  1. So I'll give a quick update on my own success. It has been almost 19 months now since I've decided to go 24/7. Regarding the 12 months, it will (in most people's cases) take longer than 12 months to reach that incontinent feeling. I will say around the 12-13 month period is when I realized that I was no longer able to flood a diaper. I would go, even if it hadn't in some time and thought I had a lot of fluid to pass, but in reality, not that much came out. Not flooding diapers is a good indicator your passing enough in a short matter of time and your keeping your bladder small. They'll obviously still leak if you exceed their capacity, but not in one go.
  2. @Inconito I'll try to put more stuff together for more sharing experiences soon. The one thing I started was to never stop or slow the flow once it started and by just doing that over and over again it starts the process of keeping things relaxed down there because that squeezing feeling is those muscles stopping you from going right then and there. I still drink a lot during the day for more than just keeping stuff passing through, drinking more keeps the urine smell down. But you'll notice you're on the right path when you start going like instantly after drinking something (like 10-20 mins) but you won't leak. When you first start, you'll notice you flood a lot, which can easily cause leaks. But around where I am now you'll notice that you don't need to change as quick because you're giving your diapers enough time to wick (if you wear cloth that is).
  3. For 50/50 control, this could be hard. I actually think this can be harder than either wearing once in awhile or wearing 24/7 because you will either start traveling forward or backward in becoming incontinent. You will have to hold it some times in order to have a once in a blue moon accident but otherwise being able to void when willing. That means holding it certain times and other times not so much. I haven't done enough research on this but you could end up with accidents when not wearing or wetting at night (over a very long period of doing this). Perhaps someone with more knowledge could give some advice.
  4. I agree with Blake, he would be the guy with the knowledge in this area.
  5. I'm not 100% there yet but yes, I am working towards incontinence. I've made the decision about 14 months ago due to a combination of issues (anxiety disorder, asperger's, IBS) and honestly have never looked back. To me, as weird as this sounds, being incontinent gives me comfort, confidence (even knowing I could have a leak), and assurance.
  6. When I was really young, I had a Winnie the Pooh plushie that I use to rub his ears until all the fabric came off. Believe it or not, I still have it. Found it in my parents attic when moving stuff, but I was never really attached to it, I just loved to rub the fabric (his ears). However growing up from a baby into a toddler, I had a blankie and believe it or not, I still have the same blankie. Yeah, almost 25 years later (guessing here), I still have the same blankie that I had when I was like two and it's still on my bed every night.
  7. A long time coming update, lol. So as you may already know, summer is now officially over (although I must admit, it is still stinking hot over here on the east coast this week). Disposables are definitely hotter to wear in the heat but cloth will smell quicker once it becomes damp (duh, lol).
  8. Personally I like them, they're really cute looking and if you want to show off that little look, they'll work. Also as many have said, they are unbelievably comfy. However, depending upon how you plan to use them will be the key if they're worth it or not. They're not like a birdseye or gauze prefold, they're made of microfiber which means they'll absorb a good amount of liquid but they don't wick. Since they don't wick, it can be a problem if you get up and sit down a bit since microfiber is like a sponge, squeeze it and the urine will come out.
  9. I'm almost an entire year of going 24/7 (Aug 28th) and I'll be posting an update in the incontinent desires section soon. For me it was a personal choice and if you're wanting to try it you have a long time to test it out, becoming incontinent by wearing doesn't happen over night. And even almost a year in, diapers still hold that magic for me; I heard for some it wanes after wearing a long time.
  10. This morning and like the rest, a gauze prefold and a gauze insert with suprima plastic pants. In about a few hours I'll switch over to a

  12. Baby Brian and Bettypooh - Thanks for the tips. I wonder how hot it will be with the plastic pants since I use cloth usually through out the day and night unless it is the weekends.
  13. Thanks for the warm welcomes and I'll be writing as much detail here as I have written down or
  14. I'm open to any questions or just stop by to say hello. Apologies if I come off so up front, my Aspergers may cause me to be so
  15. So I decided back over the summer after having some issues with my underwear constantly being stained that I would make the leap and go 24/7. Already being an AB and issues with IBS, I decided that I'm going to commit to being in diapers all the time. I also suffer from
