I would contact the local police, I've found threads on other sites stating that opening other person's mail (including parcels delivered by FedEx/UPS) is a crime. If your local police agency won't make an arrest, contact the Post Office to see if they have the power to enforce the law.
I would ignore what was in the package, because if they did it to you, chances are they've done it to others.
I have been around the law enforcement business for a long time now, and I can tell you that there is no crime here. Sorry you were embarrassed, but no crime here. Move forward and use it as a lesson for the future.SoakedinTexas
We may or may not be on the same wave lenght here. It is a FACT that opening USPS mail addressed to another is a FEDERAL felony, be it by parents/siblings in the same house or the heighbor down the street that accidently received it.
The problem we have here is what if any, laws apply to second or third parties opening packages for/at other than USPS addressees.
Soaked in TX, nothing personal,* you may be right, but "having been around the law enforcement business for a long time" as I have been too, does not make you or me an expert on all federal, state, and local laws. If the OP wishes to persue it, they should.

If I'm reading you right, you only 'rebooted.'
Try, as I have done to solve some problems, "Shut Down" completly, even if it means pulling the plug, then start. At first chance hit "reboot." Silly as it seems, the shutdown, start, then reboot procedure has cleaned a bunch of problems for me.
On Firefox too.

Last first. Almost all photo programs have ways to reduce sizes to fit posting requirements, check yours. I use Webshots on this desktop and used that and another easy one, whose name I can't recall, on my out of service laptop. Don't think I have to say, but after editing the 'big' pic, save the reduced as (Photo Number)"b" so you retain both.
Being old and cautious, personally I would only post a few of the best and suggest most of the list be taken down. The internet is NOT as anonymous as some think.
I don't 'collect' per se. I have items stashed around the house for personal protection that are also used for sport. A "Dirty Harry" .44 Mag is (always) sitting nearby. Gives me time to reach the 12 ga shotgun. If 'one' wants to find out what else I have, they will have to break in, but by that time 'they' will be too full of holes to care anymore. lol Yes, mostly joking, but my RIGHT to survive overrides someone B&E'ing to possibly do me harm.
Some of my custom firems are worth over $5-10,000. They are for sport shooting but will function just as well in a personal defense mode.

Please people, before replying to old posts, roll your curser over the poster's name to find out when they were last on here. The OP hasn't been here since January 29th and a couple others since early March.
Nothing against people wanting to match up, it is the annoyance of what seems to be an increasing trend of 'newbies' dragging up and posting on months to years old threads where the person they are replying to likewise hasn't been on here for those same months or years.

your numbers are wrong, environmentalists often don't do any research and will publish false reports that are allways in favor of their cause. Diapers only account for around %5 of USA garbage. Construction work waste from building and demolition along with manufacturing make up the most at around %40. The garbage we make has very little impact on the environment. It gets buried or burned to make power for homes, also we will never run out of landfill space unless they stop building new sites and landfills might be a great resorce or metals and fuel for furture genrations. If you are worried about the environment, don't have a kid. Other than that, don't bother trying to be "green", the difference is vanishingly small at the cost of higher prices and lower quality of life.

Well we are going for it. Most of the money to be made is from repairs used units and financing. We are going to join the two businesses I think we will do well. We have always been honest and understanding of our customers needs. So if we keep our standers we should do well.
BEST to you!! If you were anywhere near MI, I'd be down to your lot very soon with cash for a Jeep. Yes, cash, the last three cars, two used Jeeps and a '65 Plymouth cruiser, have all been paid for in cash. Just something great about paying 'cash' for cars instead of dealing w/fianceing. In retrospect, the first Jeep in '96 or so, was probably a bit stupid, as we sat in the showroom cubicle of the salesperson that had a big outside window and counted out about 10g's in cash.

Thanks all! Learned a lot today, mostly nomenclature, along with what some can do w/bikes.
I have one 'mountain' bike and two 'racing style(?)' bikes, that I don't ride much. Should ride more. lol Hehe, getting to the 'grey hair' age where my next bike will be either a pedal trike or a quad/trike electric scooter.
A friend has several usable bikes that he, SO, and their kids ride, but he also has somewhere between 50-100 "fixer uppers" that he needs to fix, sell, and or give away.
Side note; it's amazing what people throw out or give away on Freecycle sites, like fully functional bikes and other stuff. (How do you think he got most of those bikes?
) I got my mountain bike by dumpster diving at a self storage facility.

I often wish I knew the reasons for 'guest' and 'banned,' but know most are none of my business, unless I happen to catch the 'guesting' or 'banning' post by mods. This one caught my interest as s/he asked for a change then, sometime between then and now, went to guest.

(My opinion, I have no control over it.) I never thought of you as a stoner since 'dude' has been in use too long and refers to anyone.This name changing could get out of hand for many reasons. I tend to agree with owners of most forums that I'm on that name changes are only allowed for major reasons such as a name that referred to a job and one changed jobs or retired, etc. On one forum they wouldn't let a couple people change names, so the 'names' closed their accounts and opened new ones. Very confusing as they didn't list their former names and we thought who is this new one who writes like ....? My nickel's worth, that's two cents adjusted for inflation.

Just caught this part.
Fiberglass is what the name implies, it is spun glass, made much like cotton candy. The fibers can break and become very tiny 'slivers' that can penetrate the skin and be hard to find & remove. Trust me, I've worked with fiberglass enough to know that even a good soapy shower sometimes can't get it all off and have itched for days. (Mostly arms as I didn't wear long sleeves.)

Excuse me, but that statement makes no sense. (Actually, both your above posts seem rambling.) In close encounters, a head shot is fairly easy without "a scope of some kind." Been there, done that.
Unfortunately, most of you in the UK have slowly given up ALL rights to any kind of self defence, including using knives, flashlights, baseball bats, etc for protection. That farmer that shot the BG's after 3-4 break ins comes to mind.
On a tangent, it's just stupid what Olympians had to go through to take firearms into London. I think it is true still that British/UK sport & competition shooters have to leave the country to practice.
Here in the US we can carry.
The theater and school shootings of the past couple of years would have had fewer casualties if those who wished to had been carrying. Stupid lawmakers seem to want to disarm us in certain venues, while the bad guys don't care or obey the laws.
