  1. I would gladly take these off your hand and be more than happy to pay for shipping(assuming that it isn't an outrageious amount ;-) ). I will pm you my info if you want. Edit: oops, sry, didn't realize that this was in the selling forum until after I re-read your post, thought it was the "free" forum, I will still take them if the price is right though.
  2. I use Tranquility ATN quite a lot along side Abena X-plus. The ATN doesn't hold quite as much as the abena(although don't get me wrong the ATN still holds a lot), but the tapes are much better. The ATN is cut a lot smaller in my opinion than other briefs(I use size small), but the smaller cut fits my smaller build much better.
  3. I had noticed that the other day, the lack of "actual" diapers on drugstore.com, but they all came back, so you should be able to order. Oddly enough, the only true diaper that was available before the rest came back was the Abena x-plus small, the product I use, so I was quite happy to find that out as drugstore.com tends to have low prices on them. On a slightly different note, I have noticed that size small briefs have not quite been "disappearing", but "out of stock" instead, from places such as secure personal care and bambino, and a couple others I noticed. It's getting increasingly hard for me to order the products I need in the size I need, hopefully everything will be back in stock soon.
  4. Hi Angela, I tried Attends Youth(the blue kind with two sticky tapes per side) a while back, and I did not like them at all. While I found that the fit was decent enough for me, they greatly lacked in absorbency and I found them to be very "clammy" and "plasticy" on the inner padding. Because of this I am worried to try the breathable briefs. Also, you brought up a good point about the breathable covers clinging to bed sheets, I would have never thought of that myself. I do have a set of washable bed pads that are slippery on one side, so I could always start using those again to help with maneuvering in bed. Time is of the essence for me, so I can't really fiddle around with samples even though I would like to. I just need to take care of my problem as soon as possible before it gets any worse, and I just don't want to spend $50-$70 on a case of briefs that turn out to not work too well for me, so I need to be absolute sure before I buy. I now feel that the attends breathables, the prevails, the tenas, and the molicares would all be good choices. All I really need to find out now is the capacity that each brief can handle, and then I can order with confidence. Also, I should mention that I almost exclusively sleep on my side, so that may impact my choice of briefs. Thank you, Speedy_D's
  5. ronnie, ever hear of the saying "gimme gimme never gets"?
  6. I think I may give these a try... http://www.metromedicalonline.com/ib011.html
  7. In my opinion, I wouldn't see wearing only a diaper in public as being illegal. As many of you said, wearing a diaper covers more than underwear or a bikini. The problem comes from the stigma involved with adult diapers. I think that society feels that adult diapers, if being worn my someone, should be hidden at all time, as it is an "embarrassing" problem that no one would ever want anyone else to know about. With that being said, society would think that if someone were walking around in a diaper, then they are obviously doing it for attention/trouble, which is were the cops come into play. So, if there wasn't such a huge stigma attached to wearing adult diapers, I don't think anyone would ever have a problem wearing them in public. Now, I may not agree with someone walking around in public just wearing a diaper, but I also don't see it as being illegal(as long as the diaper provides decent coverage). Thanks, Speedy_D's
  8. I like to come here for two main reasons. First, there is a wealth of information here, much more when compared to just straight out incontinence forums. The second reason is the people. The people on this board are so nice and understanding. I've looked around some incontinence forums, and some of the people just seem bitter. I feel accepted here, and there are a ton of members that are around the same age as me, so it feels like I am not alone. And this may sound weird, but it feels nice to know people that are DL/AB. It is a nice change of pace to know people that like to wear diapers, and they don't see incontinence as a problem, so instead of having pity for you, they want to be like you. I don't mean to put anyone off by this statement, its just hard to word it correctly, hopefully everyone can understand what I'm trying to get across ;-).
  9. Thanks for the great replies guys, it's really appreciated. I did see the Abena X-plus air plus online, but I am apprehensive to get them as I have used the plastic backed x-plus's and supers before. Now, don't get me wrong, they were a great brief, but the tapes were constantly coming off. Strong tapes for me is of the utmost importance as size small are still a little too large for me, meaning I need to have really strong tapes to tape the brief as tight as possible to prevent any leaks. I have used the Tena cloth backed briefs(the green ones) before, and worked well enough for my needs, but I heard they recently switched to velcro "tape" tabs, which worries me as to how strong they will be. Grayfile: Are the prevail PM's available in a size small? Floaty: Thank you for sharing that information, I was wondering how the briefs are cloth back, but yet don't leak through the cover. Do you think the Molicare air active brief would be any better?, as it does advertise that it is the first completely breathable brief, but after reading what you wrote, I have my doubts. I do try to let things "air out", but most of the difficulty I am having is located at the bottom of my buttocks. Because I am in a wheelchair, it's really hard for me to allow this place to "breath". The only time I can do so is when I am sleeping, and I am always wearing a brief then. I went to Rite Aid yesterday, and got a tube of Desitin(sp?), so hopefully that will help. Thanks again everyone, Speedy_D's
  10. Hello all, I hope everyone is doing well. I've recently developed an issue, that is partly related to the warmer weather we have been beginning to have here in the states. This issue is in the form of a nasty rash in my private quarters. In trying to alleviate this problem, I decided to put the plastic backed disposable briefs away for the warmer months, and switch to cloth backed disposable. Purely cloth briefs are not an option as I don't think my main care taker(who is 22 mind you) wants to have to deal with washing them. Since I am fairly new to incontinence, I don't have much experience in the "cloth backed" area, and was hoping you guys could help to shed light on this issue. I've done a little research and narrowed i down to three specific brands(all of which in size small): Molicare Air Active, Attends Breathables, and Tena Ultras. I will be mainly using these at night, and require moderate/high absorbency, and it is a must that the taping system is reliable. At this point I am leaning towards the Molicares, as they seem to have gotten the best reviews, and seem to be the most absorbent. Cost is an issue, but I can scrape up some extra money for the sake of the "well-being" of my rear end ;-). Any information that can be shared on this topic is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Speedy_d's
  11. It's always nice to hear that people still have a heart in today's society. Now if only my insurance company would have the same mindset ;-).
  12. Maybe I'll have to give these new briefs a try, paying on average $70 a case doesn't really work well for my budget.
  13. Sounds like these are something that would work well for me, but I am disappointed to hear that they are not available inside the U.S. Small sized adult diapers tend to fit large on me, but youth diapers ride too low, resulting in both sizes leaking on me. It seems to me that these would be the in between, and work well for me. Maybe I should just pack my stuff up and move to Japan ;-).
  14. Hi Cailie, Yup, don't worry, I'm okay :-). I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy, therefore I have little to no muscle mass. - speedy
  15. Just heading to bed now, i will be sure to email you my address tomorrow morning asap. Thanks, speedy
  16. Hi Cailie, I feel your pain in this situation, I'm pretty much in the same boat. It's pretty much impossible for me to find a good fitting diaper in any store. I order all my stuff online, and still have trouble finding ones that fit properly. I'm slightly under 6 ft, 90 lbs(give or take a lb. or 2), with about 26" hips. I find that most small size diapers are too large on me. I've tried the tena youth, which fit fine in the hips, but rode too low. Attends youth fit me well, but they are simply not absorbent enough for my needs. In my opinion the best fitting diapers I have used so far are the Tranquality ATN small. Their small tends to run smaller than other companies, which gives me an almost perfect fit. While they are not the most absorbent brief, their good fit means less leaks due to gaps. Believe me, that from personal experience, you do NOT want to try the depends fitted briefs, they are HUGE on me and leak like a sieve, I'm they will be the same for you. I have tried the Tena small(cloth back) and they seem to work well, especially on warm days. I have also tried both the Abena x-plus and super, and molicare super plus, which all work well too, but were a little big on me. I currently use the Secure x-plus small. While again they are a little big on me, but due to the excellent taping zone, I can get them tight enough to prevent any leaks. Hopefully this information helps :-). Sincerely, Speedy_d's P.S. Dry 24/7 advertises on their site that they have a junior brief coming out soon, so that may be an option in the future.
  17. Hello, I wouldn't mind grabbing a bag sir :-). Insurance won't pay for my incontinence supplies, and as a college student, after tuition payments there isn't much money left for your basic staples ;-). I hope a money order would work okay to pay for the shipping...? Thanks, Speedy_d's
  18. Does anyone know why they stopped making them in small?
  19. I'm expecting a $5 payment on my paypal account for completing a survey. Once I get it I will gladly send it your way :-).
  20. I will be leaving tomorrow for college(mentioned in my intro) and I have a quick question, do Universities mind if you look at sites like this using their internet? I find it hard to believe they would block "porn" type sites and such. I would be very disappointed if I could not access this site once I get to college. Or, if they do allow it, do they somehow track it?(which I highly doubt considering the size of my campus). Also, another question which I'm VERY excited about. I've been researching this for some time and found a Brooks pharmacy 1 mile away from my campus, which my electric wheelchair can easily reach. The store actually carries Abena abri-form diapers! Jackpot! First question, which is better, the super fitted briefs or the x-plus fitted briefs? Also, I need a little help in deciding which brief will fit me. I'm about 5' 8", which puts me into the "medium size" but I'm also only about 90 lbs. and I have a 29" waist, which means the "small" could fit me too. Also, I'm always siting(in a wheelchair), so would the medium size be better? You guys are the experts afterall lol. take care, speedy_d's
  21. hey everybody, I've been perusing this site for a few moths and finally registered. I created an account as soon as I turned 18, but it never registered with the server, so I created another one today, and low and behold it worked! Um, let's see, a little info about myself. I've loved diapers for as long as I can remember, don't know why, and don't care why, it's just who I am and I'm proud of it. I have a form of muscular dystrophy, I've used a wheelchair on and off since elementary school, but I've been permanently confined to for the past 5 years. I'm extremely interested in computers, cars, etc., typical guy stuff lol. Sort of bad timing but I actually leave for college tomorrow. I don't want to exactly indulge where I'm going quiet yet, maybe just to a select few, but I will say that I'm a mechanical engineering major and computer science minor. I suppose that's enough boring stuff for now. Have a good day, speedy_d's
