  1. I feel the same way. Usually people assume that you have a health problem and that's why you wear diapers. These topics are very intimate and therefore there are no deeper questions. For my part, I can say that in the last 12 years only one person has noticed that I wear diapers but hasn't spoken to me about it. It only appeared in a medical report. I recently talked about it with a good friend who now has to wear diapers after a stroke and is not very happy about it. We have known each other for a long time and I told him that he has never seen me without a diaper. This gave him courage because he realized that diapers don't stand out. But here too it was the same: he didn't ask why I was wearing diapers. I think most people answer the question automatically.
  2. Due to constant diaper use for urinary incontinence, my muscles have weakened to the point where, under certain circumstances, poop goes into the diaper. For me that was very uncomfortable. I tried to withstand the pressure, but it just pushed through. That was painful and embarrassing. The cleaning then took place in the shower. I can't imagine cleaning such a mess in a public toilet at the moment. I can cope well with urine in my diaper. Poop in the diaper is a big problem for me. It is associated with a lot of disgust.
  3. Being in diapers full time feels completely normal to me. I don't feel the diaper in everyday life. Often I can't even tell whether the diaper is wet or still dry. Diaper changes and things like that have become completely normal and are done routinely. Things around diapers have also become normal. By that I mean the shopping, going to the doctor, the extra trash. The mattress is protected and the clothing is adapted to constant diaper wearing. I have a good backpack that always contains my extra diapers. For travel, I have an extra large suitcase that can hold my diapers. Sometimes it feels annoying not to be able to be so spontaneous. These are the moments, like just before sleep. I'm tired and want to sleep, but I still have to put on a fresh diaper because otherwise it won't be enough for the night. Or those moments when the diaper has failed and you have to change the bed or change clothes outside of the routine. Although this rarely happens to me with clothing. As I said at the beginning: I don't feel the diaper itself in everyday life, it has become a normal part of me.
  4. That's an interesting thought. I think it will be "boring" in the sense that I understood you. It's just routine. You put on a diaper, you wet it, you put on a new diaper. And because it's "boring", it's sometimes annoying, except that you can't take a break when you're incontinent. If I want to take a diaper break, the only option is the urinary catheter. This can help, but it quickly becomes annoying and I return to the diaper. I think the idea of the stent is good. But you really have to do it continuously, maybe first a week, then a month, then six months. If it's still good, you can make it permanent. If I had the choice between a good stent and permanent incontinence, I would probably choose the stent.
  5. Sometimes it's strange. Diapers are completely normal for me. I get the diapers on prescription, I have a suitable closet for the diapers, my clothes have been changed to bodysuits, the mattress is protected. But there are things that bother me. For example, there is the garbage problem. There is a lot of trash and the trash bags are heavy. When I travel - and I travel often for work - I always to have the right amount of diapers with me. That's a lot of luggage. This is exhausting for me. And since this year the problem of fecal incontinence has been added. I find that unpleasant and hope it was just a few isolated accidents. In addition, there are many small everyday problems that come with living with diapers. But: a life without diapers also has many problems, but people accept them because it doesn't work for them any other way. The long movie and the urge to urinate, long journeys without toilets and the urge to urinate. I often experience this with friends when they're desperately looking for a toilet and I think to myself, "Thank God I don't have that problem." I would put it this way: life with diapers is not a life full of problems, it is rather a different way of living, with its own challenges but also comforts. In my opinion, there is no need to be afraid of urinary incontinence.
  6. In relation to the original question, I can confirm that wearing diapers and urinary incontinence probably also have an impact on fecal incontinence. In the last few months it has happened to me twice that I have pooped in my diaper without any control and they were both very unpleasant moments. I had no chance of stopping it. During the last examination, my urologist said that my muscles in the anal area had become significantly weaker. I suspect that by wearing diapers all the time, there is no longer any need to keep the anal muscle constantly tense, which leads to weakening. It's just a guess, but right now it seems like I'm heading towards double incontinence and that's making me uncomfortable. I don't think peeing in a diaper is a bad thing, but the smells of poo are not good in many places. Changing a pee-filled diaper on the go is no problem, a poo-filled diaper is a lot of work. I hope a good solution can be found.
  7. 1. First, let’s decide the severity for urinary incontinence: - Severe / Total incontinence 2. Next determine the primary type of urinary incontinence: - Intermittent floods 3 Very good! How much awareness do you want to have? - No awareness of having to pee. Total amnesia. 4. What about nights? - Heavy wetting with infrequent pee dreams. 5. Do you want your incontinence to be reversible or permanent? - Permanent 6. Do you wish to have bowel incontinence as well? - No bowel incontinence 7. Finally, would you like to add toilet confusion, thus impossible to use a toilet? - No
