  1. Thanks all. As somebody whose been collecting Curity diapers (but mostly prefolds) off of eBay for years, I was really surprised to see something labeled "Curity" that I hadn't seen already. Pretty wild. Yeah, I ought to have clarified my "adult sized" comment. These are sized and shaped like adult prefolds. They certainly could be folded down for babies, but they're not shaped like any Curity baby diaper I've seen, nor like any modern "flat." But I'm leaning toward the "not a diaper" diagnosis anyway.
  2. I saw these on eBay a couple of days ago and had to pounce. I've never seen their like before. The seller called them Curity baby diapers, however they have a few odd traits that I've never seen in a Curity diaper before. These include: They're big! 32x24" - one might say "adult-sized" (I actually pinned one on with diaper pins and it's a decent fit!) They're double-woven / muslin gauze They have two layers of fabric and are serged all the way around They have ties at the four corners (pictures below) So, uh... What the heck are these things? It's tempting to say that they're adult diapers meant to tie at the hips (like Snibbs), but I'm 99% sure that's wrong. Maybe they're mats for cribs or incubators or something? Meant to tie to the bars in the corners? (shrug) All guesses welcome.
  3. The tabbed diapers are all gone. Still have some of the pull-ups, however.
  4. FWIW, I still have four bags of the pull-ups and one bag of the tabbed diapers. ~Cottonbutt
  5. That T-shaped "original" arrangement is one I use and enjoy. Easy to audition without any sewing, too: Just pin them into that shape with a few extra diaper pins. I grew up wearing Curity prefolds, and have been collecting them from eBay for a while. A few years ago, I hired somebody to sew me some "Curi-Tees," as I call them. First batch was sewn edge-to-edge, but I found that to be a little fragile, possibly because of the lightweight gauze fabric. Second batch used about a half inch of overlap between the diapers. I was worried that I'd feel that when I sat on it, but as I almost always place a couple of extra diapers down the middle, the overlap can't be felt. That second batch has been in my rotation for a few years now and is holding up well.
  6. For those who wanted these but couldn't figure out to get them, I'm offering for sale bags of both the Pikachu tabbed diapers and the pull-ups, both size XL. For the diapers, this equates roughly to a US size 6, for the pull-ups, roughly a US size 4T-5T. Each bag of diapers or pull-ups will ship with four loose ones as well, so if you're meaning to keep the bag unopened (e.g. for collecting), you'll still have a few to look at and play with. The loose diapers will include two of each print. Shipping will be in a plain brown (discreet) box. I've put the bags and loose diapers in heavy-gauge Ziplocs with dessicant, and bubble-wrapped them, so they'll arrive in great shape. See pictures below. Diapers Price: $75 + $25 s/h USPS Priority Mail (US destinations only, please.) What you get: One unopened bag of 28 plus 4 loose diapers, for a total of 32. As of this writing, I have 7 of these available. Pull-ups Price: $75 + $25 s/h USPS Priority Mail (US destinations only, please.) What you get: One unopened bag of 32 plus 4 loose diapers, for a total of 36. As of this writing, I have 9 of these available. Payment by PayPal. PM with interest. --- Some pictures of the tabbed diapers: ...and the pull-ups:
  7. Don't be too eager to drink the sour punch being offered on this thread.
  8. Perhaps unbelievably, Pampers Cruisers 7 are now smaller than Baby Dry 6.
  9. I'm impressed that you all are breaking Boingos.
  10. I'm hoping we eventually see an adult prefold made in the cotton/bamboo blend lately being used for baby prefolds. I bought a few in toddler size from Green Mountain, and the feel is heavenly! Green Mountain sources from Ashar, as does Changing Times, so hopefully Robert will surprise us someday soon. In the meantime, his regular cotton twill prefolds are king in my book.
  11. I use the All "Free and Clear" detergent on my prefold diapers -- and everything else -- with good results.
  12. Back in the late 90's when eBay was new, I bought a package of 1989 Pampers for something like $50. I used them almost immediately -- heavenly, even though modification was obviously required.
  13. IMO, Snappis only work well if you're on the small side, or else if you use more than one of them (e.g., one per side).

  15. I've never have had much luck with "hands-free" masturbation. Massaging the front of my diaper with one or both hands always does the trick, though.
  16. Perhaps oddly, though I love my cloth prefolds, I've always looked on plastic/rubber pants as an unfortunate necessity. I think a lot of that has to do with my childhood diaper experiences. I had access to baby prefolds (but no plastic pants) from age six until I left for college. Consequently, the experience was more about the padding and about masturbation than about using the diapers for their intended purpose. Even today, though I enjoy wetting my adult cloth diapers, I wear them without plastic pants far more often than with.
  17. I'm pretty sure that most folks, even those who claim they do, don't really know why they're into diapers. You frequently hear reasoning based on bedwetting, jealousy of siblings, lateness or
  18. Most of the cutesy baby diaper names -- Huggies, Pampers, Luvs, etc. -- are a bit of a turn-on for me, I'll confess. The adult diaper names are quite the opposite, much like the diaper euphemisms they're often paired with -- "briefs", "absorbent underwear", etc.
  19. I would love to be able to buy American-made prefold cloth diapers, but in my opinion, they are both inferior to and more expensive than the imports. My biggest beefs are the use of flannel and the construction technique, which entails sewing the entire perimeter of the diaper -- both things that serve only to reduce cost. Try finding a flannel baby prefold that's being marketed as an actual diaper instead of a burp cloth. Good luck! The diaper-diapers are all in cotton twill and other more open weaves, which, not surprisingly, work a lot better.
  20. There is such a thing as too much diaper, IMO. I've got a few of just about every size of adult prefold. I like to have just enough width so that the front can remain folded narrow when fastened. That makes for a snug, supportive fit. If you have to pin on your hips, then I would say your diaper is too small. Oddly, in this "too small" scenario, the diaper can actually feel looser and baggier in front than a properly-sized one would.
  21. (Joining the conversation late -- sorry!)
  22. Things haven't changed much for me, though I didn't really "come out."
