  1. It seems counterintuitive to me, because I recall @oznlwriting about how deliberately wetting the bed has been a way to *cure* bedwetting I might add to OP - you're only new to this journey. This is something that takes months and years to learn, and a key part is fully trusting your nappies as is knowing it's okay if leaks happen. So sure - wet into the bed if it helps you overcome a block that it's not okay to pee in bed. I spent months when first training to wet the bed just waking up and starting to pee while in various states of being "in bed". At first it was peeing stood next to the bed (as I could only pee standing up), then crouching on the bed, then kneeling in bed, then laying in bed until it was easy to let it go without having to move. Bliss. But if you don't have a block about peeing while in bed I'm less sure it'll have any effect other than keeping you in the pocket of Big Laundry.
  2. I've found edibles and padding work really well for me. There's no smoke, no smell, just a really nice relaxing effect. The downside is it takes time for them to work - often an hour for me. So if you do use edibles, don't take more when the first ones "don't work" - they'll show up when you badmouth them!
  3. Great pic, I think this solidifies for me that the newer ones have definitely become thinner. I definitely find Tena slip maxi active fit don't work as well for me any more and I haven't achieved such sog in well over a year sadly. The ultima still seems decent though I find it is liable to sag very quickly so needs a supporting garment like a onesie.
  4. Trust me this is related; I sometimes go to open Buddhist meditation sessions, and often newcomers are unable to meditate, they can only focus on the fact they aren't actively meditating. This in turn means they're unable to meditate which makes them stuck. It's a similar story with un-training. The quote that helped me finally meditate and also finally start having unregistered nappy usage is this: "Sometimes the best way from A to B is to stay at A" This applies to untraining - if we focus on our end goal of B, we find ourselves stuck at A. The best way to get to our end goal is to just relax and enjoy being where we are. It sounds counterintuitive, but if you do this, one day you'll find you've moved from A to B without realising it. Indeed! In addition - when we realise we are meditating (or finally wetting the bed etc) - we become conscious of it and it disappears. The skill is being able to meditate and be aware of it without the spell breaking. And a lot of that is having peace and enjoyment of where you're currently at. Same with un-training!
  5. It's so freeing waking up to a soggy nappy between your legs and no need to get out of bed to use the bathroom
  6. In many ways this sounds like a case of BIID (now called BID but that's harder to Google for) - which is where someone's body doesn't match their internal idea of who they are. It's a very real condition and can to lead to people making attempts at "fixing" their bodies to match how they feel they should be. Sadly this is often done harmfully due to the lack of legal routes and understanding of BIID; so strong are the emotions that it's worth the risks and pain to many folk. So I'm very glad that Reddy has chosen to do it in the safest way possible. Reddy, you have my best wishes - it's still an exciting time no doubt for you and us all reading along at home. When the excitement fades and the daily routines are figured out I'd still very much love to hear how you adapt and get on with things.
  7. I've been following your story since the begining being a serial lurker on here, and wished to create an account just to say how much I'm enjoying following you on your journey! For emergency cleanups, might I suggest a spray bottle filled with bleach water? I use this as I can spritz everything with it, tiles, padding, escapees, walls, ceilings (if it's gone horribly wrong) etc. Makes everything smell fresh, though do make sure you have ventilation. It still announces a Code Brown, by the very nature of everything smelling *too* clean
