For the procedure, I need to have a upper endoscopy, which, like a colonoscopy, is done under conscious sedation. That means that you aren't nearly as deep as you would be under general anesthesia. I have had them before and have worried about them. My problem now is that I work directly with the people who would be doing the procedure. While I trust them that they will not break HIPAA, I'm worried it might get awkward if I talk about liking to wear diapers.

I've been thinking a lot about being a DL and my constant desire to want to be diapered. When I say constant, I mean that I even talk about them in my sleep. I'm sure like most others, I think about diapers all the time. So much so, that I'm scared to have a procedure done that I need that is done under conscious sedation because I'm worried what I might say. So, I was thinking that I don't feel right when I'm not wearing. Kind of like those people who say that they don't feel like they are (insert gender). I feel like I have a hole in me and and it is only filled when I'm diapered. Does that make sense? Is it possible that the AB/DL thing goes so deep as to compare it to gender identity issues? It's like some part of me is damaged. Instead of undergoing some type of surgery to fix it, I just need to wear a disposable diaper to feel normal. I guess I've always felt this way, too.

He needs to realize that he is as much at fault here as you are. He might not think he has cheated on you because nothing physical happened, but he still emotionally cheated on you. I've been there. I did what your husband did. I convinced myself that what I was doing wasn't really cheating. I was severely depressed at the time. I had it happen today, also. I put a diaper on earlier only planning on wetting, since I don't really enjoy messing. About 15 minutes later, I got a sudden urge to poop. I tried to hold it, so I could make it to the bathroom, but it all just came out. I was glad I had protection on, otherwise I would have been doing a special load of laundry. Even so, it still warranted a shower.

Great haul. I actually saw three packs of Abena pull ups at a local thrift store last weekend for $8 a piece, but they were mediums and I wear large. It's amazing what you can find if you just look in the right places.

Puggsley, it's all cleared up now. Thanks for the concern. Have you looked into other catheter manufacturers? I was told at one point that I would need to self-cath when i kept going into retention because of my back. This was after having an indwelling foley catheter and leg bag for two weeks. Thankfully, I stopped going into retention and didn't have to go down that road. But, they had shown me several different catheters designed for self-cathing. They also said that there were ways to clean them so that you could use them more than once to save money. Are you cleaning and reusing your caths? They should be sterile when you are introducing them into your bladder. Also, have you considered trying a different brand, despite the fact that your insurance won't pay for them?

I have a history of recurrent uti'a. I thought I was done with then after 6 months of antibiotics, but I've had several since then, including possibly one now. The first one was the worst because I didn't know what was going on. I had a 104 degree temp for three days and finally had to get my parents to take me to the hospital because my asshole brother wouldn't. At that point I had a kidney, prostate, and bladder infection. I had to quit my new job because I was out for so long and didn't qualify for FMLA. I'd never had incontinence until this one. I'm now wishing I had some thinner, quieter diapers instead of Abena L4s. As for what helps, go buy some Azo at the chemist. It numbs your urinary tract, but also turns your pee red/orange and will stain clothing. If you wear disposables, this won't be a problem, but it would mess up cloth diapers. Also the pure cranberry juice that they sell at health foods stores. One brand I buy is Lakewood. This is strong stuff and very tart, but works better than the cocktail stuff they sell everywhere else. Also, I was told to put antibiotic ointment around the tip of my penis the last time I had to be catheterized for an extended period of time(2 weeks). I didn't get a uti, but I don't know if that helped or if it was my excessive cleanliness.

I'm wearing an Abena L4 that is completely dry. I'm hoping it will be wet by morning.

I have a Sony 5.1 in a box system. It is alright, but I'm starting to look for better. Instead of going with the latest and greatest THX type receiver, I'm looking for older, more vintage receivers at thrift stores. I'm hoping to find a nice pair of floor speakers and a Marantz receiver. I'm even interested in record players, so I can work on getting a nice vinyl collection going.
