i agree, diapers are going to be your main investment, so i'd go with double what you have plus some boosters. some people think wearing plastic pants or a onsie is good and some not, you'll just have to find out on your own.

also don't forget the wipes, i'd say at least 4 per diaper change if you use baby wipes, so make sure you have lots of those! and baggies for disposal, just use shopping bags as you can buy those cheaply from a dollar store, or so i hear.

also if you don't live alone you'll need someway to keep your diapers hidden until garbage day, so possibly buy another kitchen garbage can and some more bags and use that.

well, i don't know about the Cuddles AIO Velcro diaper/nappy, but as for tips, you should wash and dry it about 3 times before actual use just to get it clean and fluffy. also since it's an All In One or AIO don't set the dryer on high after the first wash unless you want to melt the outer waterproofing, medium or low would be best.

if this is your only one then i'd wash it after you change into a different diaper so it doesn't stink too bad. if you had 15 more then you could get a pail liner and wash every other day or so, but its your call. most people find cloth too hard to handle. hope this helps

i either wear some cloth prefolds or cvs brand disposables, now that the temp is going down into the upper 90's i'll be wearing more often without the feeling like i'm wearing an oven around my waist.

Right with the above! just take things nice and slow for her when you do, be very tender and considerate towards her feelings as she'll be opening herself up to you in a very vulnerable way. doing things with her that you want her to do for you is a great place to start and perhaps some cuddles wouldn't be a bad idea either...

i agree with wakko. you being hard on yourself creates more negitivity which leads to being even more hard on yourself. you need to make a positive list thus creating more positive and leads to EVEN more positives.

Those huge styro planes came out in the mid '80's. Never tried one, were they any good? I really should have, just never got around to it. They looked like they had too much bulk for the weight so that you could not get enough oomf into it to make it fly. i remember i had those huge styro-foam ones from the early to mid 90's i believe.... that is until a bird hit the tail fin breaking it off and it went crashing to the ground, lol. the bird on the other hand recovered, if only slightly before hitting the ground and flew away...
