, Mailboxes etc., etc. They will just give you a call when your package arrives and you pick it up at your convenience. They usually will charge a buck or two, nothing big. So, order yourself a package of better diapers and save the depends for daytime use. Good luck!
  24. My girlfriend is sitting about 5 feet away, is online as well, and we're watching football. I'm wearing a diaper right now. She will change me if I want and likes it when I wear diapers - which is good as I wear diapers almost all the time. I usually prefer to change myself, however, as she's just not as good at getting those diapers on nice and tight!
  25. I wear 24/6 but will go full-time this fall. My girlfriend is fully supportive and is going to make sure I keep diapered! It will be interesting to see what happens.
